Reality tv star Khloe Kardashian is the newest spokesmodel for PETA’s “Fur? I’d Rather Go Naked” campaign.

Apparently the star was horrified at the graphic images shown to her that detailed how fur clothing was made.

The ads, which feature a very nude Kardashian are up and running as we speak.

Project Runway Finalists’ Fashion Week Collections

This season, in an effort to avoid any leaks about the winning designer, Project Runway had all six finalists show in New York’s Fashion Week. Warning: this post is picture heavy.

The six designers showed vastly different collections, which prevented style fatigue and kept the anticipation going. While some of the looks were definitely innovative and interesting, some looked straight off the rack at K-Mart. Overall, I was disappointed in the six collections - nothing blew me away.

Since this is several seasons in for Project Runway, I guess I expected more. Other final collections from seasons’ past were much better executed and didn’t look like a home sewn collection or a fashion school project.

Victoria Beckham’s New Haircut

Posh Spice is sporting a new ‘do just in time for a glamour night out with JLo.

Victoria is still keeping it short, with a sassy layers and a deep dark shade. I think this look would be hard for most to pull off - only those with great cheekbones should try it out.

I am not sure I like this hairstyle - not being in possession of star-worthy cheekbones, but on her I think the look is less severe than her old style. I think the colour suits her and she looks softer and more approachable somehow.

Britney Spears at the VMA’s

The MTV Video Music Awards have always been a big part of Britney’s career - flash back to the the infamous kiss with Madonna, the yellow boa constrictor and her painful-to-watch comeback performance last year.

This year, the pop princess was back, but in a good way. While Britney didn’t perform, she managed to pull it together enough to show up looking more like the Brit Brit we knew back when her career was hot, and less like a Hollywood star on the verge of a meltdown.

While Britney didn’t do a musical performance, she did a skit with “Superbad” star Jonah Hill and read a few times from the teleprompter.

Despite her limited role during the show, she managed to snag three awards: best female video, best pop video and video of the year for “Piece of Me.”

As I was browsing on eBay for a great deal, I came across a very interesting auction. Apparently designer duds are out and couture condoms are in.

Marc Jacobs has evidently lent his design expertise to a limited edition (or at least under promoted) condom line. The item comes complete with Marc Jacobs box and logo that states: Remember, Safety First! XXOO, Marc Jacobs.

So, it’s not enough to ensure that you have the latest “it” bag or the newest pair of pricey shades - to be truly fashionable you must sport designer protection when doing the deed.

As usual, Madonna stole the show last night at the annual amFAR Cinema against AIDS benefit at Cannes. The material girl offered up her own Chanel bag, and everything in it, for the charity.

The bag is black alligator with a diamond studded clasp. Madge handed over the bag for a winning bid of 300,000 euros (over $471,000 U.S.). Inside she had Shu Uemura blotting paper, lip gloss that the Queen of Pop actually used, a magnifying mirror and throat lozenges.

Toronto loves Posh - fans crowded into Holt Renfrew’s Bloor Street store yesterday to catch a glimpse of their fave Spice Girl.

Beckham was in town promoting her new denim and eyewear line at Holt’s (Canada’s version of Saks) in between the last two Spice Girls gigs that ended their reunion tour.

Last night’s concert in Toronto is the last time fans can expect to see the infamous spicy Brits together on stage.
