Of all kinds of running games I’ve played so far, I believe Temple Run Oz is the best. Its simply because of the awesome graphics and its compatibility. I have Micromax Canvas1 with 1Ghz processor, and it shows some lag on ‘big’ games, more like Temple Run, Indestructible and similar games. Temple Run Oz runs somewhat smooth in comparison to Temple Run 2.

Okay I know all these games I’ve ranked are biased from my point of view. Considering that I just don’t have any game to ranked fifth. May be Temple Run 2 is best choice for this place, but I just don’t like it that much. So I think, what this position beholds is, a respect for UNoriginality and hard work of people who made running games like Panda Run, Angry Gran Run, Pyramid Run, and its second part. May be this is the reason I’m not anymore into the running games.

Blogging is not only a hobby today. It is a mean for fueling your pocket money too. I’ve been in this field for more than 4 years now and I guess I’m experienced enough to give out some suggestions to the Newbies.

1.Your Grammar

I understand that I’m no Shakespeare but I try my level best to avoid Grammatical mistakes. My English also improved with time, compared to what I used to write back in 2008-09. So that is one positive aspect of blogging.

Publishing articles with broken English are okay but there’s always an upper limit to something. Just imagine your self rEadinG s0mEthinG wRittEn in tHe fAceBo0k lAnguaGe. It not only takes time to type but leaves a negative impact on readers. Unless on Facebook.

2. Design of your Blog

Designs have always been a crucial part of a website. Although it should not matter in reading out something but people usually forget that when choosing a design. A heavy site takes time to load and if you flood it with plugins and many images trying to actually improve the viewing experience for your readers, I have a bad news for you. Simplicity is what one should follow. That is the only reason the Designs I made are usually very simple.

3. Backlinks and taking  part in Discussions

New bloggers usually have a misunderstanding “Why should I comment?”. Actually it does not matter if you have a question or not. I does not matter you actually admire the Author or not. But you should comment. Its for the sake of your blog. But don’t forget to fill out the website’s space in comment. That’s what is the easiest way of making your blog popular.

-Make a Page you want to redirect to a category.

-Turn it to HTML  editor

-Copy and paste the below script as it is in the post area.

-Put any text like “Please Wait…” after the script.

What is its use? You might think. Here is an explanation.

When you create a post you categorize them. Now the url to a particular category does not always look catchy. Using a Page’s url instead of Category would be best.

Say for example on my other site I have,

S2PD.com/artworks

looks more catchy than

S2PD.com/category/artworks

When asked my friends, a few said 1 hour, someone said 2 then 3 and then suddenly one said 12, I repeat TWELVE hours. I was like woah!!

So where do the time goes?

-Managing Facebook pages.

-and Games!

Most of us(not all) usually ignore game invitations considering its another typical Facebook app asking you to invite friends for its publicity or a friend is really in need of coins or credits whatever! Well not all apps are like that. It is only the Big names which does not follow this strategy of publications.

Coming back to the point, I wanted to share a few Facebook games which I feel are worth spending a little time with.

First in this list is all favorite Angry Birds Friends. Note that I’m not talking about its other versions. Angry Bird Friends compares and awards the best players in your friend list. It is quite a time killer when it comes to challenging and bragging friends. :p

Second one I like is Tic Tac Toe Multiplayer.

This one game is the much advanced form of the old-school back page game, Tic Tac Toe.

You’ve to form a continuous line of 5 circle or crosses to win.

Third and the fourth one’s I like are quite similar.

Here the title should be Pool Games.

As the two games I’m talking about are Pool Live Tour and 8 Ball Pool by Miniclip.

They are bit same but yet a lot different. Pool Live tour gets very interesting with time given that you wins! Otherwise it could be quite frustrating for you.

Go enjoy yourself, but make sure you don’t waste most time of your days playing them or any other game specifically Farm Ville!

Time is one necessary factor in a student’s life, use it wisely rather you should spend it watching T.V. and cartoon/anime series and winning trophies in other BIG games. :p

Do NOT switch to any different language which you cannot understand at all. Reason behind this is, once you’ve switch you are not allowed to switch  back for next 30 days!

Any ways it does not applies the same settings to everyone as a person has to allow the application by himself. But it is still fun, looking rather reading out things in a different way.

It was very well welcomed by the developers all over the world and today Play store is approaching the App Store in terms of number of apps. Yet, when Nokia launched their new series of Smartphones, Lumia, they chose Windows! Why!? The question is reasonable.

Here’s my approach on why!

Let me ask you a little question.

Name a Windows phone?

The answer would be Lumia! Isn’t it?

Its not only because you just read that name but if you ask any random person out there, the first name coming to mind would be Lumia. Though they might even say HTC or Samsung.

You can say this is some kind of marketing, by playing with the brains. Nokia chose Windows over Android because, being chosen Android, “Nokia would have been just another Android phone.”

Now that we all know technology is the fastest growing tree. Today we have something, tomorrow we might get a lot of things. That way, Windows phone would definitely develop to great extent in future.

Lumia at the same time are great phones, if somebody manages to make an App-Bridge(running other OS’s app in other OS) in future, perhaps that would be a severe bad news for Apple as well as Samsung.

1.) Task Manager

Easy to understand and most probably you might be having one task manager to kill unnecessary background apps eating memory.

I recommend Advanced Task Killer which is available for free in Play Store.

Apart from this I also tried Fast Reboot which actually does the same thing as the Advanced Task Killer, yet is a bit different. It actually fastens your phone. It kills the background processes just like any other task killer, but I feel my phone faster using after using this. I don’t know why, so I’ve installed both.

2.) The Launcher

I recommend using the inbuilt launcher because of the following reasons.

-It takes less memory.

-Even if you’re not using it, it is still running in background.

But if you still want to use one, I recommend LauncherPro, although all of the launchers I’ve tried are almost equally fast.

3.) Lock Screens

Again, let the default lock screen do its job. Lock screen apps does run in background for initialization. Even if you’re not using the default one, it is still running. So it is better use the default one.

4.) Status Bar

Hey look! What is your problem! Why don’t you let the default things work. I know the customized things look good, but if the speed is concerned, you will have to make some sacrifices.

5.) Notification Bar ads

Well this is the most annoying part. There are few apps which are now using the notification bar ads. In order to show these ads whenever you are connected to Internet, these apps run in background always. So the solution is to either uninstall or use the paid version. One of the app which does this was Super Zombie Hunter. Which is at the moment not available on Play Store.

To find out which apps show this kind of ads, you can check in the description of the apps. If that’s not helpful, the other trick to find out is quite lengthy. But here it goes:

-Install Omega Status Bar (Free version) Okay, lets forget the fourth point above for a while.:p

-Go offline. Either, turn off the wifi and Data Services, of use the Air Plane mode.

-Grant Accessibility to Omega Status Bar.

-If the pop up of the notification bar ad comes up don’t close it. Rather click the menu soft key.

Now you will be able to see the icons of the app which are working at the moment, if there’s only one icon, that is definitely the app responsible for the ads. If there are more than one icon, good luck with the hit and trial you should do to find out.

So that’s all! ;) I’m feeling sleepy sleepy… zzz…

So after coming home first thing I searched on Play was Windows Mobile Launcher, and the first result was Launcher7.

Yes, it is a launcher and I believe the best one. It has free version as well as Donate versions available.

If you would like to hear, here’s little advice.

Only keep the most used apps on the main home screen. Use folders and categorize the apps. There is a List View add-on available on market which makes the folders’ look and feel awesome, it will only work with the donate version though.

In order to make it look good, do not use the default application icons. You can change them to whatever you want.

I downloaded the metro icons pack from here. It includes icons pretty much for everything. Thus was very helpful.

A few months ago I got hands on my 5th phone in last 4 years, and the phone was Micromax A100 Canvas. Pretty smart, it is a smart phone of Micromax’s series of Superfones.

Specifications which matters:

1Ghz Single Core Processor

512 MB RAM, 4GB Internal Memory (about 3GB user available)

4.9 inch 196ppi Capacitative Touch Screen (Pretty big hunh..)

5MP shitty camera with NO-HD video recording (Records in 480p)

Secondary VGA camera

Android ICS 4

I totally fell in love with this phone on the first day and I still love it, but my love is a little bit compromised. With its huge size, bigger than my previous phone, Nokia E61i, it is an eye candy.

With its good internal configuration it has run every app I’ve ever installed till now and playing big as well as small games is a beauty on this phone.

The only defect I felt after a few days was, the phone hangs a bit on turning on the WiFi, and most of the time (about 1 in every 5 trial) restarts it self while turning on the WiFi. Then after a week and installing about 50+ apps, I noticed it hangs a bit while playing heavy games. Noticed while playing Temple Run, then on Indestructible  Subway Surfer, and on many games afterwards. That probably could be blamed on me installing so many apps and games. But still a Lag is a Lag. It frustrates you most when you are approaching a good high score. The cure was cleaning the memory. I use Advanced Task Manager, which pretty much boosts phone’s performance for small games, but isn’t enough for games like Temple Run and Subway Surfer. Solution to this was a quick Restart, and afterwards the games go like butter on frying pan.

Now comes the turn of Browsing.

The inbuilt file manager sucks so I use X-plore by Lonly Cat Games. Which is of great use once you understand it.

Browsing website using the inbuilt web browser is just too main stream, of course I installed Chrome first.  Then I felt a need for Opera Mini/Mobile (they are almost same), as I previously loved it on Nokia. Then I even installed UC Browser, and I use it the most. Don’t know why but its caching function is better than any other browser on Android platform.

That’s all about the performance and this phone is pretty good at that but not excellent.

Now comes the Camera.

The phone features a 5 MP camera, which is of no use in dim light areas, rather say Evenings. I felt a lack of performance just in the camera. But is pretty helpful in takes snaps of notes at College. :p

Overall the camera is O.K. But not good from a 5MP camera.

The phone is priced at INR 10,000 which is a valid price for this phone.

Micromax has also launched its dual-core version which I believe will boost its performance from Good to Excellent.
