Hugs & Wishes Dry Embossing

Another swap card, this one uses Hugs & Wishes, Seeing Spots, On the Spot BG, and coordinating CB template for dry embossing.

Colors: Groovy Guava, Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Whisper White. Take with Teal Craft Ink. I do not know about anyone else but I love this color combo!

Accessories: Circle punches, Circle Rhinestone Brads - Ice, Embossing Stylus and Light Table

It took a while to do the dry embossing but it is a really neat effect in person!

Baroque Motifs Preorder

Life has been busy, in a good way. Finally getting around to posting some of my latest designs.

This sample uses Baroque Motifs and Trimtastic sets.
Colors: Not Quite Navy, Soft Sky, River Rock
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, circle rhinestone brads - ice, HP hardware antique brass, crafter's tool kit.

I did the focal point by stamping on River Rock, also stamped on Soft Sky and cut that one out to layer it on RR. There are 4 layers on that piece. Took a while to finish all those for swaps!

"Beauty" of Cracked Glass

I made this card for a technique swap. I wanted to do cracked glass because it makes for a really interesting center piece!

Because I used Very Vanilla CS & Glassy EP, Bordering Blue cardstock did not quite match my image. So, I brayered BB ink onto VV CS for the layer under the image and the brad.

The little tab with the sentiment is actually done using the Designer Label Punch (rest of the punched piece is hidden under the mattes).

Office Accoutrement Sneak Peek

I love this set! As a demo, I was able to pre-order this set before it is available for purchase. I love all the little (and big) images in the set.

I used the Notations DS paper, which coordinates with OA. I just love that design with the flowers - that provided the color scheme for the card.

To make this card (for a demo swap), I stamped and cut out 13 of each color flower - whew! The inner flowers were much easier. I stamped the small flower from the OA set and punched it out using part of the Spring Bouquet Punch. I did alternate colors with white behind.

For an extra little accent I used the Round Tab punch for "Important message" and the Spiral Punch along the side.

Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware was used in the center of the Taken with Teal flower and on the side. I removed part of the Hodgepodge Hardware piece to get something a little different. I took off the "jump ring", or at least I think that's what it is called!

I omitted "Daily Notes" with an Old Olive marker to get those little flowers and used Taken w/ Teal with Much Appreciated set for my sentiment.

Here's a new set all SU! demos got for free! Wow, what a great surprise, plus it is in the Spring Mini Catalog!

Finally got around to making some cards with it. I love this card by scrapstampindiva (Kendra Giles) and CASED the layout and use of Linen BG. For the flower, I "stamped-off" then inked up the top for a two-toned look.

More Delight in SAB

Please forgive the poor quality of this image, but I was in a rush to get this card out for my swaps. It took a lot of time cutting out all those little flowers! Ha ha! I am working on tweaking this design and possibly submitting it for a contest, so I hope to have another version to post later.

Starting Out

Well, here I am, starting out my little blog. I am pokey so it takes me a while to get new projects together. In the mean time, here is a card I am fond of. Strikes me as a little "shabby chic" - a style I love!

I created this card for my Mom's b-day. I masked the main flower image and stamped over it with the Linen BG. I really love that look! I watercolored the image and cut out a piece for the embellishment. On the birthday label I hand-wrote "wishes"
