Facebook for Android App Concept, Created by Hasan Kaymak

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.Hasan Kaymak, the guy behind the HTC Concepts idea created a Facebook for Android app design, that’s fresh an innovative. We have some shots of the fresh UI pictured below and as usual feedback is welcome. The interface is very clean and its styling reminds me a bit of the Android 4.0 ICS look.

The social stream is basically the same, but the icons at the top, those that show notifications are a bit different. You also get voice control in the app and the main menu is totally different from everything you know till now. There are some tiles involved, much like in Metro UI and on the right side we have the main options of the account (Messages, Notifications, Friend Requests and Settings). This placement on the right reminds me very much of Facebook for PS Vita app and I recommend that the designer checks that out for comparison sake.

Frankly speaking, the Facebook app for the PlayStation Vita is a disappointment, but this app concept seems pretty comfortable to use. Hasan also shows us a brand new widget for this application, obviously on a HTC phone. The focus seems to be Facebook chatting here, with large speech bubbles and minimalistic UI. What do you think about this Facebook app design?

Acer Phone Concept Looks Beautiful, Created by Dan Hsu

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.Straight from Taiwan comes Dan Hsus’s Acer concept phone, a model with two chins: one in the upper part and one in the lower part. This is an Android 4.0 smartphone, that uses the lower chin to show normal stuff on the screen, like icons and apps and the superior one to show the time.

The device is very thin, maybe 7mm in thickness and it has a discretely integrated camera at the back. I can’t seem to spot the LED flash, but I’m sure it’s there. This Acer concept is pictured in white, pink and blue. To me this looks like a 4.3 inch smartphone, that I suppose has the Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU inside and a 720p resolution (my speculations). There’s also a lower end device, with a 5 megapixel camera, shown as the last picture below. This is also an Android model, with 4 capacitive buttons and a smaller screen, maybe 4 inches.

The interface seems customized, actually so much that I’m starting to doubt it’s even Android. The case of the lower end handset looks very cool, with those bright blue stripes at the back and front. While the high end Acer concept phone reminds me of the Fujitsu phones I’ve seen at MWC 2012, the lower end one makes me think of Alcatel for some reason. What do you think?

Nokia Windows 8 Tablet Tiviti 9210 Runs on Snapdragon S4 CPU, Super IPS+ Display

Meet the Nokia Tiviti 9210, a Windows 8 slate with some very appealing specifications. Andy Weir of Neowin imagined this device and the result were the pictures below. This slate runs Windows 8 RT on top of a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor at 1.5 GHz.

This is a 10.1 inch tablet with a Super IPS+ LCD ClearBlack display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass 2 protection. It weighs 575 grams and features 1GB of SDRAM, 32/64GB of storage, a 7700 mAh battery with 12 hours of functioning time and an 8 megapixel camera at the back. The camera has a 2.2 aperture, 28mm focal length and supports full HD video capture at 30 fps with stereo audio capture. The Nokia Windows 8 tablet also has a 2MP front camera, accelerometer, Glonass, AGPS, gyroscope and proximity sensor.

On the connectivity side, it offers WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, DLNA, microUSB and a 3.5mm audio jack. There’s even pricing envisioned here, so for example you’ll pay $499 for the 32 GB WiFi + 4G version. The 64GB one will cost $629 and these are pretty reasonable price tags. Also know that the product measures 8.8mm in thickness, so only a bit thicker than the Transformer Prime. Would you buy this tablet instead of the iPad 3?

Below you can see a message from the designer and we welcome your comments on this article and on Facebook regarding the concept he’s preparing.

The design that will result will be based on your comments and the final product will come pretty soon, since Bob Freking is known for his speed in creating new works. I guess that now’s my turn to suggest the maker and the features of the new Nexus Phone. Well, I think that ASUS should be given a shot and maybe integrate this Nexus smartphone with a Nexus tablet, like the PadFone. Anyway, I imagine that the handset will have a 4.55 inch diagonal, that seems ideal nowadays, 1080p resolution, a 12 megapixel camera, LTE and 64 GB of storage.

It will also have microSD, NFC, microSIM, a 2.500 mAh battery if possible and a Snapdragon S4 CPU or maybe even the Snapdragon S5 one. As far as design goes, I’d like to see a phone version of the Transformer Prime tablet, so a metal back, very thin device, crisp IPS+ screen and very cool sloped edges. So, now what are your ideas?

iPhone 5 Dual Core Edge to Edge Design Looks Hot

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.And here’s yet another iPhone 5 design, this one based on the long time rumored edge to edge display. This time the screen feels as if it’s actually a piece of glass fit between two metal parts, because of the lack of side bezel. Also, looking at the phone from its profile reveals a sort of a mini display, as shown here. The concept was created by Sira Design.

This iPhone 5 concept features a dual core Apple A6 processor, a 9 megapixel iSight camera and iOS 6. iCloud is also in the mix and New Siri as well. The screen diagonal is 4 inches and we’ve got a bunch of new icons to work with. What’s interesting is that in the screen diagonal area it says “4.0 + 0.5″. Is that 0.5 actually the side screen I was talking about or is this a 4.5 inch iPhone? Anyway I love this design and it’s so simple and lacks any unnecessary complications.

Hopefully with so much glass used on it, there’s still room for a decent battery. I remind you that the iPhone 5 is rumored to launch this fall and we could see its OS, iOS 6.0 being previewed next month at WWDC 2012. Excited about that? On the Sira Design page it actually says that I was right and the sides of the device are actually smaller screens, so the device is even cooler!

iPhone 5 Design Created by [FUSE]Chicken Has Quad Speakers

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.We’ve seen our share of iPhone 5 concepts, with some recent models being really stunning, but here’s a fresh one, created by [FUSE]Chicken. This iPhone 5 vision involves an elongated Home button and a rectangular design, plus a 4 inch display, a widescreen one actually.

This iPhone 5 measures 7mm in thickness and has a 10 megapixel iSight camera at the back, plus a 5MP one at the front. The interesting aspect here is the inclusion of quad speakers for stereo in landscape and portrait. The headphone jack was also placed in a central position. I like the metallic edges of this model, but I’m not such a big fan of the volume buttons, that look like those on a toy phone, to be honest. The way the metal area around the device is slightly sloped makes it look like a precious item, a very nice feat.

On a side note, the metallic wire thing that props up the phone in some pictures is also very interesting and elegant. An iPhone like this would be a luxury item, that’s for sure, but will it appeal to real Apple fans? What do you say?

Glove One Prototype Wearable Phone Looks Like Iron Man’s Glove

Bryan Cera envisions a phone that’s actually a glove that fits on the user’s hand. Known as Glove One, this device was made as a prototype of a wearable communication gadget.

It’s a fragile but good-looking piece of technology and from what I can see, the digits and keys are placed on each of the fingers of the glove. Also it appears that the little finger and thumb are the speaker and microphone, so you’ll perform that natural gesture of holding those fingers next to your mouth and ear. In the source link below you can see Bryan Cera’s prototype in action in a video, where he inserts a SIM card inside, puts the glove on his hand and actually uses it to make a call.

The cool hand-shape logo on top will glow in a cool way when using the device. With stuff such as the Google Project Glass and the Glove One happening right now, are we already into that sci-fi future that movies predicted? Would you use such a wearable phone?

He teased you all a couple of days ago and now it’s time to unveil… the Samsung Galaxy Aurora. The project is not done, since he plans to mix Android 5.0 in this piece of work and some modular stuff.

A follow-up project is also coming. As far as the Samsung Galaxy Aurora is concerned sees when you’re resting your eyes and goes into auto sleep mode. It also comes with a reliable assistant, the S Voice function that works beautifully. The handset will also “know” you’re at the movies and silence itself automatically. Its screen is heat resistant and the new Galaxy model packs a rotating 12 megapixel camera, available for all the angles of stunning photos you can imagine.

There’s also a holographic 3D function, that’s showcased in the last image below and it looks like a real battery drainer this one. Galaxy Aurora knows your touch by the heat you emanate and finally here are some more features to feast on: quad core 2 GHz processor, wireless router chip build in, 4G connectivity, 35 mAh rechargeable battery (does he mean 3500 mAh?) with 20-22 hours of talk time. To me this model looks like a combo between the Nokia N9 and a more rectangular Samsung Galaxy Nexus, if you want. What do you say?

Nokia Prodigy is a Flagship Phone, Created Through Research

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.Bob Freking did some research before creating the Nokia Prodigy concept phone and came up with an interesting idea for a Windows Phone 8 device. Nokia Prodigy runs this OS and offers 16 to 64 GB of storage and 1GB of RAM, all of them borrowed from the Nokia N9.

At the back we have a 41 megapixel PureView camera, perhaps even a smaller sensor than on the first PureView phone. Nokia Prodigy does 1080p video capture, a ClearBlack HD display with AMOLED technology and inside there’s a 1.85 GHz Nova A9540 processor, a dual core one actually. The GPU is a PowerVR SGX 544 and other specs include NFC, a front facing camera, a microSD card slot and the latest in Windows Phone apps. Skype is also integrated into the experience and available through the front camera.

I say that this project is doable and that around this fall or winter we’ll see something like this in the stores. I’m really curios what CPU Nokia will choose and how they will be able to evolve their displays to a modern level. Also, the PureView camera would make a fine addition to a Windows Phone 8 model.

Crescent Kronos is a 1080p Display Phone With 24MP Camera

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.Jonathan De Jesus has created a couple of very interesting phone designs and now he’s back with the Crescent Kronos phone, that shows us the brand new logo of the Crescent Croissant OS. Crescent Kronos is a very powerful phone, with a 2GHz quad core processor and 1080p HD display.

The handset offers voice command, 100GB of storage and runs on the Crescent Croissant OS. It’s got a wireless charging dock, the latest WiFi and Bluetooth technology and can be used as a modem. Crescent Kronos measures 4.7 inches in width and has a 4.4 inch display. This is a 7mm thick smartphone with Gorilla Glass protection and optional 3D display. Jonathan outfitted his concept phone with a carbon fiber case and an app that lets you point the camera to any place or thing and tells you its name.

The back of the phone is also a display that allows you to change the general background of the device. Croissant OS is centered around voice command, so even the phone call feature and texting will be controlled in that way. Checking the calendar too! I consider this to be a very sci-fi phone, especially because it’s thin and it has a special form factor, with that triangle area at the bottom. Do you like it?
