Kelly, 34, was pronounced dead Wednesday night at the Atlanta Medical Center, Clint Harbin, an investigator with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, told ABC News Radio.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death and an autopsy is expected to be performed later today.

“It appears it may have been a possible drug overdose,” said Cpl. Kay Lester, a spokeswoman for the Fulton County police, according to The Associated Press.

Kelly (known as “Mac Daddy”), along with Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith, the backward-pants-wearing mini-rappers, rose to fame with their song “Jump” from their 1992 album, “Totally Krossed Out.”

Tharold Simon’s draft weekend hasn’t gone as planned: the LSU cornerback expected to be selected in the 2013 NFL Draft was arrested in his hometown of Eunice, Louisiana Thursday night after an incident with a police officer.

Per a police report, Simon allegedly refused to move his car for a police officer, turning his radio all the way up and telling the officer that he would be fired if he tried to write a ticket for Simon:

According to the report, Simon told the officer, “I own Eunice,” and “I’m gonna buy these projects and you are gonna be mine.”

That earned him charges of public intimidation, resisting an officer, and unnecessary noise violation. Simon had been suspended a game in 2011 for failing a drug test. It doesn’t sound as if Simon did anything particularly egregious Thursday night, but it probably wasn’t the smartest move considering this is the weekend NFL teams are actively deliberating on whether to select him. The town of 10,000 about 90 miles from Baton Rouge still plans to hold a ceremony for Simon Friday night.

Simon started for the first time as a junior in 2012, intercepting four passes with 13 pass breakups for a defense that finished 12th in the nation in points allowed. He declared for the draft early, a somewhat surprising decision considering he’s expected to be a fourth- or fifth-rounder.

Bearded men are hanging out in the snow, talking about something. There is one guy without a beard, but rather an Oscar Wilde haircut. It wasn’t shown, but I am sure that despite the fact that he does not have a beard, he must have a horse, possibly a torch. An overweight gentleman, probably the Piggy of the group, does not have a horse, and collapses. One of his travelling companions is assigned as his horse.

There’s this kid who can’t walk who has a vivid dream about Liam Neeson’s son from Love Actually. He can walk in this dream, which must also be the sweetest dream of the bearded guy in charge of carrying him around. Later in the episode we see that the two of them are soul mates, both having boring dreams, both being protected by lady friends with pointy things, both rocking goofy haircuts.

Ron Stark – King of all Game of Thronesia

Elsewhere, an older lady is doing macrame when she is approached by an attractive woman who looks unusually well-bathed for having been in the woods for as long as it seems. Turns out the older lady, in addition to her crafting hobby, also prays for small children to become diseased. When her prayers go unanswered, she figures she would make up for it by giving the baby her last name, Stark. Not sure how that’s a step up from Snow, especially if the kid was planning on becoming a Canadian dancehall reggae singer, but people seem to like the name Stark in Game of Thronesia. Is there a connection with Ron Stark from Tim & Eric?

Finally we see a place with sunlight, but it is populated by mothers with creepily close relationships to their sons (q.v. Bates Motel). The example is set by King Sparky, a little blonde fella who is full of vim and vinegar despite the obvious lack of a beard. Later, a redheaded girl explains that King Bucko is famous for vicious killings, including having beheaded her (most likely bearded) father. That explains his general high spirits despite the dearth of facial hair, as later he is able to arouse his would-be queen by demonstrating his jeweled crossbow. If it works, who am I to judge? Bejeweled crossbows must be their equivalent of bling-ed iPhone cases. Beblinged? Perhaps he picked up his love of campy Liberace-styled weapons from his father, whose homosexuality is broadly implied by King Spanky’s mother.

For some reason, the shortest man on the show does not have a beard. I think he’d look good with one. I hope that he ends up growing one, although it would probably be prefaced by several episodes where he talks about doing it first.

Hey, was that Diana Rigg? Yeah, cool. I thought I had a flashback of watching PBS’ Mystery! in the 90′s. I wonder if her Game of Thrones character had previously been played by Vincent Price. I also wonder if I could possibly make more obscure references. Here’s one – Billy from Pulling also appears in this episode.

There are all sorts of clips of a blonde woman with dragons in the preview for next week’s show, but she wasn’t in this episode. I wonder if she really exists or if she just appears in preview clips with the promise of dragons. Surely if there were dragons on the show, something would happen. The question is, would the dragons have horses or would they BE horses?

Either way, I wouldn’t think they’d need torches.

Full disclosure: This is the first episode of Game of Thrones I’ve seen, so I may have been hazy on some of the finer plot and character details.

First off, we have done a major makeover to www.comedyfoodsports.com so please check the site out. We’re very happy with the new layout. There a bunch of other changes to come, but that is the first of many little things that we’ll be updating here and there.

On a side note, I was on Laffcast’s Bob and Dave are Terrible People on Wednesday. It’s available at www.laffcast.com

Johnny Goodtimes calls into the podcast this week to talk about how awesome his full time job is, some new rules for the NBA to make things interesting, the Phils, his Philadelphia Sports History Website, and bone marrow (of course!) Check out http://johnnygoodtimes.com/ for more info on where Johnny will be!

The second segment is pretty much all March Madness related.

The third segment, we talk about the cheesesteak staple in northeast Philly that changed it’s name, because it was offensive to everyone in Philly outside of the northeast.

Sorry for the poor sound quality, but we’re testing out a few things on our end. This option will probably not make the top ten list I’m guessing.

A few more big announcements to come, but Rich Eisen will be calling in during the draft and we have a few really big guests lined up.

Enjoy!!

Bryce Harper attempting to gain an unfair advantage by using a bat with an abnormally wide barrel. Experts call it the “using the red bat in wiffleball” strategy.

Redefining “quitting while you’re ahead”, Washington Nationals’ outfielder Bryce Harper hit home runs in each of his first two at bats of the season. After completing his second home run trot he walked straight into the locker room, quickly changed into street clothes, and drove off into the sunset.

Nationals manager Davey Johnson said in a postgame press conference, “I sent Randy (bench coach Randy Knoor) into the clubhouse after the inning was over to look for him, and he came back with a note that read, ‘I have done all I can this season and want to retire knowing that I have had the single greatest season in the history of Major League Baseball’.”

Harper is the first player in MLB history to have a season batting average of 1.000 along with two home runs, for a slugging percentage of 4.000. By contrast, in 1927 Babe Ruth hit just 60 home runs in 681 plate appearances. Harper was on pace to hit over 600 home runs, which would have put him just behind Ken Griffey, Jr. at seventh all-time. The Nationals are unsure if Harper will return in 2014 to try to repeat his historic feat.

Said Johnson, “I haven’t seen shit this crazy since Kevin Mitchell (allegedly) cut that cat’s head off. Damn the 80′s were nuts.”
