Unstoppable Fist is a video game with a delightfully simple premise: punching hostile chickens and evil fish in the face.

It seems like a good bit of fun and reminds me a bit of the old Duke Nukem games which I played habitually as a child. I just can’t get over how easily the hero punches animals into liquid bits.

The 8-bit soundtrack throws me into blissful nostalgia and I can’t wait to see what developer Rag Tag Studios will roll out into the mobile gaming space. Count me in.

Right now Unstoppable Fist is only available on iOS , I’m hoping they’ll release a version for the Android.

You Look:

The people behind Doctor Who have released a mini-episode to quell your Whovian jitters.

Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, the Weeping Angels; the whole gang makes an appearance. What’s unique about this episode is that it was written by the children from Ashdene Primary School in Wimslow. This was all part of some competition where kids 9 to 11 years submit their script to be brought to television. Kind of a neat way I think to make Doctor Who even more accessible.

You’ll see that the theme of this episode “Good as Gold” is the 2012 Olympics in London. To elaborate, UK children are really involved in home country affairs.

What the…
Having the Doctor take out a Weeping Angel with his Sonic Screwdriver seems suspiciously easy. As you may or may not know, the Sonic Screwdriver started out as a tool to open doors. Get it together kids.

I just checked out the Sleeping Dogs video game trailer and it looks very good. It might be because I just watched a whole mess of MMA fights because I’m jonesing for a good fighting game.

The preview below shows quite a bit of action. Knees, elbows, hip throws… I particularly like it when the hero breaks enemy joints by stomping on them. We also see some pretty creative albeit gruesome finishers – impaling a dude by throwing him on a pole, using gas ranges to set faces on fire, forcing a man on a table saw etc.

Let us celebrate Robert Moog’s birthday today with a finely crafted Google Doodle that has taken up more time than I’ll admit.

You can do quite a lot with today’s Doodle and from a technical design perspective, it’s presented very well.

You can play the Moog with your keypad and number rows, share on Google+, or even email the link to all of your friends. For you, a quick infographic.

Make sure to turn the volume way up so you can truly appreciate the synthesizer and the electronic sounds Moog had wanted the world to hear.

People from UK and Australia got access to this beautiful Google Doodle a bit earlier and already, remixes/compositions/songs have sprung up on the further edges of the interwebs.

You Look:

I actually wondered where Google’s logo would show up in this session’s Doodle. I finally noticed G-O-O-G made up the Mixed, Oscillator, Filter and Envelope. The L and E are represented by the curling green and red wires. You wouldn’t notice it if you were enjoying the Moog in a normal way. I just have too much time on my hands.

It’s about time. The new James Bond film looks deadly good and I’ve got the trailer to prove it.

As usual, the movie looks very action packed but it seems more “British” than past Bond films. From what I’ve seen, it’s not as exotic or international as Quantum of Solace or Casino Royale. Hopefully I make sense, and that you’re nodding emphatically in agreement.

I really like that this film seems to pay homage to classic Bond elements like his weapon of choice, the Walter PPK and a vintage Aston Martin. Both are seen in the trailer.

Also, it looks like Daniel Craig has gotten considerably chunkier, probably a combination of age, Cheetos and Weisz.

The Wii U Tablet just went through a mild redesign.

Some QA Tester from TT Games tweeted an image a couple hours ago and you can notice some subtle differences between this new tablet and the one the world saw at last year’s E3.

Things we noticed:
A new Wii U logo on the left under the touch screen
Plus and minus buttons are moved to the right
A small square outline underneath the d-pad
Another outline between the battery life indicator and power button
New Wii-style analog sticks as opposed to the flatter circles we saw last year
Also a light ring (similar to the Xbox 360) surrounding the Home button. Awesome.

I remember playing Halo with my friends when it first came out. I wasn’t very good at it; kept getting run over by the Banshee, back when being run over wasn’t hip.

Smashcut ten years later and we have Halo 4. I’m pretty sure my Halo skills haven’t increased by much, but the gameplay videos certainly are purdier.

To all the gamers out there.

Don’t worry. There’s a bigger loser than you. Some guy just beat Diablo 3 in 12 hours and 29 minutes. That sounds pretty impressive to me since I can’t imagine doing anything uninterrupted for more than 4.

Player Yoshichan has accumulated
8,368 Lifetime Kills, 412 Elite Kills and 168,481 gold as a Barbarian on normal difficulty.

Hopefully these little numbers have motivated you to be somebody in the online gaming community. A friend of mine bought his copy of Diablo a couple of hours ago and he’s cocooned himself in his own home. I couldn’t be prouder.

I can’t help but think that Yoshichan really hasn’t finished the game. He beat it once on normal difficulty. I always thought that beating a game meant completing it at the highest difficulty possible.

Meh. No worries. This Yoshichan fellow probably didn’t even enjoy the game. You however, probably are. And that’s what matters. Just avoid those Templar Followers. You’d be begging for server problems.

Four Koreans just beat Diablo 3 in 7 hours on normal difficulty. Some Chinese dudes did the same. (Thanks Tom’s Hardware for the tip)

There’s a new Google Easter Egg.

Type in Zerg Rush. You’ve just summoned an army of little “Os” that nudge and destroy your search results. It’s damn annoying too. Watching that life bar decrease actually gives me pause.

Feel Your Jaw Drop:

You earn points by clicking on the “Os,” and attack them till they drop. It seems easy, but there are an endless wave of baddies. You don’t really win. Resistance is futile

At the end of the Zerg rush, the “Os” organize themselves into two huge “Gs.” Kinda reminds me of the Replicators in Stargate. Good Game indeed.

This little Easter egg is based off the ever-awesome video game Starcraft.

The new Lamborghini Aventador J is pure sex on wheels. I’m not even a fan of cars but watching this video and not sharing it with you has made me feel all sorts of guilty.

The Highlights:
The Aventador J rips through city streets like an angry person would through a cheap paperback. The whole thing is Photoshopped so it looks the supercar is just a beam of light that brings color to a quiet cityscape. I don’t know what this means but my heart actually races when I hear those sexy car revving sounds.
