Reflexology helps to restore balance to the body and it’s many systems by applying direct finger pressure to specific points on the feet (and often the hands and ears). As I press or “reflex” these different points, a wave of energy/information travels through the body to the brain and, in-turn, the intelligence of your body sends the appropriate response for achieving balance and healing.

Reflexology is considered an ‘energetic’ therapy as it works primarily with the meridians of the body. It also works very closely with the nervous system and the lymphatic system. By keeping these channels of energy and information open and flowing, we allow our bodies the opportunity to restore and/or maintain balance. It’s different than massage in that it works specifically with all of the internal organs and systems of the body, not just the superficial layers of the body.
