I know my daughter will love this book; on top of that, we have ALWAYS gotten our dogs from shelters.  They make the best dogs!  Our 90 pound mutt Banjo lived to be 12, our jack russell mix Vegas died last summer at 17, and our current jack russell fox terrier mix Bailey will be 12 this year & still acts like a puppy –  we believe wholeheartedly in rescue dogs.
