Connectivity Issues

Sorry for the lack of updates but I've moved.. again and am now experiencing some major connection issues with my internet service provider.

It always goes a little wonky when I move my computer but this is just ridiculous.

First things were sliding downhill and I didn't have the heart nor the energy to talk about them in my blog. I'm a personal blogger and in all honesty, my blog is my sanity. A place where I can talk about anything that's on my mind, big or small with no worries as to who's around to judge or ridicule me. But at the same time I don't want my blog filled with post upon post of nothing but bad happenings.

Now that a little peace has returned to my life and I'm ready to blog again my internet connection is all but broken.

I've been trying, in vain, to update comotized for the past five nights.

Am I annoyed? A little, am I pissed off? You bet, but what can I do that I haven't already done?

I've reinstalled the software, checked my modem, checked all my computer cords, rebuilt my connection options and a whole host of other fruitless things.

I'm trying my best to be patient but patience has never been one of my strong points and as much as I love my cymbalta.. it's not a miracle drug and can't fix everything.

Now an internet connection might not seem like much to you, and normally it doesn't mean that much to me either but I've got a ton of work I need to get done and not being able to make any sort of dent in the pile is more than a little frustrating.

I incinerated windows live writer because I only used it once but man am I wishing I had left it on my hard drive now. The draft posts would deffinately come in handy and the interface sure beats notepad by a long shot.

But I'm used to notepad so it really isn't all that bad. I can deal with it, now weather or not I can connect long enough to copy and paste this into the wordpress write panel is another question.

I'm also sorely pissed off about the loss of my beloved firefox. It died many months ago but I still miss it. Internet Explorer is a no-no for me and even though Opera might be fast it has a lot of internet explorer tendancies that I can live without.

The cache system might as well be identicle to internet explorer, the skins suck, the security is questionable and it's only 'lightning' fast for the first five seconds you have it open.

I'm tired of having to refresh a page 10,000 times just to see where I edited something and added a period to the end of a sentence or fixed a typo. And I'm really.. really tired of seeing time out errors.

My computer is old but does it have to be grumpy too?

Add the computer problems on top of the life problems and I'm more than ready to find a nice dark hole to crawl into.

I won't get into the details just yet, I'll leave that for when I can actually type in my administration panel.

But god do I hate computers sometimes!

I'll return comments whenever my connection gives me enough time. I know I'm late but I haven't forgotten I promise! comrock84

Me & Two Kitties… In the tub?

Yup, the tub.

I've been super sick for four or five days now. Some virus type thing that acts out as a severe cold with flu type symptoms mixed in.

The other day the entire household went camping, minus me as I was far too sick. So I lounged around the house enjoying the silence and finally decided to take a nice long bath.

Being that no one else was home the kittens, Bailey and Jag, quickly became bored and decided to join me by sitting on the side of the tub.

The bath tub in the master bedroom is gigantic with room for toiletries all around, so letting them sit there while I bathed wasn't an issue.

At first they were content to just sit and watch the soap bubbles swirl around on top of the water.. but then they got curious.

Tiny little paws started dipping into the water, being drawn back out to shake water droplets every-which-a-way, then back down into the water again to repeat the process.

It's a game Boboe plays and one which I'm familiar and okay with, so I let them be and set to 'work' shaving my legs.

Bailey kept up with his game of dunk and splatter but from the corner of my eye I saw a tiny striped body inching closer to the water.

I kept shaving my legs, not thinking for a million years Jag would be stupid enough to inch so far that he'd fall in but low and behold a short time-span later I heard a splash and saw a tiny dark blob swimming frantically in my bath water!

I quickly reached in with my free hand, scooped him up and out of the tub and watched as he zoomed out of the room sopping wet laughing and choking (I'm sick remember?) until tears came out of my eyes.

Needless to say it's become quite apparent that Boboe is, without a doubt, their father.

What is it with cats around this house that require them to always invade my bath time? comrock84

The Devil’s Milk

After tossing and turning for a few hours this morning I finally gave up and crawled out of bed to get a cup of coffee.

Not wanting to wake anyone else in the house I left my lamp off and padded through the darkness, stubbing my toe on the barstool, running into the kitchen island and tripping over an overly fat cocker spaniel along the way.

I got to the counter, filled my cup and placed it in the microwave then set about getting the sugar and creamer lined up to make it easier on myself in the dark. Once I had the line formed I pulled the top off the milk container and set it gently back on top, so it was open but nothing could fly into it.

Now here I am in the darkness with only the microwave for light, minding my own business as the coffee went on it's two-minute rotation expedition when I hear a pop and see a vague shape fly in front of my face...

Startled, my head automatically snapped in the direction of the flying object where I notice the milk cap isn't where it's supposed to be. Instead of resting on top of the milk jug there's a spatter of milk on the counter with the cap a few inches away.

So I pick up the cap and put it back into place then stand there, bent forward and squinting like a mad-woman in the dark at a milk jug..

After standing there a few seconds I was rewarded (and re-startled) by a pop and.. a flying milk cap!

Now, for those of you who don't know this.. milk isn't carbonated and therefore, in my personal opinion, their caps shouldn't just randomly spring into action and fly through the air..

Don't get me wrong, it was kind of neat watching it happen.. but really, since when do milk caps jump off of the jug??

Needless to say I was a little skeptical of said milk and poked the jug a few times before attempting to pick it up. And I'm not afraid to admit I was officially freaked out and peered into the jug while holding it out at arms length in case it decided to attack me with it's possessed contents.

Shit, I don't want devil's milk flying into my eye and blinding me for the rest of my days! No sir ree, nuh uhs, not gonna happen, not on my watch at least!

You will be glad to know, and proud I'm sure, that I did finish making my coffee. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed it at the kitchen table with a cigarette as I kicked my feet like a little child..

I'm short... short people kick their feet when sitting.. we just do, so don't ask me why *shrugs* comrock84

Officially Blue

As you can see I finished with my personal revamp of the WP Premium theme.

It's bright but I dig it. I do think I need to up the font size a tad though. The blue background makes the medium, 'normal', sized text hard to read.. or maybe it's just me?

Anywho, it's finished color/graphic wise. Now I just need to re-install a few plugin snippits and I'm ready to rock and roll my way into other areas of the site. Such as inserting line breaks to the pages (no the paragraph problem still hasn't been fixed *sniffles*), optimizing my images for google search results and other minor things.

So what do you think, should I keep the new color scheme or switch it back to one of the standard, pre-built, WP Premium style sheets? comrock84

Side Projects & Recommendations

I'm on a small mission to pimp this theme out a little bit.

I've uploaded a new copy of wordpress where I'll be editing my little heart out. It's my goal to come up with at least three brighter schemed versions of this theme to complement and go along with the pre-set package.

While I'm not sure the author allows me to do this I am sure he/she won't mind me editing the theme for my own personal use. Now weather or not I'll be able to share them is another story that I'll take up when I'm finished with my edits.

Along with drastic color changes, I plan to prefix some plugin stylings such as flickr RSS and My Twitter as those are two plugins that seem to be most in use these days. I think I'll also pre-install the code snippet for the Sez Who plugin as well because I feel it's an important and downright priceless tool for bloggers.

I think a switch to more colorful icons might be in order as well. I'm really not digging the black and white ones that come standard with this theme. In reality those icons are really the only complaint I have about it as a whole. It's a damned good theme. Clean, roomy, easily modified. It's everything you could ask for in a wordpress theme when you sit back and think about it.

On a sidenote I highly recommend all my fellow bloggers to head over to the Sez Who website and register an account. You don't have to use the plugin (even though I really think it's a highly useful tool!) but it's always nice to be able to keep track of websites you've commented on and get a little star power in people's sideboards. Free traffic and recognition, how can ya beat that? comrock84

Add that in to the fact that he's obsessed with water and goes swimming (in the bathtub, shower, birdbath.. rain it doesn't matter) along with the fact that he has to inspect everything (and make you fix it if it's wrong) and it really is amazing to see the difference between now and then.

He's not even a full year old and he's huge. I can't wait to get him fixed so I can see just how big he'll really get. I just can't believe how different he is, it's like two completely different cats! comrock84

The Weird:

When I talk to the fishies in Wal*Mart, they all come swimming to the front of the tank and follow my finger wherever it goes.
I can wave to people with the little toe on my right foot.
My jaw is double jointed. I can pop the bones in and out of their sockets on both sides. This 'trick' comes in very handy for freaking people out!
I like to pick my boogies and eat them.. no just playing but in all seriousness I found a pot plant growing in our front yard the other day, damn thing was half as tall as I am and before 'putting it to sleep' I took a photo of it because I found it hilarious.. No, it wasn't my pot plant, we still haven't figured out where it came from (other than a seed of course) but seriously, what are the odds of going to plant flowers in your garden and finding a 2 and half foot tall pot plant?!

The Random:

I'm 24 today.. god I feel old. On the plus side I got some kick ass makeup and a super cute shirt.. and purse, yay me!
A giant june beetle just landed.. in my hair. Maybe I smell good?
I kicked Daniel in the ass the other night at Wal*Mart when he was bent over looking at cough drops... I accidently kicked him too hard and he fell over INTO the display rack and toppled into the floor. The old couple passing by the isle found it highly amusing.. god I love old people hehe

Not too interesting but I really suck when it comes to thinking about facts when it reguards myself. Have you ever wondered why people think the things you do are weird and you just think they're normal?

People never see the things they do as weird.. unless it's something REALLY out there, but I wonder why that is? You'd think someone eating their own boogers woud know they're a fuckin weirdo.. no offense to those of you out there who participate in that passtime but um.. ew?

Fiddling Around

Running Paragraphs

Something seems to be wrong with the paragraphs in my blog. For some reason they're all running together. I've dug and prodded for four hours trying to find the cause but so far have been unlucky. You'll have to squint your eyes and bear with me for the time being until I get things sorted out. There's also a problem with my quilting bee page and yet again, I have no clue what's going on. Apparently people still think it's okay to steal, redistribute and direct link my content. Thanks to a super nice commentor I now know my vectors and scribbles are being unskillfully 'pimped' out on the following page: http://fantasy.passion.myblog.de/fantasy.passion/page/1752618. Thanks to babel fish I've sent an e-mail to the myblog.de team requesting the removal of my content. I also let them know how appalled and offended I was by it.. in a polite way of course. I just don't understand why it's so hard for some people to create their own content. No one said your artwork had to be great, hell mine isn't great so why the fuck are you stealing it to begin with? Furthermore, why do you want a website if you can't put any effort into it? If you suck at drawing or making graphics, don't make them, find some other form of content you're good at doing and put that on your site but for god's sake quit stealing everyone elses hard work. If this was real life your nose would be bloody for acting like such a fuck-tard. Grow up. All of us have to do things for ourselves at some point in life so why not start now before your brain shrinks any further into the dark hole of stupidity? Go buy a box of $2.00 crayons and draw a fucking stick figure for all I care. All I ask is that you leave my, and other people's, content the hell alone. Either that or steal something that'll be more beneficial to you.. like a big fat book called 'How not to be a fuck-tard: for idiots' Trust me when I say you'll get far more out of that guide than you will by stealing my stuff. *growls* comrock84

Houston we have babies!

A lot has gone on since my last blog post. The biggest happening is that I moved out of Cody's. There was far too much interferance going on and I was tired of being treated like shit when I'd done nothing wrong.

Note that Cody isn't the one at fault. The interferance party consisted of two of his family members and one of his friends. Cody and I are still friends, I just don't live with him anymore *shrugs*

I no longer have my own bedroom and instead of 'going to bed' I 'go to couch' instead, but beggars can't be choosers and I am, in all honesty, much happier here.

I've got my sleeping buddies (Tigger and BoBoe) back and woke up this morning to four newborn baby kitties. I was hoping a solid black one would be in the bunch but I wasn't so lucky. Instead we got two tiger-stiped and two dark grey ones. All of which are very cute!

Naturally I had to pick each one up, smell it, give it a kiss on the head and place them in a box (with their mommy of course). There really is nothing that smells like a baby kitty.. except a baby kitty. It isn't a bad smell, I love it but it's just hard to explain. It's sort of like a newborn human baby, they just smell good for no apparent reason and they all smell the same.

Other than that I really haven't been doing much other than terrorizing my mother and her boyfriend.. and his kids. A lot of laughter which is much needed after the four months of 'hell' I went through.

Robby set himself on fire with gasoline, Barry cut the end of his pinky off, BoBoe turned into inspector gadget, Mom and Tim got drunk and fell over a giant boulder...

Now I know people setting themselves on fire and cutting their pinkies off doesn't sound funny but it really is. A - we still have no clue how Robby managed to catch himself on fire in the first place, B - I made him put an entire stick of butter on his face C - Barry was convinced the entire tip of his pinky was gone when in reality it was just a bad cut.. You really just had to be there and view it to understand the humor in it.

As for Boboe and his new inspection job.. I can't even wash the soap out of my hair in the bathtub without feeling a paw on my forehead every five seconds. He literally inspects everything. His food, other animals, my cloths, the bathtub, the roof... and if it doesn't add up to his furry standards he'll come and bug the shit out of you until you follow him to the problems source and fix it.

He is, without a doubt, the weirdest cat I have ever known. The sad part is that he's my cat and I more than likely have full blame over his weirdness. *shrugs*

We also have a new potty inspector named Jaylin. Apparently whenever you put purple soap into the potty and swish it around it becomes a baby splash-fest. The bad part, pottys are gross; the good part, the soap makes it clean and disinfects so the baby is in no real danger *wipes forehead*

Did you ever do shit like this when you were little? The worst thing I ever did was eat a handful of dirt and that was only because Chris (Jaylin's daddy / my brother) told me it was candy.. the fucker *grumbles* comrock84

Attitudial Confusion

The cymbalta is working but yet again things are going wrong. Why I don't know. But Cody's grandma told him that if I don't 'lose the attitude' I'd have to move out. So now Cody is mad at me and I'm sitting here wondering what she's talking about. I haven't been anything but polite to my knowledge. The only attitude I can even remotely think of is that she possibly mistook a joke for something serious or she thought I was mad earlier when Cody went out with April.. but I wasn't mad, I was just in my bedroom filing my nails, turning my bed down and putting my pajama's on. It seems everytime I finally get comfortable here I'm threatened with being kicked out and I honestly don't know why. I really wish his grandma would just come and talk to me so I at least know what's going on. I can't fix things when I don't know they're wrong to begin with. I'm not psychic and lord knows I try to be nothing but polite and curtious, the last thing I want is for them to think I'm being mean or attitudial towards them. I honestly don't know, I guess I'm going to have to pull her aside and talk to her tomorrow to find out what's going on. I don't want her thinking I'm being mean when I'm not. She doesn't really know me so it's more than likely a huge misunderstanding but it's a misunderstanding that's going to have to be sorted out. I'm tired of being threatened and not knowing why, cymbalta is a good mood leveler but it can't fix everything ya know? Now I'm just worried, stressed out and nausious.. and confused, very very confused. comrock84

Cymbalta - Normalcy at Last!

After calling the doctor and rite aid pharmacy every day for two weeks I finally got my prescription of cymbalta filled and in my hands. I had six my mom gave me (same dosage/mg that I was on before) and those ran out today so thank god they came in. I've known I needed them for two months now. They are without a doubt, the only depression medication that has ever worked for me. Instead of picking me up and dropping me down like a rocket or making me feel like I'm going to die or want to kill someone they level me out and I get to feel like my normal self again. While I don't like taking any medication I'm well aware that I have depression problems along with a whole host of other issues. I can readily admit when I need something and generally know just what that something is. I have hereditary depression and have lived with it since I was a child. The exact age it was noticeable is beyond me to calculate but it's always been a part of my everyday life. In a normal, semi-quiet environment I can handle my depression on my own without the help of pills but when I'm put into a stressful situation that isn't going to go away (aka: living at Cody's house) I need something to put a balance in my brain. Otherwise I just can't cope with things or life in general. It's a sad thing to admit but it's the truth, so why deny it? Another bonus of Cymbalta that I never noticed before is that it helps with anxiety problems as well. I have social anxiety, which I doubt cymbalta has a deflector for but just to be able to sit back and not feel nervous for a change is awesome. This is the happiest and most normal I have felt since November of 2007. There is one issue with my prescription that I'm worried about, and that's the fact that the dosage of them is 60mg when I'm used to taking only 30. Double the strength so I'm not quite sure how it'll make me feel. I know they won't hurt me but I also realize I'm going to have to take them far earlier than I did the others. I usually take them in the middle of the day so they level me out then let me sleep on a normal schedule. I guess I'll have to take this new higher dosage early in the morning. The first few pills will be trial and error (fun fun, sarcasm sarcasm), after that I'll learn the right schedule for my body and I can move on with my life. Now all I need is some new pants (mine are falling off of me), a job and.. a pony? Nah I don't want a pony but I would adore one of the baby rats they have at our local pet store. I go in to play with them once a week during job hunting. So cute, I love the little black one but alas, I can't have her *sniffles* Anyone have a belt they aren't using? comrock84

A dunce with a ten foot tall cone-cap

Is it just me or does comotized go from one issue to another? I joined Snark the other day (love it, you should totally join me in my procrastination efforts there!) and left my standard 'I'm a cheeseball' introduction post only to find out that comotized randomly hands out 403 error pages! Now I'm guessing (and was told by a fellow snarkian) that the problem resides somewhere in my .htaccess file. So I opened it up and dug through it.. and dug through it some more.. I got about ass deep before I figured out I had zero chance of finding and fixing the issue on my own. I mean, let's face it, I'm not the brightest crayon in the box. If I were a crayon I would probably be a moderately bright (here's where the 'dare to dream' scenario comes into play) blue tone. So now I'm sitting here wondering what the fuck I'm going to do and how the hell I'm going to fix it. The way I see it I have two options:

Post the issue on snark, notify them of my stupidity and pray to god someone will pity me enough to help me out (I'm sure they would, they kick ass that way)
Send an e-mail to a small orange and say 'hey, I'm stupid, can ya help me find this little error thing??'

In either case I look like a dunce with a ten foot tall cone-cap on a 5'1 frame. Not the best way to present yourself, but there it is. On top of that I'm almost dead broke. All of our (mom and I) cleaning jobs have cancelled for this month. So I made a grand total of $0.00 and spent.. god knows how much in gas. I'm really starting to get pissed off. I'm used to not having a lot of money and that's cool with me, I'm not the shopping type, what's not cool is the fact that unless you know or screw someone within a company in this town, your ass ain't gettin a job. Period. I really wouldn't care if I was dead broke all the time but with comotized being my outlet for what otherwise might hurt or offend those around me.. I'm starting to worry weather this poor little domain will make it another year. $29.95 (net bill + hosting bill + domain renewal cost) might not be a hefty bill to pay but when you've only got $2.00 in the bank and job hunting isn't working out.. it's the pits. But that's life, so what can ya do about it? comrock84

Watch Out Billy Boy!

I upgraded WordPress yesterday and everything went smooth as butter on a fresh-baked roll but me, myself and my oh-so-stupid 'I' forgot to delete the html index page so no one could see the site for the entire day! *pats herself on the back* I'm so smart.. sometimes it scares me. I upgraded wordpress not too long ago and wandered away to make some coffee.. or something.. whatever it was took me a few weeks to find/accomplish. Anywho, when I came back to my dashboard to check on comments and spam I gasped in horror as I realised all comment related material (minus previous comment counts within older posts) was gone! Not a trace of them could be found. So for weeks I've been digging and sifting trying to find and fix the issue when I logged in tonight and.. voila the comments magically reappeared. So wtf? I'm confused that's for sure, but at least they're back right? I bet more than half of you guys thought I'd kicked the bucket. Hate to burst your bubble but the goofy one is still alive and kicking.. now I just have to upgrade wordpress.. again *smacks forehead* Go figure eh? On a shittier note, it appears that discreet romance has been cheating the google system and in turn cheating the people they buy adspace from. They'll be dropping off my list (no refund for selfish, misleading people.. sorry!) of advertisers in about 2.5 seconds. I'll be damned if I'm going to suffer google prosecution because some idiot gets greedy and tries to cheat the system. Hell, Comotized already suffers enough due to my small brain and lack of time, I don't need any additional help in that area! Another sad (to me at least) note is that my valentine gifts are super late due to lack of funds and time. All of my money has been shelled out into a gas tank for job interviews, applications and general job hunting type things. So to all my pen pals you WILL get some goodies, I haven't forgotten about you, they're just late so bear with me. Life is anything but calm these days.. hell half the time I want to jam the crossed end of a phillips screwdriver through my forehead.. but we'll talk about that later. My head feels like it's about to spin off of my shoulders. I can feel and hear the blood pulsing up there and the pressure is.. ugh. That's the one word that can describe it in a single, simple shot.. ugh. I didn't have my cup of coffee on time, had an argument with my mother, then I spent the day wrangling Cody's two neices who were far from angelic and refused to listen to the voice of reason. It doesn't sound as traumatic as it really is (for me.. in my situation and state of mind). Then of course there's the oh-so-lovely female problems' to deal with on top of it all. Girls.. you know what I mean. Emotional roller coaster 101, I'm signed up, strapped into my seat and well into the second or third loop! I'll be going to Nanny's tonight so at least I have a break to look forward to. This constant caos and heat just isn't my thing. comrock84

Broken Toes and Laughing Babies

I've been meaning to write a new post, but everytime I reach the editor my mind blanks out on me. Kind of like now.. so I doubt you'll get many updates in this post. On the other hand, Cody broke his foot last night. He was walking past Bear (the dog) when she let out a loud squeel as if he'd stepped on her. He jumped up and ended up smashing his foot up and under the lazyboy recliner. Officially shoving two of his toes about half an inch in the wrong direction and breaking the side of his foot along with it. He had to go to the hospital today and have his toes re-broken and re-set. Fun fun! On the funny side, mom brought jaylin over for a little bit today. I set her on my bed and made my christmas penguin 'grumble' (sounds like it's farting) and man did she laugh. I've never seen a baby laugh that hard in my life. She was laughing so hard she had tears in her eyes and her face turned bright red. She finally rolled over and stuck her face in my pillows as if she was saying 'oh my god stop, i can't take it anymore!' I wish I would have had batteries in my camera, I would have taped it. It was so cute and completely hilarious. It sure beats the laughing baby on youtube by a mile! comrock84
