Dana not only illustrates how stunning the contrast between Buttercup and Mushroom is, but also a totally new way to use the Fresh Cut Florals Edition 3 Dies. So cool and unique!

Ballet Slipper | Cranberry

Erica chose to highlight Ballet Slipper and Cranberry. For Ballet Slipper, she used the delicate pink on the equally delicate Lace Leaf Stamp Set. And for deep Cranberry, she made a very striking statement, going almost completely monotone except for the highlighted sentiment.

Marmalade | Oceanside

Jana created two cards using the same stamp set, but two different colors: Marmalade and Oceanside. It shows how changing a color can completely change the mood of a project!

For a card encouraging the recipient to be gentle with themselves, Jeff has picked Peacock and toned it down with the soft neutral, Dove, creating a beautiful and tranquil piece of art.

Jessica wows us by creating striking contrast with her use of Honeysuckle and Mushroom against a stark white background. The combination is unexpected, yet breathtaking. What other unexpected color combinations can we create by just being a bit more adventurous?

Laura's use of Stardust with the Fresh Cut Florals Die Edition 3 on top the Dove background—along with the Positive Prints Stamp Set and brightly colored paper stripes—gives the impression of a happy little star shooting through space to say "hi!"

Laurel could not pick just two colors! She needed five colors to properly declare her devotion to coffee—and to her love of ink and a full color spectrum!

Lindsey has shown how using a die with two different colors of cardstock and a couple of simple sentiments, you can quickly create stunning cards to share with your friends and loved ones.

On her Poppy card, Lydia inked the card directly with the Poppy ink pad, and then sprayed it with ink potion #9. On the Sprout card, she watercolored the leaves with Sprout and Poppy re-inkers; the card base is Dove. The results in both cards are stunning!

With just two colors—Grapefruit and Buttercup—Seeka has created three of the brightest and happiest cards you've ever seen that are perfect for men, women, boys, girls. Everyone loves happy!

Tenia has shown why deep purple and bright green were meant to be together forever. Her Eggplant flower contrasted against Parsley leaves are one of the prettiest combos we've seen. Besties indeed.

Wanda picked two very different colors to highlight; but we love how she has shown how to use color to create two equally fun and delightful cards with two completely different tones!

Embossing | Paper Stripes

Ashlea heat embossed beautiful gold lettering atop some multicolored paper stripes for a really fun, but elegant, thank you card perfect for any recipient.

Ink Blending

Becky has beautifully blended Honeysuckle and Sorbet, using the Hexagon Label Dies to separate the colors. The end result is a summery concoction that looks delicious enough to eat!

Inking Using Brayers

Carissa used one of her favorite techniques to create this exquisitely abstract background. Using a brayer and Ballet Slipper, Honeysuckle, Grapefruit, Sea Glass, Peacock, and Stardust inks, she created different textures and color intensities.

DANA JOY - @MZDANAJOY

Faux Stitching | Embossing

Dana made stitching "sew" easy by using a gel pen to create faux stitching! She then heat embossed the sentiment over some primary-colored paper striping for a really fun finished project.

Multicolored Background Using Paper Strips

Erica has created a rainbow sunburst background using paper strips placed asymmetrically making it playful and fun. The ombre ink hexagon label with emboss resist sentiment is a gorgeous final touch!

Ink Blending with Stencils | Matting with Paper

Jana created a lovely frame for the centerpiece of her card by cutting and layering paper mats from different colors of cardstock. She then used a stencil to shade and blend her ink. So lovely!

Tone-on-Tone Stamping | Paper Embossing

Jeff shows us how beautiful tone-on-tone stamping really can be with his Buttercup-on-Buttercup stamping. This technique can be subtle with soft, subtle colors, or pop with bright colors. Either way, it's a fun way to change up coordination! The paper embossing adds a touch of modernity, as well.

Ink Blending | Embossing

Jessica gets us ready for Christmas with this dazzling holiday card, blending the ink from Midnight to Peacock to Oceanside—like a cold winter night. The embossed snowflake is the perfect centerpiece!

Justine enchants us with this blue and gold card by using emboss resist: She embossed the plaid in gold, and then inked the cardstock; where the embossing was, the ink did not stick (or resisted). The result? A merry and bright holiday greeting!

Paper Piecing

Laura has used paper piecing to create a rainbow-striped background for her Fresh Cut Florals flower and Hexagon Labels sentiment. We think you'll all agree that the result is stunning!

Ink Blending, Splattering, Spritzing

Laurel is an ink enthusiast! Here you can see several different techniques: blending, splattering, spritzing—basically, having fun! The lesson here is: Don't be afraid to get messy and experiment.

Ink Ombre

Lindsey has used the ombre ink technique in three different color combinations to create the same card with three different looks! She even changed the orientation on one, showing more options.

Lydia uses a spray bottle with water and Aqua Sky, Honeysuckle, and Buttercup inks to ink up her Fresh Cut Florals petals before assembling the flower to get this gorgeous tie-dye flower look.

Watercolor Block Stamping

Seeka stamped her ink directly from an acrylic block, along with a spritz of water, to get this stunning backdrop to her white framed flowers and pop-of-gold sentiment.

Heat Embossing | Watercoloring

Tenia employed some cool heat embossing for her sentiment and backdrop, while also using some color-on-color watercoloring, giving her flower and leaves some extra shading and dimension.

Wanda has demonstrated true artistry here using her ink pads to watercolor her darling little birthday boy. Tip: Controlling the amount of water you use allows you to adjust the intensity of the color.

My name is Erica and I’ve been creative my whole life but card making has been my main focus the last 12 years. I’m lucky enough to be a housewife/stay-at-home doggie mummy to the two little rescue dogs I share with my darling husband.

I wouldn’t say I have a very specific style as I like switching things up and trying new things. When it comes to colouring mediums, I adore water colouring and this is my go-to when I need me-time, but I’m just as likely to break out Copics, coloured pencils or go to town with ink layering. As long as it’s colourful, I’m into it! Crafting for me is an absolute necessity to keep my inner crazy at bay, and I can’t wait to show you what I’ll be making with this fabulous release!

Hi, I’m Kay Miller. I live in Southern Missouri with my husband, two great kids and four adorable dogs. I first discovered stamping about 28 years ago when I wandered into a small stamping store in Anacortez, WA, while visiting my grandfather. I spent all of my traveling money, and got in trouble for staying too long in the store, but by then, it was too late, I had fallen head over hills. I spent many years in the digital scrapbooking industry creating digital page kits for my own personal website and for the paper industry, and participating on several creative teams for other designers. After completely burning out trying to come up with new designs, I quit, and rediscovered my love for stamping and card making, and started blogging. Along with card making, I also enjoy long walks in the woods with the kids and dogs, photography, and creating whimsical Christmas ornaments with polymer clay. I am beyond thrilled to be guesting with Concord & 9th this month!

I’ve been stamping for 18 years and blogging about stamping for 12 years at Inking Idaho.  Although stamping will always be my first love, making paper purses and paper flowers run a close second.  I love to create dimensional items! My style is pretty clean and simple with attention to every detail. I’m not much of a technique stamper – a little too OCD to make a big mess.  I have a tiny stamping area in the alcove of our bonus room where the dog lays at my feet and the cat in the window and a view of the gorgeous mountains at the end of our street.

I started stamping with the deaf community in Sacramento 18 years ago after I lost my own hearing with the birth of our first son.  I needed to find a hobby that I could enjoy without having to ‘hear’ too much instruction. A friend suggested stamping and the rest is history and the reason I use the hashtag #deafstamper on Instagram.

I have been married to George Papadopoulos for 26 years and we have two college age boys, Benjamin and Nicholas.  We also have a golden retriever named Daphne and a cat named Cheeto, so basically we will never be empty nesters and that is just the way we like it!

Hi everyone!  My name is Jaycee Gaspar and I am a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist from Colorado.  When I am not in the lab, I spend most of my time creating handmade cards for Instagram, my blog, and YouTube.  I have always been passionate about art and science; so my favorite sources of inspiration are street art, botanical illustrations, geometric shapes, and astronomy.  The card making and stamping community is amazingly supportive, and I'm so glad to have found a social crafty niche that challenges my creative bounds.  If I'm not crafting, I enjoy doing fun runs and getting out into the Colorado atmosphere.

Here is a bit about Rebecca & Teddy in her words:
I’m a stay at home mom and former RN. Teddy is almost 8 and in grade 2. We live in a quiet little town in Southern Ontario, Canada with my husband, 2 other sons and an old, much-loved tabby cat. Teddy is autistic and has ADHD and I have health and mobility issues but we find crafting gives us an outlet and helps us cope. Teddy has his own desk in my craft room along with a cubby and drawer with his own paper l, adhesive and other supplies. And, of course, I share my stamps and dies with him. Teddy especially loves to make cards for his Nana and me. He tries to fool me by saying they are for someone else until he is finished. He even asks me to write out the inside for him to copy but changes the name to Mama. We are thrilled to combine our efforts to create projects for C9 this month.

We are SO impressed with this talented duo, and love what crafting means to them!

Hi, my name is Chari Moss and I live in beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina (where I have lived all my life). I have always been creative, even as a kid, and I found my love of stamping at a very young age.  I am an architect by day so I love clean and graphic design but I also love bright and happy colors too. When I’m not crafting or working my husband and I like going to the movies, explore the mountains and travel when we can. I also love LEGO, collecting enamel pins, drinking coffee, all the rainbows, anything Disney and the most colorful time of the year, Autumn. I’m excited to be a guest with Concord & 9th this month. Hello! I’m Channin Pelletier and I live in sunny Arizona with my husband and our two sweet daughters. I’m a long time stamper and papercrafter. I actually started back in junior high with carving my own stamps from erasers for creating handmade cards and scrapbook pages. My current crafty obsession is definitely cardmaking!! It’s difficult for me to nail down my style, I’m bit of chameleon! I love clean and simple designs, coloring critters and flowers, and even constructing interactive cards! But overall I love trying to come up with designs that are unique or unexpected!

Hello there Crafty Friends!  My name is Tina Smith and I am super excited to be a guest here at Concord & 9th.  Here is a little bit about me, I am a wife, a mother of three children, a card maker, a crafter, a baker and a business owner.  We call Kansas our Home but are native Californians:) I have a Blog and Youtube Channel called Cards & Coffee Time. From the time I got a hold of construction paper, glue, scissors and of course an "Easy Bake Oven" I was hooked on the creating process. I just love making pretty things, throw in a cup of coffee and I am a Happy Camper! The Hubby and I own a Bakery & Cafe in Oklahoma, I am the baker, the menu designer and the office manager aka the "Boss";) The Hubbs and our staff take care of the rest. I feel I am truly blessed to be able to do what I love and make living from it. In 2017 I started my papercrafting journey socially but have been crafting ever since I can remember. I get so much joy when I create a card project, pastry or even a cupcake then to share it with someone and see a smile put on their face, well..... it makes me happy!  Thanks so much for stopping by! Megan Hoeppner considers herself a multifaceted nerd -- word nerd, crafting nerd, pen nerd, podcast nerd, popcorn nerd, comic book nerd, tape dispenser nerd (it's true!), camera nerd... And the list goes on. Most of these interests have been a big part of her life, both personally and professionally, since growing up in the rad '80s! #80snerd Today, much of Megan's time is spent playing mom to her two young daughters and one old pup, with her handsome hubby by her side. (He's so dreamy!) Okay... Let's be honest; Megan is the one writing this third-person account of her many "accomplishments." Awkward? You bet! I'll do my best to quickly sum the bio bidnaz up. 

I, Megan, am a passionate crafter with a rich and memorable history with the crafting industry. My past experience includes editorial positions with Paper Crafts magazine, Simple Scrapbooks magazine, Creating Keepsakes magazine, and Scrapbook & Cards Today. Before the editorial adventures began, I worked at Stampin' Up! in the public relations department. Currently, I love teaching crafting classes, designing for projects for various craft companies, sharing ideas on my Instagram and FB accounts, and presenting monthly TV segments on Studio 5, a local lifestyle program in Utah. Chris Dayton lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband, teen son and their three cats.  She also has two adult children, a daughter-in-law, and twin grandsons. She loves to create with ink, paint and markers, and tries to spend some time each day crafting, as she spends many evenings and weekends driving her teen to swim practices or swim meets.  Chris is part of the Stamp Junkies admin team and hosts an annual craft event called Junkie fest.

Here is a bit about Sara in her own words:
My name is Sara Sherlock and I blog over at Much Love, Sara.  I live in Boise, ID with my husband of  11+ years, and I am a Stepmom, Nana, Great-Nana, and a Fur-Mama.  I am also 1 in 100 - I was born with a heart defect, and have had several surgeries over my lifetime to keep my heart(relatively) healthy.  

Since I was young,  I've had a wild imagination, and desire to create.  I discovered card making nearly a decade ago - I knew it was love the first time  I saw the embossing powder melting! Over the years, I've dabbled in a lot of different styles, and with a lot of different types of paper crafts, but always seem to come back to simple, pretty, cards.  I believe in the idea that EVERYONE is capable of, and needs, creativity in their life - sometimes it's just a matter of finding the right niche. I hope that by putting my own creations out into the world, it might help spark someone else's creativity. 

I'm excited to share my projects with you this month, showcasing the fantastic new holiday release from Concord & 9th!
