Hey Francine,
Hope you can join us. Childcare is always the hardest part isn't it and absolutely important so you can focus on yourself and your business. My children will be staying with my sister in Sydney but on the Friday we'll be putting them to work at the event because they will be with us for the day. It's nice for them to be a part of what we do so you'll see them on the reception table and handing out activity sheets on the day.
They're 11 and 13 so pretty self sufficient though I'm sure Clancy will try and find somewhere to kick his ball!

Oh Dana and barb...why aren't you in Australia? It would be so wonderful to have your energy in the room as you both give such great energy on our intensive calls for the passion to Profits Program!
Marney, the post event let down is really common. It comes from being surrounded by energy and "can do" ideas then going home to reality and all the things that distract you from your goals. That's why we have planned a follow-up tele-class for participants a week after the event to help keep that energy going. Plus people will have a real action plan they'll be creating at the event so they can focus on that action. The secret is to have mastermind and accountability partners and keep going to live events. I go to quite a few each year. Some as the speaker but many just to be in the audience and learn from the people on stage and people in the audience. It's especially important if you work on your own.

AnneMarie, I think all of us have been at networking events or conferences and had the hard sell put on them by someone. They're the person every one moves away from like they have really bad body odour. There is nothing worse.
When I go to events as a participant or as a speaker I always say in my mind, almost like a mantra, "who can I help today, how many people can I help today"? It makes a huge difference to the way you communicate when there and without fail, this is the attitude that attracts people to do business with you.

Hey Anne, pleased you like the no-waffle. I'm setting myself a challenge to create regular really useful videos with actionable content in less than 5 minutes. Great to get the feedback that it is valuable. Ireland is on my bucket list. I have a hefty dose of Irish blood in me. My mother is an O'Connor so I'm sure there's people over there sharing a lot of my genes :)

Hi Janet
Thanks for the great info. I am the first to admit that I never make the most of networking opportunities and I need to work hard to improve it - these tips are great!
I first saw you 12 months ago at Danette's Stilleto camp in Sydney and your event is just the opportunity I have been waiting for but I am still trying to find a way! I have 2 littlies which makes it a bit tricky but I am working on it!!
Hopefully I'll be one of the lucky ones to benefit from your event! and I look forward to your brilliant info in the meantime.
Thanks Janet!

Hi Janet,

Wonderful words of wisdom! There is truly nothing like attending live events to create that spark and energy. The one key thing to remember when you come away from live events is to put what you've learned into action! Knowledge without implementation produces zero results. I know how much time and energy you put into everything you do. I can only imagine how much value and incredible information everyone who attends will come away with!

Finding potential customers and clients at events like this comes almost naturally. Together with so many wonderful like minded Men and Women, everyone benefits. Janet, it's another win, win, win, win!

I wish I could be there Janet, but just can't make it for this event. I will be thinking of you...take care and have a FABULOUS time! Woman...YOU ROCK!!!

Big Hugs Gorgeous!

Janet,
Great information. Too often we forget about the added value of attending events like yours.
In addition to the knowledge you gain from listening to the speakers, making connections and networking can truly make a significant difference in the growth of you personally as well as your business.
Thanks Janet!
Go get'm girl!

Hi Janet
As usual a great little video on a commonly asked issue. I had never thought about why it was better to go from a business angle before. I know I always enjoy the hype and energy that is evident at a live event. People are always so excited and enthusiastic at live shows, it is afterwords that they feel empty and a little lost. Bit like the morning after the night before.
For those who find it a challenge to go by yourself, remember a stranger is only someone you have not been introduced to yet! Enjoy yourself and most important have fun!
Have a great workshop, Janet:)

Wonderful video Janet with important tips for anyone attending a live event.

I particularly like the tip that you mentioned about not trying to 'hard sell' potential clients. Rather, take the time to build your reputation and credibility by sharing a resource or some helpful information.

People are far more likely to want to work with you if they know, like and trust you. Take the time to build your relationships before selling your wares. If you make a solid impression you may find that clients flock to hire/invest in you!
