Get your own electronic personal pitching coach. The Radar Pitching Trainer measures pitch speed, calling balls and strikes and simulating at bats. The built-in radar displays pitch velocities from 20mph to 99mph and has a nine-quadrant strike zone for calling balls and strikes. It works at baseball, little league and fastpitch softball mound distances. The Trainer simulates both and at-bat and half inning and keeps track of cumulative pitch count, balls, strikes, outs and walks. This doormat is so ridiculous it’s redonkulous. Who would buy a “Like Us to Receive Special Offers…” doormat? A regular “like us” doormat, maybe I could see that for your business or geekhome but this one… not so much. Maybe there’s some humor in it but since our puny brains here at Craziest Gadgets world headquarters are unable to comprehend any comedy that’s not slapstick, we’re just not getting it. Swing Pong is a Moving Ping Pong Table

How can you make ping pong a little more challenging? Make the table move. That’s exactly what Robb Godshaw did with his Swing Pong table. Press one of the arcade style buttons on either side of the table and the whole table tilts from left to right just like you were on a boat. But that’s not all. One of the buttons makes the translucent table top flash a bright light, temporarily blinding your opponent (in theory). The video below demonstrates how it works sort of:

They really could have used a few shots of people actually playing on the table while tilting it. One thing is for certain with the Swing Table- you can’t play beer pong on it. (via gizmodo)

Frabjous Sculpture Puzzle

I like a good puzzle but this one looks pretty out there. The Frabjous Sculpture Puzzle definitely makes an attractive little geometric sculpture when it’s all put together. The problem is putting it together- it has 30 pieces….and they’re all the same:

You probably won’t be shocked to learn that this puzzle was designed by a mathematician from The Museum of Mathematics, named George Hart. It’s certainly a challenging puzzle but when you complete it (instructions are included, thank goodness) the result is definitely rewarding. It measures about 6 inches tall when assembled. Are you up for the challenge, mathlete?

Normally Apple’s closed architecture for the iPad doesn’t allow you to connect an external drive of any sort so you are stuck with the storage in the iPad. But with the Maxell AirStash Wireless Flash Drive you can stream music, movies, photos and documents to your iPad without a router or Internet service. The drive plugs into your computer to recharge (software free) and transfer files from the computer. A free app lets the drive work with your iPad (or iPhone) from up to 150 feet away.

It’s a streaming media library in your pocket. The drive allows up to 6 wireless devices to access it simultaneously and it has a slot for SD cards (8 GB one included) for virtually unlimited storage and quick viewing of photos from your camera. It will run for five plus hours on a single charge. It’s a simple (but slightly pricey) way to get more storage for your Apple devices.

I’m not sure if the Smart Phone Sleeper is the most ridiculous product ever or straight up pure genius. It basically takes a car-style flexible neck cell phone mount and makes it at least 5 times as long and with a big flat base. You can slip the base under your mattress, couch cushion, own buttocks, or just balance it on the floor.

Now you can use your phone hands-free in bed, just like that content looking scraggly dude on the iRock sheets above (and you do rock, dawg, you really do). Retail is about $35 each. Sure it’s probably good for watching movies on your phone but it just looks so odd because it’s so much larger than the device. I don’t know about this one. What do you think?

This colorful utensil set has a neat little trick to keep your kitchen more organized and free up counter space- the utensils nest together and stand upright. The Magnetic Nesting Utensil set has a spatula, ladle, pasta strainer, slotted spoon and solid spoon. Each is made of silicone with a magnet at the very top of the handle, allowing them to stack upright and be accessible yet taking up a small amount of precious counter space.

Like a rainbow of kitchen utensils. Once you use them for a while, you will quickly be able to identify which utensil is which by color. Very bright and cheery and just $25 for the set of five.

Plants vs. Zombies Lamp Uses a Moving Zombie for a Switch

You are probably familiar with the popular Plants vs. Zombies game and now you can take the game offline with a Plants vs. Zombies Lamp from Brando. Now sure, you could just have a boring lamp with zombie and plant figures on it, or you could get this cool lamp that reacts to your placement of the moveable figure. If the animated gif (and who doesn’t love a good animated gif btw?) above didn’t explain it, how about the video below:

Ok, how about words then? The zombie works like a magnetic light switch for the lamp. If you put the magnetic base zombie in front of the plants the plant lights turn on. Move it closer to the plants and the plant lights turn off. Take the zombie off the base and the whole thing shuts off. Yes I’m aware the video shows something kinda different but it’s a $15 lamp from Brando, so logic and sense isn’t always exactly in the cards here. Basically move the zombie around to turn the lamp on. Cool stuff.
