They just acquired Alcatel-Lucent a French mobile company for 15.6 billion EUR. This is more than double what Microsoft paid to scoop up Nokia.
It is rumored that Samsung may actually allow users to remove many of the apps that come with the S6. This would allow the phone to be faster and use less resources. Samsung will likely also remove much of the bloatware that comes with the phone, which also can’t be removed without rooting the phone. An XDA member noticed that the S6 Eddge had an option to uninstall some of these. This is a major improvement from Samsung!

Product Review

I have had every version of the Note series and was really excited to get the Note 4. Unfortunately I found myself wanting more with this iteration of the phone. Don’t get me wrong the phone is amazing! It just doesn’t offer enough over the Note 3.

The pen works a little better, it really is starting to feel like a real pen. It has a higher level of sensitivity from 1024 levels to 2048 giving you the ability to have more types of pen like a fountain pen. The pen can double as a mouse which is another great feature.

The camera is a little better but still could use a little work especially when it comes to motion. The forward camera is a big improvement for selfies at 3.7 MP.

I was expecting the screen to be amazing as it is 4K. Honestly I just can’t tell the difference from the Note 3. I was disappointing with this upgrade, though I am not sure how much better it can actually look. The screen is Super AMOLED with 515 ppi.

The USB 3.0 charger is gone and it is back to a standard Micro USB plug. However it comes with an adaptive fast charger, and it doesn’t let you down! A full charge only takes 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The usual bloatware still exists and is something Samsung really needs to review. There are rumors that the next version might not have this.

I couldn’t wait to root my new Note 4, but after doing this I found that S-Fit would constantly crash. This is probably the one thing that I hate about this phone. For those of you that want to go ahead and root your Note 4 check out: http://galaxynote4root.com/
