I can’t answer for you. As I’ve reflected on my own pattern – primarily hacker – I’ve discovered two things which are significant. First, one of my strengths is “learner” so I both enjoy and am good at learning new things. As a result I quickly know enough to get by – and that’s what I do. Second, I haven’t really chosen specific things to master. This is what I am reflecting on further. How many things can I master? How many do I want to? Which ones? I’m thinking 2 or 3 would be quite an achievement – my list still has 7-8 things on it. I believe that is too many. How about you? What have you decided is worth giving your life to master?

I do recognize them all in my life, more or less. The problem is that I don’t ever have the intention to be one of these, but always to be on the path to mastery. Where and how do I leave the right path?

Multiply your church I’m familiar with. Non-Violent Communication is a new title to me. Are you familiar with Crucial Conversations? Is this title similar?

BTW – I’m still a PC. More likely to become an Android than a Mac, but we’ll see.

This has proven true time and time again over 3 decades of Martial Arts training and instructing. The students who ‘got this’ became some of the cream of the crop. Keep training during the plateau, in order to fully benefit from the peaks.
