Celebrate and make new memories with us at the 24th Festival of Trees-A Celebration of Giving. Watch the magic unfold during the week of November 24, 2009, and share in the journey as Mayo Civic Center's Exhibit Hall transforms into a beautifully decorated forest of Christmas trees.

Hiawatha Homes Foundation sponsors this treasured event to benefit Hiawatha Homes, Inc. The success of each year's Festival of Trees allows the Hiawatha Homes Foundation to give financial support to Hiawatha Homes, Inc. for special projects that make a significant difference in the lives of the people we support. Hiawatha Homes Inc. provides residential, in-home and community-based choices for people with disabilities.

Let the spirit of the season gently fill your heart as you celebrate with family and friends at this year's Festival of Trees - A Celebration of Giving.

Senior Citizens Day - Wednesday - November 25, 2009 - Luncheon & Style Show - Seniors enjoy a bowl of tasty soup while they listen to the musical entertainment on our main stage. Desserts are served while they get a sneak peek at the latest styles and trends during the Senior Style Show.

Children's Day - Friday - November 27, 2009 - Children's Day is always brimming with smiles, music, and giggles! In 2008, over 600 children enjoyed the exciting carnival games, creative crafts, an entertaining magician, a gigantic bouncy tiger and the festive dance music that filled the North Lobby of the Mayo Civic Center. This year, Santa will be there to talk to children and add their holiday wishes to his list. Bring your camera to capture a priceless moment with Santa or amongst the trees for their holiday greeting card. Ho, ho, ho! For Cookies and Milk with Santa on Children's Day Children and grandchildren can spend some special time with Santa sharing their wish list, enjoying cookies and milk, and receiving a special gift from the man in red. Space is limited to 30 children per group. The cost is $5.00 per child and advanced reservations are required. Call 507-289-8683 for reservations.

Friday Night Dance Party - Friday - November 27, 2009 - Festival of Trees is host to a fun-filled evening of dancing among the trees for people with disabilities and their friends and families. Listen to a D.J. , share a holiday treat, and enjoy the company of friends. No charge but advanced reservations are required. Call 507-289-8683 for reservations.

Gingerbread Family Day - Saturday - November 28, 2009 - Run, run, as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man! Decorate gingerbread cookies, listen to this beloved children's tale and enjoy a day of gingerbread treats.

Gift Thyme Shoppe - Open Daily - The Holiday Gift Boutique is a unique shop designed specifically for the Festival of Trees with over 3,000 square feet of decorating and gift ideas to delight you. Beautiful, whimsical gifts and home fashions fill the shelves. You will find treats and treasures for the young and the young at heart. Whatever the occasion, we have quality gifts sure to please everyone on your list.

Holiday Café - Open Daily - Relax and enjoy the ambiance of the beautifully decorated trees at the Holiday Cafe. Enjoy a cup of hot cider, nibble on a festive treat, and listen to the sights and sounds of the Festival.

All Day Entertainment - The wonderful sounds at the Festival of Trees are just as spectacular as the trees themselves. Each year hundreds of talented musicians and dancers fill the Exhibit Hall with the sights and sounds of the holidays. Entertainers share talents that are appreciated and enjoyed by the many Festival guests as they stroll among the beautiful trees. We strive to feature accomplished artists as well as serious students who perform selections that include classical or holiday choices that will enhance our holiday theme. Come, listen, and enjoy the wonder and magic of the holidays with us.

Insane Clown Posse is an American hip hop duo from Detroit, Michigan. The group is composed of Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler, who perform under the respective personas of the wicked clowns Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. Insane Clown Posse performs a style of hardcore hip hop and is known for its elaborate live performances. The duo has earned two platinum and three gold albums.

Originally known as Inner City Posse, the group introduced supernatural- and horror-themed lyrics as a means of distinguishing itself stylistically. The duo founded the independent record label Psychopathic Records with Alex Abbiss as manager, and produced and starred in the feature films Big Money Hustlas and Big Money Rustlas. They formed their own professional wrestling federation, Juggalo Championship Wrestling, and later collaborated with many famous hip hop and rock musicians.

The themes of Insane Clown Posse and other acts on Psychopathic Records center on the mythology of the Dark Carnival, which the duo claim is a spiritual force that has revealed a series of stories known as Joker's Cards. These stories each offer a specific lesson designed to change the "evil ways" of listeners before "the end consumes us all." Insane Clown Posse has a dedicated following, often referred to by the group as Juggalos and Juggalettes.
