The warfare that goes on
Both of us are stressed and we have different coping mechanism when we are stressed. There is hardly a day we did not fight on the phone. We fought about everything and nothing in particular. We have been both frustrated and short fused. Our marriage is certainly going through a rocky curve.
It might be common for couples to fight, but it’s so unhealthy to not find time to resolve issues that caused the fights in the first place.

The backache has been keeping me awake at night and the quality of sleep has been horrible in the last two weeks. I ended up so exhausted during the day, I took a long nap in the afternoon. It’s bad because that started the vicious cycle of sleeping late and getting up late and long nap in the afternoon. Sigh..
The acupunchurist actually reminded me many times to sleep earlier and watch what I eat. He thinks the knee pain might have been caused by certain food I ate!

Go for acupunchure again
Mom and I went for another session of acupunchure today. It’s her fifth session and my fourth session. Mom’s leg pain has improved a lot, whereas my lower back pain doesn’t get any better.
In fact, it has worsen the last few days. The pain has been keeping me wide awake last few nights. Don’t know what’s going with my spine, maybe I should also go for a MRI to find out what’’s wrong?

Endowment policy is horrible
When I first got out of college, one of my relatives approached my parents to sign me up for a life insurance. I didn’t know anything about insurance at that time, since my parents and the relative recommended endowment policy so that I get to start saving so they said, I signed up for one without knowing what I get myself into.
That was a big financial mistake, endowment policy is so much more expensive than a term life insurance and it is a horrible vehicle for investment. I would certainly be doing better paying for a term life insurance and invest the difference in other ways.
So, after being on the plan for 10 years and after much thoughts I decided to surrender the endowment policy back to the company for the cash value. Of course, I got back much less than what I have paid in the last ten years.
It would be different if I know about a smart alternative to policy surrender. Little did I know that selling endowment policies to other companies other than the insurance company is possible, which you can generally get 35% more than your surrender value! So, if you have n endowment policy that you want to get rid of, check out the link and find out what kind of offers you can get!

The last time I left behind family and friends to live in VA for a year in the early 90s, it was kind of difficult and costly to keep in touch with everyone. Affordable VoIP calls were not available yet, Internet penetration rate was rather low, most of my friends do not have access to Internet at home at that time!
This time that I am moving to IL for good, things have changed a lot over last ten to twenty years. Not only we can keep in touch with old friends and family via so many different ways i.e. emails, blogs, VoIP calls, we can also meet new friends through social media sites. Life will never be the same with the CAT6 cables.
Can you think the many ways you can share your life with old and new friends? Isn’t it exciting to have a place where you can upload your photo albums and MP3 and join the group blogs chat with other members?

Went for a surgery to remove ovarian cysts recently. Before I decided to go for the surgery, I have seen three gynecologists and all of them thought the cysts showed up during the ultra sound scans were endometriotic. During the surgery, the gynecologist discovered they are dermoid cysts and a bunch of small cysts due to Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
That explains the multiple breakouts that I had in the last few years. In fact, I never have serious skin problem nor need any acne treatment during my teens and twenties. Only in my thirties!

It must be the wedding season right now! My parents receive so many wedding party invitations for the last few weekend. This weekend alone, there are three wedding dinners to attend!
Even my ten years old nephew was robbed in to attend the dinner. At least he is excited about it. The rest of us are sick of the food at Chinese wedding dinners and refused to attend on behalf of my parents.
We didn’t invite anyone outside of our immediate family when we hosted the last wedding in our family 12 years ago, so don’t understand why this people never practice the law of reciprocal !
Night owl wants to sleep early
It has been like that since my early 20s, I don’t go to bed until 1-2 am every night. Either reading, watching TV or surfing the net, I don’t go to bed until I am dead tired!
When I was healthy, lead an active life style and often spent time on the fitness equipment during my 20s, I never feel the effect of this owl like lifestyle. But, in the last few years, as lifestyle became more sedate, I have a feeling that sleeping late is really detrimental to health and not good for my body system. I suspect the obstruction problem has a lot to do with it.
So, in the past week, I tried to go to bed at about 10-10.30 p.m, was able to do it for five nights. Not bad for a night ow , lets see whether the night owl can change her sleeping habit!

My cousin Veronica came to visit last Wednesday because she heard from another aunt about the surgery and cancer scare that I went through in the last few weeks. She is expecting a baby boy and the estimated delivery date is end of May.
Like most of the girls in my extended family, Veronica married quite late and having her first baby in her mid 30s! She looks alright and quite healthy. Hope to be able to meet the baby before I leave for IL. Have no clue what baby gifts to get for her boy. I think I would let my mom takes care of that!

The security software program on my deskstop has expired, I have not yet renewed it because I am considering changing to another software instead of renewing it. It’s suspected that the anti-virus and anti-program is the culprit that slowing down the computer a lot.
I really dislike that and feel it’s quite a pain in the butt especially when the PC is already two and half years old and it’s not as fast as a new machine with bigger memory and higher RAM. I have learned of the NOD32 recently, do you have any experience or know of anyone who uses it ? Is it a better security software?
