This week we brought you the Top 100 Sports Moments and Top 10 Hottest Female Athletes of the decade. But we all know there ain’t no “I” in team, and it takes a whole squad to get to the glory—word to the cast of Bukkake for Kitty—so we’re back to finish off the week with our Top 10 Teams of the Aughts.

Now we’re not looking for those who won championships but were boring as hell (we see you San Antonio Spurs, we just wish we didn’t have to watch). Instead, we listed the teams that mixed a little excitement with their excellence. We’re sure you have your own list, but you’re reading ours, so without further Freddy Adu…

10. 2004 USC Trojan Football Team
KEY PLAYERS: Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, LenDale White
WHY THEY MADE IT: For much of the decade the Trojans just took away the manhood of other so-called Division I football teams. But in 2004, the dominance got ugly. While defending their split ‘03 national title, the Trojans went on to have an undefeated season, including a 55-19 win over the undefeated Oklahoma Sooners in the BCS Championship game. Then Leinart, Bush and co. took pay cuts to go play in the NFL.

9. 2008 Tampa Bay Rays
KEY PLAYERS: B.J. Upton, Scott Kazmir, Evan Longoria, David Price
WHY THEY MADE IT: The Rays’ ‘08 payroll of $43 million ranked 29th out of 30 teams, but that didn’t stop them from showing the Yankees ($209 million) and Red Sox ($138 million) that buckets of money and ‘roids can’t buy division titles or league championships every year. Of course the Yanks and Sox got back in the playoffs this year, so buckets of money and ‘roids do work more often than not.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

8. 2006 Phoenix Suns
KEY PLAYERS: Steve Nash, Amar’e Stoudemire, Shawn Marion
WHY THEY MADE IT: Two-time MVP point guard Steve Nash came over from Dallas to lead the best run-and-gun offense in the league to nearly 109 points per game that season. Adding a goon like Raja Bell who was willing to take out the league’s golden child while up by 14 in the last quarter of a playoff game didn’t hurt either. They got bounced from the postseason themselves, but simply put, the ‘06 Suns = entertainment.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

7. 2008 Detroit Lions
KEY PLAYERS: Everyone, especially GM Matt Millen
WHY THEY MADE IT: Losing every game in the season isn’t really something to be looked down upon—somebody wins the Super Bowl every year, but winless teams are rarer than…well almost as rare as Lions wins in ‘08. If you ever felt bad about your team getting killed all you had to do was watch the Lions to get a bit of solace—unless you were a Lions fan, in which case: WHY?!?

————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

6. 2001 Miami Hurricanes Football Team
KEY PLAYERS: Clinton Portis, Ed Reed, Andre Johnson, Ken Dorsey, Jeremy Shockey
WHY THEY MADE IT: Doubt the ‘01 ‘Canes were the greatest college football team of all time? Check the stats: They featured three different players who would go on to make NFL Pro Bowl teams—at one position (running backs Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, and Frank Gore). Their average score at home was 51-3. And if not for BCS BS and a historically awful pass interference call, they would’ve won three chips. The Lions prolly could’ve won a game in ‘08 with this squad’s second string.

5. 2008 FC Barcelona
KEY PLAYERS: Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto’o, Thierry Henry
WHY THEY MADE IT: Barça completed the first Treble in Spanish league football history by winning the La Liga Cup, Spanish Cup, and UEFA Champions League Cup. You can call it the Treble or “making-every-other-football-club-your-personal-whipping-boys.”

4. 2007 New England Patriots
KEY PLAYERS: Tom Brady, Randy Moss
WHY THEY MADE IT: Spying on the other team and running up scores to go 16-0? Yeah, sounds like the 2007 Patriots to us. Too bad a late Super Bowl pass from Eli Manning to an unknown wide receiver had to end it all. Karma is a mother.

3. 2003-04 Arsenal “The Invincibles”
KEY PLAYERS: Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Dennis Bergkamp
WHY THEY MADE IT: It’s not just that the Gunners became the first top-division English club in 115 years to go unbeaten for an entire league season—it’s the brilliant attacking style in which they accomplished the feat. For those that insist soccer is boring, have a look at that year’s <a href:"http://www.amazon.com/Arsenal-Season-Review-2003-2004/dp/B0002UUJAY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1257542128&sr=8-1">highlights DVD. “The Invincibles” were one of the most entertaining teams to watch in any sport.

Each day Complex scours the music blogs for 5 fresh songs that you should listen to in our 5 O’Clock Shuffle post. Instead of going crazy trying to keep up with your RSS feeds every day, just head over to Complex.com to stay up-to-date on important leaks and releases.

Like we always do at this time! It’s 5:00, so that means it’s time for us to hit you with the five songs you should be bumpin’ today. There’s a new Lloyd track featuring the most consistent rapper in the game, Bun B; the prince of the trap, Pill, comes through with another leak off his upcoming mixtape; Luda links up with Jennifer Hudson for some Grammy bait; we got one of the hottest tracks off 50’s new album; and, finally, we hip you to some dope international club music. Sounds like just the right mix of tunes to carry you into the weekend. Hit the jump to start listening. We’ll see y’all on Monday…

SONG: “Like Me”
ARTIST: Lloyd f/ Bun B.
DOWNLOAD: [LINK]
• As he’s shooting the video for Young Money’s next single, “Bed Rock,” Young Lloyd drops this smooth and breezy ditty featuring the other king of the south, Bun B. This guy’s been droppin’ some heat lately, now that he’s a free agent. Someone needs to sign this dude. We’re lookin’ at you, Weezy.

SONG: “Hear My Cry”
ARTIST: Ludacris f/ Jennifer Hudson
DOWNLOAD: [LINK]
• Luda’s back! Last week we heard “Get Low,” which had us happy Luda was returning back to his old, jovial self. But then he drops this dope introspective collabo with Jennifer Hudson and we’re reminded this guy is once again hunting for Grammys. At least it’s much better than “Runaway Love.”

SONG: “Afro-Sheen”
ARTIST: Pill
DOWNLOAD: [LINK]
• If you haven’t noticed, we ride with Pill around here (interview coming soon!). The latest Atlanta sensation leaks another gem off his upcoming 4075: The Refill mixtape. This time he hijacks Kanye’s “Diamonds” beat and goes nuts.

SONG: “Rollerskate”
ARTIST: Matias Aguayo
DOWNLOAD: [LINK]
• Electronica singer/producer Matias Aguayo describes his music as “for the city and for the night,” so you can understand why we’re inclined to like him. He recently (as in last week) dropped his latest (and best) album to date (Ay, Ay, Ay). Here’s one of the album’s standout tracks. Hit the link to download and read an interview he did with the Fader fam.

SONG: “Stretch”
ARTIST: 50 Cent
DOWNLOAD:[LINK]
• If you didn’t know, 50’s upcoming album Before I Self Destruct leaked. However, for some reason, Curtis doesn’t seem to be that upset about it. Maybe because this album shits on Curtis? Who knows. All we know is this track goes hard. Head on over to Nah Right to peep the song’s video, which dropped today.

And while warm weather is a thing of the past for most, today’s Buy It Now—a special Oakley collabo with Commonwealth as part of the VA store’s ‘Endless Summer ‘09 Collection’—will help keep the spirit of the sun alive. Featuring glare-blocking red iridium lenses and stamped with the “C’MON” logos on the inside of the frames, they’re a pair that won’t go out of style any time soon.
How do feel about the courier's essential accessory? Vote HUMP or DUMP now!

Usually associated with mailmen and crazy bike messengers, the messenger bag has crossed over from parcel delivery to becoming a popular alternative to the backpack. And why not—messenger bags (also called courier bags) offer the same toting ability as a backpack while offering easier access to your stuff while you’re on the go. Really, who wants to swing a heavy backpack around your shoulders every time you have to take out a book or magazine on the train? So the function is there, but what about the form? Should these be HUMPed or do they need to be DUMPed like last weeks leftover’s? Vote below.

What do Grey’s Anatomy, Lincoln Heights, and Yes, Dear all have in common—we mean, besides being shows we’ve never watched by choice. Jocko Sims, that’s what. Though the up-and-coming actor’s resumé is in its early stages, his role as chauffeur Anthony Adams on the Starz series Crash is finally starting to earn him some much-deserved shine.

With the recent release of his song “Head Up” on iTunes and the approaching finale of Crash (Fridays, 10 p.m.), we decided it was time to sit down with Jocko and ask him some of our favorite questions. His name may evoke images of athletic supporters (pause) and creepy computer characters, but give the man a chance—he’s got a lot to say. Read on for Jocko’s take on Latin women, cowboy outfits, and good girlfriends…

#1: WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER ONE DEAL-BREAKER FOR A POTENTIAL GIRLFRIEND?

Jocko says: Mistrust. And it goes both ways…if you’re untrustworthy, I don’t want anything to do with you as a girlfriend. Moreover, if we are dating, and you don’t trust me, and I’ve given you no reason to not trust me—I somehow find that even more unattractive. I dated a girl once who questioned me all the time about every move I made, and every word I spoke, so much that I began to question myself. I was often left confused, and angry, and all for nothing. I’ll never do that again!

#2: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE SNEAKER OF ALL TIME?

Jocko says: I had some Coach-brand Chucks a few years ago that I received as a gift. I’ve never gotten so much attention from women over a pair of shoes before or since. Those have to have been my favorite of all time.

#3: WHEN’S THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?

Jocko says: This is a downer…and I mean a BIG one. I lost my grandmother in an car accident this past Christmas to a suspect who was running from police on the wrong side of the freeway and crashed into my family head on. I think about her all the time and I miss her. I can’t understand why people do such stupid shit (the suspect also died, along with my aunt; my uncle, as of today, cannot walk or talk). The shock of how my grandmother left hurts me. When I think about it, I often shed tears. I’m pretty sure the last time I cried I was thinking about her.

#4: IF YOU HAD A WEEK HOLIDAY, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Jocko says: I would definitely spend it somewhere in a Latin country. Puerto Rico, Brazil, Domincan Republic. I love the cultures and the women are blindingly beautiful.

#5: WHAT HAS TO BE IN YOUR FRIDGE AT ALL TIMES?

Jocko says: How about in my pantry? I have to have Frosted Flakes, and/or Cap’n Crunch.

#6: WHAT’S THE WORST WAY YOU’VE BROKEN UP WITH SOMEONE?

Jocko says: Yikes. My ex-girlfriend got into an acting school in London while I was at college. When I realized that I wanted to “explore” other options while she was gone, I respectfully ended the relationship before I did anything, which was good. The bad thing is that I ended it over the phone!

#7: WHAT’S THE MOST EMBARRASSING PIECE OF CLOTHING YOU’VE EVER WORN?

Jocko says: For a job? Some child-like pajamas for a scene in a movie…and it wasn’t a comedy. By choice? A tight suede cowboy outfit to a beach party. Although it was in Texas, it surely was not the right environment to choose to be creative. Here we are 10 years later, and my boys still have not let me hear the end of it.

The Target edition comes with a bonus DVD of Shaun White’s top secret training facility in Silverton Coloroado, a little million dollar something something that Red Bull put together so he could win the Olympics. The game is awesome (works with the Wii Fit), and the DVD is a great way to entertain yourself while you wait for the first snow. Hello Sunday! We’ve focused in on facial features in recent Fetish Fridays, and this week we’re going in on bushy eyebrows. After all, with everyone being eco-friendly these days, we’ve become bigger fans of the au naturale look—as long as we’re not talking about armpits. Plus, in this economy, we don’t expect our females to keep up with weekly grooming appointments. Save that cash for groceries, ma.

Strong eyebrows draw attention to the eyes and give off a sexy confidence that we love in women, and even some of Hollywood’s hottest are doing without the pesky waxing process. Don’t believe us? Check out who made the roster of our favorite bushy-browed girls…
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you’ve noticed that the Jordan fusions/hybrids/mash-ups are getting a lot better. Tomorrow, JB drops two new colorways (hit the jump for the other one) of the Jordan Sixty Plus, a sneaker that pieces together the five sneakers that Michael wore in games when he scored more than 60 points. Yup, although it looks like the Jordan V, cues from the Jordan I, II and VII are also present. Check for the sneakers to hit general release stores tomorrow morning, and also be sure to read our interview with Justin Taylor, the man responsible for designing the sneaker.

This fan-made trailer is the closest we'll get to a Magneto movie for a long time.

Okay, we’re gonna keep it 100 from the jump: this isn’t an official trailer. X-Men Origins: Magneto has been in development hell for the past couple years and was pretty much confirmed as a dead project last month when producer Lauren Donner said it was “at the back of the queue” of the multiple X-Men film projects in the works. That’s too bad, because this fan-made trailer has us kind of hyped at the prospect of a Magneto flick. Ian McKellen always killed the role and Magneto is a dark, generally interesting character. Hopefully the project materializes at some point, even if it’s years down the line. Until then, we leave you with this well-done montage of footage from previous X-Men movies. Enjoy.

STORE: RSVP Gallery

CITY: Chicago, IL

SINCE: 2009

OWNED BY: Don C, Marc Moran and Virgil Abloh

PRICES: $$$$$ (out of 5)

WHY WE COSIGN: After seeing what a clothing line designed by Kanye would look like, didn’t you wonder how a retail space would look with Mr. West at the managerial helm? We envision something akin to a brick and mortar version of his blog: minimalist design, a mix of high fashion and street wear collections selectively placed around pieces of exclusive art. Coincidentally, that’s exactly what his partner Don C’s boutique, RSVP is. We guess great minds think alike.

Opened this past August with Marc Moran, RSVP was devised to be much more than a retail space, ’cause, really, who the hell needs another cool guy shop? Don and Marc wanted to create a space that carried the rarified air of an art gallery, but still gave off the “warm, welcoming feel of an intimate retail boutique.” Which means while you shop, you’ll be surrounded by art from people like Mark Newson, Stephen Sprouse, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Kaws, and NoPattern. But that doesn’t mean there’s a lack of emphasis on stocking dope threads. RSVP carries one of the most unique and eclectic mix of brands out of any shop we can think of. What other shop do you know of can supply you with Chanel and Louis Vuitton, as well as Commes Des Garçons, Nike and G-Shock? With a super exclusive stocklist and an atmosphere to match, you would be doing yourself a disservice by not stopping by next time your in the Chi, even if it is just to look.

Read on for our interview with Marc Moran, pics of the store, and the address/web site…

BRANDS CARRIED: A Bathing Ape, Ambush, Chanel, Dee & Ricky, Drapes Earrings, G-Shock, Head Porter, Kaikai Kiki, Kdia, Nike, Original Fake, RSVP Label, Silly Thing, Super, Vane NYC, PLAY by Commes Des Garçons, Rizzoli, Incase, Boxed Water, Louis Vuitton, and Levi Strauss & Co.

Complex: What is the aesthetic you’re striving for at RSVP?
Marc Moran: We want to create an atmosphere similar to an art gallery that strongly emphasizes pop art, design, and luxury, while at the same time evoking the warm, welcoming feel of an intimate retail boutique.

Complex: Describe your favorite piece in stock right now.
Marc Moran: Tough to say, but probably the Kanye West x Bapesta sneakers because their style is a great reflection of our store aesthetic. BAPE is a brand that’s very pop art-influenced and Kanye designed the sneakers using the same colorway Louis Vuitton uses in their leather goods, so that adds to their luxury appeal. They were also the first sneakers Kanye designed, so that’s another cool feature.

Complex: Who are your style icons?
Marc Moran: Kanye West, for being able to mix high fashion and street fashion together so effortlessly. Ralph Lauren for defining true Americana fashion and Nigo for translating pop art into fashion.

Complex: What are your retail plans for the future?
Marc Moran: We just opened at the end of August, so right now our future plans are really just to continue to grow and develop our brand. We established this unique identity of being a pop art gallery/luxury goods boutique because our objective has always been to put people on to something new. We just want to excel in carrying hard-to-find, well designed, all around dope merchandise.

Complex: Any anticipated collaborations?
Marc Moran: We just launched a project we’re doing with Lupe Fiasco called “Red Box,” what we call a “curation” that will feature pieces from his various collaborative fashion and design projects. All of the items are displayed in Lupe’s giant red Goyard trunk—(hence the name Red Box). It’s an exclusive project, so the items can be found and purchased only at RSVP. We’re also working with the artist So-me (known for his work with Justice and Kanye’s Goodlife video—Ed. Note: And Complex’s Keri Hilson cover! ), who will be designing logos for us to produce on various products—tees, broaches, etc.

His on the pitch star power may be waning, but David Beckham is still an icon. As famous as he is for his soccer talent, Beckham is known equally as a style leader—he’s one of those guys that can throw on whatever the hell he wants and make it look fly. Like the Wrangler cowboy-looking outfit he rocked at a recent LA Lakers game. We know denim-on-denim may not always work, but Becks pulled it off better than most. Besides giving you the formula on how to rock the Canadian tuxedo the right way, we also broke down DB’s LA Galaxy kit, just in case you MLS is your thing. Read on to see how you can rock it like Beckham…

Our resident politics expert looks back at the RNC chair's short but impressive history of fail.

Visit John Brown’s new website and check back each Thursday for a new “Politickin With John Brown” post.

Michael Steele has a tough job. Clearly exploited by Republicans for his assumed appeal to a diverse populace, the RNC Chairman is consistently mocked by both sides of the aisle. With a long history of GOP service, the son of a military man is now on the front lines of the GOP’s image makeover. And it’s ugly out there. His awkward attempt to co-opt “hip-hop slang”—such as referring to Obama’s stimulus plan as “bling bling“—has been embarrassing, if not offensive.

But that’s not to say he lacks any supporters. Even Mike Tyson, who was once married to Steele’s sister, considers him a long-time friend and once offered to literally fight on his behalf. And with some GOP victories in Tuesday’s election—most notably, governorships in Virginia and New Jersey—Steele was feeling himself. Now with chatter of possibly running against Obama in 2012, it’s important to get up to speed with Steele’s most recent nail-on-the-chalkboard moments…

Expresses His Admiration For Hip-Hop
• After the outpouring of support for Obama from the hip-hop community, the RNC just wanted to be down. Steele, who has been an active Republican since 1975, simultaneously tries to big up the culture for breaking down stereotypes while at the same time assuming that every black rapper is from the PJs. Chuck D’s response: don’t believe the hype.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Apologizes To Rush Limbaugh
• As Steele was fighting for respect from Chuck D and D.L. “Can’t We All Just Get Along” Hughley, he threw some shots at Rush “The Liability” Limbaugh. After the right-wing power elite reminded Steele that he was merely a puppet, reduced to micro-managed talking points, he issued a humiliating apology. Although his recanting was indeed embarrassing, this mockery from the Morning Joe staff is its own cause for some vomit-a-little-in-my-mouth action. Oh, now you’re a “moderate,” Scarborough?

Know how to make your favorite things better? Combine the two of them. Earlier this week we dropped our Top 100 Sports Moments of the decade list, and thought, Hmmm, what could we possibly add to improve upon that? How about we take our Top 100 Sports Moments x Top 100 Hottest Girls of the decade to make our a list of our top female athletes from the 2000s? So here it is, our sweat-drenched list of the hotties who sweat it out on the field of play. Game on…

With a show popping off tonight in Brooklyn, we get to know the ex-Be Your Own Pet singer.

According to an entry in Jemina Pearl’s blog “Puke Till You Punk“, the 22-year old post-punk singer’s life long dream has already been realized: She’s got to work with Iggy Pop, the lead singer of The Stooges (the band she admittedly is obsessed with), on “I Hate People”, the lead single off her new album Break it Up. Truthfully, it’s not just the music that makers her interesting, as it turns out, Jemina loves to play Super Nintedo, is a vintage horror flick aficionado and a huge fan of different fast food chains. Video games, scary movies, fast food… Doesn’t it almost sound like a typcial day in Complex’s blogosphere?

On that note, we had Pearl come through our offices for a meet and great, and we must say she’s even cooler in person. Tonight, Pearl is performing at Bowery Ballroom, and at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on November 25th. We’ve heard her live shows are awesome, but if you plan on going, make sure you don’t act up, because she’ll beat the shit out of you. No, really.

Interview by Nak Im

#1: WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE DEAL-BREAKER FOR A POTENTIAL BOYFRIEND?

Jemina Pearl says: I feel like it’s maybe cliche but bad taste in music. Or if he is in a band and his band is really bad, then it’s just not gonna happen. Because it always causes issues. I’ve dated people where they’re were in a band before, and they’re like “what did you think of the show?” I’m not gonna lie, like “it was awesome!” So then they’d get all pissed off. If I can’t get down with the music, it’s not gonna work out at all.

#2: WHAT TYPE OF FOOTWEAR WOULD COMPLETELY MAKE YOU DISMISS A MAN AS A POTENTIAL HOOK-UP?

Jemina Pearl says: What are those things? Crocs? Those are like Birkenstocks.

#3: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RAP ALBUM?

Jemina Pearl says: That’s hard. The first rap album I ever bought was Paul’s Boutique by the Beastie Boys. So I would say that that has a pretty special place in my heart.

#4: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD OR HANGOVER REMEDY?

Jemina Pearl says: I would say eating something really greasy. Either a grilled cheese sandwich or a slice of pizza. Something really greasy helps my stomach feel better. Something with a lot of bread, a lot of carbs and not so many flavors going on. And then a Gatorade and some Extra Strength Tylenol.

#5: WHAT’S THE MOST EFFECTIVE APHRODISIAC FOR YOU?

Jemina Pearl says: That’s hard. Maybe Patti Smith back in the day. Not so much because I think she was super hot, but I just want to hang out with her. I don’t know, it’s hard for me to think who is super hot. Making out with girls is like ehh…

BONUS QUESTIONS:

Complex: You blog about Super Nintendo a lot.

Jemina: Oh, yeah. I love Super Nintendo.

Complex: You’ve heard of Xbox 360? Playstation 3?

Jemina: [Laughs.] I have a Playstation 2 as well. I really want to get a Playstation 3. Boys used to call me in high school to come beat Grand Theft Auto levels for them because I was better at it than they were. But they’re just so fucking expensive. And every game is so pricey.

Complex: You also seem to be obsessed with horror movies. How did you get into them? Why?

Jemina: Because they are amazing. I used to be terrified of Chucky, Jason, and Freddie Krueger when I was a little kid. So I think once I got to be a little older, I just really wanted to watch some, because I’ve always been scared of them but never actually saw them. My mom wouldn’t let me, so I think it just started from there. My mom is actually really into horror movies, so I kinda have her to thank for that. But what’s better than someone getting their head chopped off when they don’t have a shirt on?

Complex: What’s the story with your posts on fast food?

Jemina: When we were first doing the blog, I was driving down up and down Northampton to do demos—that’s where Thurston (Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth) lives. [That was] sort of an excuse to go to Burger King or Taco Bell. Doing that in the city kind of makes you feel like an asshole. There is a Taco Bell that just opened up nearby where I live, and I was sort of like “Whoo! I should go eat there!” Then I immediately felt guilty, but I’m about to leave for tour so I’ll probably go back very quickly about being all about fast food.

Complex: What’s your fast food of choice?

Jemina: Definitely Taco Bell. Just because it feels so dirty and awesome. [Laughs.]
