What with the downsizing of  Corporate America, major business scandals, layoffs and the shrinking value of  the dollar, we must all be constantly searching for the best opportunities to  improve the quality of our work and family lives. Constantly improving your  qualifications via education and certifications and being aware of opportunities  in lateral fields of work can can only benefit your family.</p>
<p>As I am an IT contractor, first on my list is the <a href="http://contractmcse.com/jobs/it_certifications.htm">IT Certifications</a> that validate my skills in  Project Management, computers, networks and software development. <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/train_cert/" target="_blank">Microsoft</a>,<a href="http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/10/wwtraining/certprog/lan/course.html" target="_blank"> Cisco</a> and <a href="http://www.comptia.com/" target="_blank">Comptia</a> being the major  institutions offering testing and dispensing of certifications I am interested  in.</p>
<p><a href="http://contractmcse.com/jobs/job_search_engines.htm">Job Search Engines</a>, direct contacts with <a href="http://contractmcse.com/jobs/company_hr.htm">HR departments</a> and reputable <a href="http://contractmcse.com/jobs/recruiters.htm">Recruiters</a> are invaluable resources for the IT  contractor. When I near the end of a particular project or assignment, I use  these tools along with professional/personal networking to publish the fact that  I am available to assist corporations with their IT needs.</p>
<p>Finally, to improve my long-term viability in the market place, I use the <a href="http://contractmcse.com/jobs/education/degrees.htm">Online Degrees</a> listing to find and enroll in  the course I need to support my chosen field. Project Management Degrees,  certificates and or courses are all available online and on my timetable. Online  Institutions are soon to be the preferred method of gaining a Degree.</p>

This means that I have  contracted PacePros to perform all my withholding, benefit program management,  401k contributions, and tax tracking. This allows me to eliminate the middleman,  IT Recruiters, in my contract negotiations that I have had to use in the past.  This increases gross revenues, lowers the overall costs and improves rate  negotiation flexibility for myself and my clients, They are shown on my resume  as a consistent employer across all of my contracts.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gomsg.com/" target="_blank">Merchant Account</a> FirstData is the largest merchant processor in the USA. FirstData allows business to transact directly with the processor, eliminating the need for a third party markup from a bank.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.troxlerusa.com/" target="_blank">Troxler USA</a> has programs that assist me in creating a retirement and  Living Trust plan to suit my needs and the needs of my family.</p>
<p><a href="https://us.etrade.com/" target="_blank">E-Trade</a> is were my stock portfolio tools and accounts are held. In the past I  have used E-Trade to day-trade and have done quite well with their assistance and  with the service they have provided.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.freerealtime.com/" target="_blank">FreeRealtime.com</a> allows me to check the real-time stock prices  and trends on NASDAQ and Big-  Board stocks I may be researching. With many additional forums and articles to  help me in gaining more knowledge related to the stock research I must perform  to make fast accurate decisions and get in ahead of the curve.</td>
