Ao  dizer que um comportamento é governado ou controlado1 por regras, estamos dizendo que existe um estímulo  discriminativo verbal do tipo regra2 que controla o comportamento de um ouvinte (Baum, 2006/2008). Catania  (1998/1999) definiu o comportamento governado por regras como a tendência das  pessoas a seguirem instruções3 umas das outras.

Há algum tempo, mais precisamente desde 2003, tem sido debatido um projeto de lei que busca estabelecer a obrigatoriedade da veiculação de desenhos animados nacionais nas emissoras de TV abertas e fechadas. Esse projeto, criado pelo deputado Vicentinho (PT-SP), propõe uma cota gradativa, que vai desde 10% no primeiro ano e chega a 50% dos desenhos animados veiculados após cinco

Dois acontecimentos cotidianos recentes me fizeram refletir sobre um assunto
aparentemente “resolvido”. Numa conversa com um jovem publicitário, em que o
mesmo contava sobre suas impressões a respeito de sua psicoterapia pessoal,
interveio uma professora universitária de outra área, parecendo um tanto

Não é difícil encontrarmos em fóruns de redes sociais, Analistas do Comportamento se queixando sobre a dificuldade de inserção da abordagem alguns contextos. Antes de começar este texto, devo fazer uma  ressalva. Diversos teóricos tem questionado o uso do termo Regra, dentre os  quais destaco Schlinger e Blakely (1987, 1993) e Hayes (1987). Catania e  Shimoff (1998) deixaram de utilizá-lo, adotando em seu lugar, a expressão comportamento  governado verbalmente. A publicação não abordará estes pontos. Skinner já dizia que uma das principais tarefas do
terapeuta é representar uma audiência não
punitiva para seu cliente.


A relação terapêutica tem recebido crescente atenção dos profissionais de diversas abordagens nos últimos anos (Assunção e Vandenberghe, 2010).  Não podia ser diferente entre os Analistas do Comportamento. Guilhardi (citado por Prado e Meyer, 2004) afirma que ela se
