Yesterday my geography was much improved much time was wasted in our home by Geo Guessr. A simple website that shows you a photo from a googlemap that could be anywhere in the world and you have to try and identify it. You get points decided by how close you are. It’s simple but fascinating, you find yourself looking for the strangest specific clues and making sweeping judgements all at once. In the time it took to read this, you could be trying it for yourself. Go here - it’s very simple. In no time at all you will be getting Botswana confused with Australia just like me.

Design matters. New York City have adopted a updated design of the all too familiar icon used to depict facilities for the handicapped. Due to activists from activists at Gordon College, a small Christian institution in eastern Massachusetts, things have changed. The figure is no longer static, or passive, but shows action and therefore independence. Familiar enough that it’s instantly recognizable but with subtle differences that say so very much. Sometimes it really is all about the packaging – how something is presented can influence how we think about it. This butterfly tea bag is the perfect example. It changes the tea from something you may grab and go, to something you would savor, share and relish. Imagine the magic that this would bring to a child or a wedding, or just a simple summer day in the garden with a book. See how simply packaging something differently has made me start thinking this way. I love it. What in your business could you package a different way? I’ve been using square as a card reader for my ipad since it first came out and I think this new retail stand is much needed. It has an integrated card reader and swivels for your customers to sign.
