Nowadays I think its safe to say a majority of websites have a form of some sort, ranging from  a contact form to a sign up form. Some of which are a breeze to use and others and absolute nightmare. Wherever possible you should endeavor to make it as easy as possible for the user to complete the desired form, here are 12 JQuery form plug ins to help add something new to your forms.

JTip

Jtip provides lovely JQuery tooltips when you hover over elements.

Password Strength

This plugin shows the strength of you passwords by telling you how long time it would take to brute force them.

Password Strength Indicator and Generator

Sometimes you want to show your user the strength of their password and although there a quite a few jQuery “plugins” that do this there are none – that I’ve found – that let you set the class of an element so that you can do a graphical representation of the strength.

Highlight

Highlight increases usability by highlighting elements as you interact with the page. Its primary use is for forms, but it can also be used for tables, lists, or any element you specify.

One of the original authors of Blueprint CSS has decided to re-factor his ideas into a stripped down framework which provides the bare essentials to begin any project. This framework will be lite and strive not to suggest un-semantic naming conventions.

YUI: CSS Grid Builder
