Congratulations to Iain Cairns! His story Bringer of War is the Concept Sci-fi 2009 short story competition winner.

Iain receives £100 plus some signed goodies from sci-fi author Sean Williams. The winning entry, along with the other short-listed entries will be published in a special edition of the Concept Sci-fi ezine (out later this month).

Congratulations once again to Iain!

Well, the stories have been in for a while and I've been busy reading! After a lot of thinking (and re-reading), I've decided on three entries for the shortlist. Here are the titles and authors:

Bringer of War by Iain Cairns
Volume Control by Matthew Fazakerley
Swan Song by Grahan Storrs

Now it's over to Sean Williams to have a read and decide the winner. The winner will be announced by 31st July at the latest. Well done to those who made the cut.
