Powerocks Magicstick 2800mah Universal Extended Battery Review

I was recently contacted by Powerocks asking me if i'd be interested in trying out their Magicstick power bank, I gladly accepted and been using it extensively for past few weeks.

Opinions might vary on looks, but to me personally Magicstick looks great. It comes in a 4-inch cylindrical design with brushed aluminum finish and weighs about 2.6 ounces. I liked the fact that its small and light weight. After-all whats the point of having a portable charger you can't carry around with you.

There's a status indicator led ring on one end that shows you current charge left by flashing different colors, on another end there is a micro-USB port and a standard USB port.

Using the device is pretty straight forward, you connect your smartphone's cable to the USB port (there's a micro-USB cable included) and that's it. Magicstick would then charge the connected device like any wall charger would.

There's one thing to remember though, since the output current is 1amps some beefier devices might take a little longer to charge. To give you an idea here are output current of some common chargers:

Computer's USB Port: 5V 0.5A
Amazon's Kindle Charger: 5V 0.85A
iPhone Wall Charger: 5V 1A
iPad Wall Charger: 5.1V 2A

The 2800mah battery is adequate to bring a modern smartphone like iPhone 5's dead battery to life more than once. Less power-hungry devices like wireless headphones, portable media players, e-readers can be charged several times before draining the battery.

Magicstick can be recharged using microusb port and included usb cable, it takes about 5 hours to charge it completely for next use.

The tablet is still in its final version. The prototype has a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 2GB RAM, 3 USB 2.0 ports, a VGA output, Ethernet and audio in / outputs. The final version will reportedly a dual core Atom N550 processor. There is still no word on screen size or resolution.

What sets the slate apart Indamixx 2 apart from the rest is the OS. The Slate is Indamixx 2 Transmission 5.0, a music-centric OS that is actually built around MeeGo. The company says they MeeGo chosen because it is very touch! -friendly. And since MeeGo is a Linux distribution, the tablet provides endless possibilities when it comes to tweaking options. It will also be able to traditional tasks that a tablet is supposed to handle.

Price and availability
If you can not wait for the final building hit stores, the "beta hardware'is available now for $ 999. If you're willing to wait you can already get much better pricing options.

HP recently relaunched the Mini 210 laptop with a new design and many more configuration options. The mini-laptop is now available with four different CPU and graphics options.

If you choose the basic configuration with a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, you will not get any graphics options in addition to the GMA 3150 integrated graphics. The Atom N475 configuration is available with or without the Broadcom Crystal HD Video Accelerator. The top-of-the-line configuration with a dual-core Intel Atom processor N550 includes the Crystal Broadcom HD Video Accelerator.

HP also offers the netbook wi! th a choice of Windows 7 Starter or Home Premium, 2GB of RAM and a 160GB or 250GB, 7200rpm hard drive. You can also choose between a 1024 x 600 pixels or 1366 x 768 pixel display.

The new HP 210 comes standard with a 6-cell battery. It is no longer available with a 3-cell battey option. The new model also has an island-style keyboard, a touchpad with integrated controls and a rear panel that can be removed without a screwdriver.

Both machines can deliver more or less the same CPU and graphics performance, but the 1215N will improve battery life to get. On the other hand, the 1215T will cost nearly $ 50 less than 1215N.

Most major PC makers have launched at least one covertible tablet-style netbook. Gigabyte, for instance, has launched plans to launch and much more.

The latest convertible from Gigabyte is the 11.6-inch T1125N. It is powered by an Intel Core i3 or i5 processor and NVIDIA GeForce 310M discrete graphics card with 512 MB of video memory and Optimus technology. The laptop has a!
