Flu symptoms were more or less gone this morning. Well less bad at least. I wore a pair of red pants I made in the fall as I went fabric shopping this afternoon. (As well as vintage booties, vintage Ray Ban Cats, Kate Spade bag, Michael Kors coat bought for $40!)

This is what I came home with! Some for myself, some for others. All vintage fabrics from the 60s and 70s.
The cold is back. I'm blogging from bed. Woke up with flu symptoms this morning.... Ugh. So the hand made item I'm wearing today is my grandmother's knitted socks. I might feel yucky but my feet are warm!

Today is all about Advil, Vietnamese Chicken Pho and old issues of Vogue.

5/31: Me Made March

This is what I wore to our 4 year City Hall wedding anniversary dinner (we have another "real" wedding anniversary coming up next month).

The dress is made from a 1960s McCall's pattern in a fabric I got on sale for $2/yard a few weeks ago.

(Psst, the pattern was a duplicate of a pattern currently on sale in my Etsy shop...)

Today's hand made item is the apron I was wearing while making dinner. It used to belong to a friend's mother and she made it from fabric remnants. It's so well made and I love wearing it while cooking! It really calls for a more glamourous outfit but the current weather conditions doesn't really allow that...
Tomorrow is date night! I promise to wear something smashing!
