I am skeeered now. What if my three ratlins turn on me and try to maul me. Oh, the horror.

Austin Zoo is a refuge for abandoned or neglected wild animals that people can no longer care for.

I think it’s cruel to cage some animals, but with destruction of the environment and loss of ecosystems, some animals will have to be housed in zoos/cages to protect the species in the future and some animals have been rescued from sure death in the wild.

I agree with you in most instances.

BUT I REFUSE TO GIVE UP MY RATS. THEY LOVE ME TOO MUCH.

I fear that very thing. Unfortunately for us, my youngest son is just like me. My mother and brother get such a kick out of it. I guess karma does exist.

I always wonder how many of my traits will be picked up by kids. I was pretty defiant- thus far they don’t seem to be. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy about that.

But sometimes it throws me a bit to see that they aren’t.
