Finding paying PTC sites can be tricky sometimes, especially with the high turnover rate of such sites. There are several quick ways for which you can identify which are scam PTC sites and which ones pay.

Read TOS

They always say the small print is what gets you, so make sure you read the TOS and FAQ of the site. You may also want to check back on it often as well, since most TOS’s have disclaimers where the webmaster can change it at any time. Don’t be suprised to see a site that started paying in under 48 hours according to the TOS, later change to 30 days.

Read the Forums

Read what people have to say about whether a PTC site is paying. You can quickly assess if a site is paying or not. As an example, check out the forums at GagaBux. Look how many complaints there are of people not getting paid and have been waiting for over a month even though the TOS says 5 to 7 business days.

Overall Click Rates vs Advertising Costs

Assessing the profitability of a site is also pretty easy to check. Make sure the advertising costs are greater than the click rates they offer to their members. You’d be surprised how many PTC sites are run by people who lack the basic knowledge that profits must be greater than costs. For example: If a site rewards its members with $0.01 per click on ads and $0.05 clicks per referral, this would mean that the PTC sites would pay $15 for 1000 ad views assuming that person was referred by someone. If the same site offers advertisers 1000 clicks for $10, they obviously are not making enough to cover their daily costs.

Active Admin

Not always, but most often, an active admin is a good indicator that the PTC site is currently paying. When the admin becomes less active, that’s the time to get out. While these signs are not 100% fool proof, they do give you insight on what you should be looking for in a PTC site that can pay. Even so, many sites that do pay, often take longer and longer to pay and often stop completely. Generally, Bux type sites will more often then not have a very short life span, where as Aurora type sites last much longer due to their lower payout rates and cheaper advertising for its advertisers. In the end, its all up to you.

PTC sites in general are either one of two types, bux or aurora. The Bux PTC sites were much more popular in previous days because of the higher earnings, however there was also much more risk as well with so many Bux site failures. Bux sites generally pay a lot more then aurora sites. Earnings per click are usually about $0.01 and referral clicks are between $0.005 and $0.01. On the other hand Aurora sites pay much less, usually in fractions of a cent from $0.001 to $0.005 and referral clicks even less. Because of the higher payouts, bux sites tend to fail a lot because their payouts per a click are usually higher then the amount they charge for advertising.

Bux sites couldn’t survive on advertising income alone as illustrated above. Instead they were forced to make money from alternate cash streams. These include selling premium memberships with incentives such as higher click rates for both the user and referrals. Also premium memberships tend to get more ads to click. Bux sites also sell referrals and jackpots as other forms of revenue. Because bux sites are not self sufficient on advertising alone, many tend to fail. Aurora sites on the other hand pay out much less for click rates and can rely on advertising income to sustain site. They also have the option of selling premium memberships and referrals, but they do not have to rely on those revenue streams like a bux ptc site does. They don’t have the same payout issues because they generally have positive cash flow from advertising alone.

In the end, what it comes down to is fast earning/high risk investment versus a slow earning/stable investment. Aurora sites are on the safer end of the spectrum and bux sites on the high risk side, with many other PTC sites falling somewhere in between. Bux sites failure is usually the result of negative advertising cash flow. But in the past few months we have seen a new trend in PTC sites. Many newer sites have featured faster payouts, even instant payouts. This is a direct result of the “old school” bux script type sites that have payout delays of up to 6 months. These new PTC sites are a hybrid of the old bux and aurora sites. They still have the high earnings payout per click, but at the same time they are charging a lot more for advertising to see a positive cash flow. Some are also offering other features such as renting referrals like NeoBux. These sites are paying the way for a future with a better and prolonged life of paid to click sites.

Welcome to another exciting post of mine. Now you all might be thinking that what’s exciting in this post. Hello all. Posting this article have taken quite long time as I want to provide you with the most useful and relevant information about PTC. As I have listened from many of my friends that PTC is just wear and tear. But its not if would be done with proper strategy and conception. Anyways moving onto the topic today I am illustrating the step by step process of starting PTC work. Please follow me if you really want to fill up your pocket with lods of dollars ?

Step 1: Make a new email account

The very first thing you need to do is create a new email account. Usually it’s a good idea to have a separate email account for signing up with PTC sites because it makes it easier to manage your emails if one is dedicated to paid to click sites. Take it as your business and keep your professional emails separate from personal.

You can get your free email accounts at the Google, Yahoo, or MSN. Most of the free email account providers have junk mail filtering so make sure your settings are set where you will get email from any sites that you join.

Step 2: Sign-up for an AlertPay and/or a Paypal account

The next step is signing up for an account with a payment processor. Most PTC sites will pay you via Paypal, AlertPay or check (very rare) as mentioned in my previous post. It’s a good practice to use the same email address for both your payment processor and your PTC sites. This ensures your payments go to the right account.

Step 3: Join PTC site

The next step is to actually join PTC site. Joining a site is very easy, much like creating an email account. Most sites don’t ask for any personal information, in fact usually just an email address, user name, password and the email address you have signed up for payment processor.

Let’s take an example to sign-up for a free account at Neobux. Fill in the form with your username, password, email address, etc. When you have entered all your info make sure you type the correct verification code on the last field shown just to the right of it. Then click submit. That’s it! You have created your first PTC account. In the same way you can create accounts at Top 5 PTC websites.

Step 4: Start Earning

After you have created your account, you are ready to login and begin viewing ads to start earning. Generally you need to view an ad for 20 to 30 seconds after which you will get a check mark notifying you that you have successfully viewed the ad for the required amount of time. You will then be credited with the amount of the click usually between $0.01 and $0.03. Right now that doesn’t sound like a lot, but you also make money on clicks that your referrals make and this can add up very quickly.

Let’s continue the example stated in Step 3. Now the account has been created, click on the login link and enter your login details. Don’t forget to enter verification code. Once you enter into the account now it’s the time start making money. Click on the View Advertisement link at top. You will see ads in boxes here on this page showing website name and description. The ads are usually categorized in certain categories such as “Computers and the Internet”. Click on the first ad square box, a red ball will appear once you will click that ball, you will be shown the website for the ad and you will see a timer counting down from 30. You must wait until that timer reaches zero. After it reaches zero you will see the word done with the green check mark and you will have earned your first $0.01. You can view your earning at top right corner with your user name. You can view your complete account stats such as money earned, referral count and other member information by clicking on your user name. Normally there is between 4 and 10 ads you can surf in a 24 hour period as a basic member. As you visit each banner, it will get inactive and force you to wait 24 hours before clicking them again.

Step 5: Getting Paid

Many sites have set the minimum payout limits that you must reach before you can cashout. It’s usually around $2.00 to $10.00. Neobux has a $2 minimum payout. You can always check your stats to see how much you have earned currently. To get paid at Neobux, simply go to your account>>convert and select cash via Paypal or AlertPay. That’s it. “Money in your account”.
