@Jeff Think I’ve had the Marques de Caceres as well but due to sloppy record keeping can’t prove it. The Big House is one I will keep an eye out for though. Thanks for the suggestions.

The Marques de Caceres Rose is pretty good, and it’s only $7. You also might try the Big House label, which is around there, but I haven’t had it since Randal Graham sold the winery, so who knows if it’s actually good anymore. It was a couple of years ago.

@Jeff I’ve actually had the La Ferme Rose, looks like based on your review our assessment is about the same. Hoping to find something in the $8 range I really enjoy drinking. Funny enough, whenever I travel I always find the Rose’s to be a steal. I was drinking a great one in Greece for the equivalent of $6. Now if I could only find it here…

You should try the La Ferme Julian Cotes du Ventoux. It’s from Rhone Valley Vintners, it’s widely available, and it’s only 5$ at TJ’s.

@Marlyn As mentioned in the post I liked this wine I just preferred the King Shag. That said the rating was a little harsh so I have gone ahead and added a disclaimer there. BTW, I wish all of my disagreements were this pleasant. You get a $6 SB you love and I get one for $7. Enjoy!

@Danny The Dashwood you say? I think they have that at K&L too. You are going to bankrupt my wine budget ;)

@Peter As for this wine and the King Shag the New Zealand offering has that grassiness that I don’t find as prevalent in Chilean Suavignon Blanc. For a larger, side by side comparison I’ll think about it. The thing is these wines are so damn enjoyable I hate to take away from that!

@Umamia Thanks for the tip. By the way, did you know Kalyra wines are available at Trader Joe’s under the Santa Ynez Valley Winery label? I’ve enjoyed the Gewurzt and Cab Franc. Fingers crossed for a rose showing up…

It would be interesting to have a comparision between this wine and TJ’s King Shag, another SB at about the same price.
