Want to know what file Thumbs.db does? Want to get rid of them permanently?

Small Disclaimer to my loyal readers...

First off, Before assuming that you're going to find a solution to permanently remove all of these files from your computer and make them stop, you need to know that my instructions will only work if you use Windows XP. If you use a different version of Windows, You'll need to look below this article for a link that has instructions for the version of Windows that may be using. If you do not see one, try using the Search Feature in the top left of this website then.

What is the purpose of Thumbs.db?
Question: What does Outlook/Vista Windows E-Mail Error Code 0x800CCC67 Mean? Steps listed to fix this error on this page!

Easily Troubleshoot & Resolve 'Outlook E-mail Client' Error Code 0x800CCC67!

The problem:

You're probably here because when you configured your email client, your getting a strange error message with a error code similar to: 0x800CCC67, right? This is a pretty common Outlook/Windows Vista Mail error code caused by a handful of reasons. Below is the exact error message that's usually displayed:

SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC67

Below are a number of methods and steps you can take to resolve the issue. This error basically means that an outbound SMTP connection couldn't be established. This could mean you have a incorrect setting, your ISP made recent changes without notifying you about it, or the most common being it's being blocked at the software level with Firewall, and Anti Virus software. For the quickest results in resolving the problem, it's best to follow each step from the top down. I'll write ways of resolving this issue from this most common first.

Reader Warning: This article might seem overwhelming with too much extra or unnecessary details. My articles are geared towards users who have hardly any kind of Computer Knowledge or Experience. If you're an experienced Computer User, I apologize in advance for the amount of extra details given in my tutorial below.
Guide: Step by step instructions on how to create Computer Screen Shots on your Computer using Windows Vista.

Methods of easily creating Screen Shots using Windows Vista

What is a Screen Shot?

A screen shot is merely a image that shows the picture of whatever is showing on your Computer Monitor at the time the Screen Shot was taken. Screen shots might be used when giving presentations, or showing someone such as Technical Support the errors or problems you might be having with your Computer. There are so many other uses for Screen Shots as you can imagine! To some people, creating these Screen Shots is really a lot easier than it seems. If you're using the Windows Vista Operating System, then you can follow the simple directions below to learn how to quickly create Screen Shots all on your own.

There are many programs out there that offer to assist you in creating Screen Shots. Most of these programs are just designed to take peoples money who may not be aware of just how easy it is to create them. Stay away from these types of programs and follow the simple instructions below:

Instructions:

Step 1.) Click on your Windows Vista [Start Menu] in the lower left hand corner of your screen. In the [Search] box in this menu, type in the following text: Snipping Tool Then, click on [OK] or just hit the [Enter] key on your keyboard to bring up the Snipping Tool. The Snipping Tool utility program should now be open on you're computer.

Step 2.) (Optional Step) We can make the 'Snipping Tool' program more easily accessible for future use by placing a shortcut into your 'Quick Launch' tool bar. To do this, click on the [Options] tab that you see in the tiny Snipping Tool box that's open. Once the options are displayed, you'll then see a check box that says something along the lines of "Display icon in the Quick Launch Toolbar". Go ahead and enable to click on the check box next to this option if you would like the Snipping Tool to show up in your Quick Launch toolbar for now on.

Instructions:

3.) Below where you see "List Font's", you will navigate to the folder where you downloaded and/or extracted your new fonts too. Once you have located this folder, you will see a button that says something like "Select All Fonts". Go ahead and click that button and all Font's should be highlighted in the list box now.

Before beginning the installation, I'm going to assume the following from you:

You may already have a older version of Windows, or a different Operating System on your computer.

You do not have any important data or information on your hard drive. In the installation, everything will be wiped off the drive. Make sure that all of your important data has been backed up and put on to a disk or other removable media of some sorts.

Windows 7 Displays error when installing .MSI installation files. How you can prevent installations from crashing on Windows 7!

Are you having trouble installing with ".MSI" installer package files on Windows 7?

This is something that I came across not too long ago. I don't know if this problem will only occur in the Beta versions or not, but I'll explain what happens and two known methods of resolving the problem in Windows 7. I do know for a fact that this bug or error is present in Windows 7 Build 7000 for sure.

Fix method #1 for resolving the .MSI Installer Package Bug:

1.) Go to your [Start] menu.
2.) Click your mouse cursor into the [Search] bar.
3.) Type in: gpedit.msc
4.) When the new Window appears, look on the left pane for the folder called [Administrative Templates] and double click it.
5.) Then double click on [Internet Communication Management].
6.) Then double click on [Internet Communication Settings].
7.) Now you will want to double click on the File/Setting named (Turn Off - Windows Customer Experience Program)
8.) A new box should appear after double clicking. Choose the radio button (Enable) and then click (OK) at the bottom of this window.
9.) The issue should now be resolved. There is no need to reboot the computer for the fix/solution to take effect.

Fix method #2 for resolving the .MSI Installer Package Bug:

1.) Go to your [Start] menu.
2.) Click your mouse cursor into the [Search] bar.
3.) Type in: regedit
4.) Hit (Enter) on your keyboard, or click Search/OK.
5.) Once the Registry Editor opens, you'll want to navigate to the following ->

Double click on [HKLM] folder in the left pane.

Then double click on folder [Software].

Then double click on folder [Microsoft].

Then double click on folder [SQMClient].

Then double click on folder [Windows].

Then double click on folder [DisabledSessionsHKLM].
