Over 400 delegates from across a range of sectors gathered at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre 25-27 February for three unique days of exploration, discussion and debate of pertinent issues in the context of the development of Creative Scotland.

Audio downloads of speakers' presentations will be available in due course.

Cutting across all three days were these key themes:

The Impact of the Arts
Innovation and New Artistic Practice
Engagement and Participation

Impact was highlighted on Day 1; Innovation on Day 2; and Participation on Day 3

Chairing the respective days were Brian Taylor, Political Editor, BBC Scotland, Janice Forsyth, writer and broadcaster, and Sheena McDonald, journalist and broadcaster.

Gerry Hassan, Associate of Demos, writer, researcher, policy analyst and broadcaster fulfilled the role of ‘provocateur’ across the three days, actively engaging delegates in challenging thinking around the key themes.

An exciting and high profile line-up of influential keynote speakers provided inspiration and food for thought.

New Media Scotland invited delegates to join them in a little collective writing based around the Summit. 'Set to Silent' was a playful exchange of critical dialogue between a guest writer and the conference attendees, using the web and mobile phones and is available to read on the twitter website.
