I love how it’s starting to get warmer. It’s almost pool time and barbeques will be frequent, and we can sit on some melamine tableware while eating some blackened goods. This makes me happy, but sad at the same time. Once summer truly comes in June, the days get shorter again. Less time to do all the summery things. Then it gets all cold again, and, well…in Michigan, it gets much colder than in Cali.

And that makes me sad. *sigh*

As a gamer, I use a voice chat program to communicate with others around the world. The problem is that my mic is being a little pain in the neck. So I need to invest in a new one eventually. So I found a shure microphone wireless and thought it would be perfect…until I realized that it wouldn’t work at all since it’s a mic for singing. Well. That’s the last time I do research while half asleep.

Spam bots are getting smarter and smarter.

They can almost fool you with their semi-on-topic comments now.

I went through my spam tab on this site and found 46 comments that needed approving. Sometimes real comments [i]can[/i] be tossed in there by accident, so it’s good to check it every once in a while. Most of the time, it’s real spam. But some of the stuff I get is just epic. What makes it epic? Because if I didn’t look at the email addresses, I would’ve approved spam!

And we don’t want that.

So spam bots are pretty damn smart anymore. But Akismet is smarter.

I learned that raising a kid is an emotional rollercoaster. Some days are oodles of fun and other days full of frustration. Money is a huge frustration in raising kids. If you’re short on cash, you can call an accountant raleigh, but if you can’t manage it, you’ll be royally screwed. I admit that I’m not the best with money, but believe it or not, I used to be worse.

But yeah.

The other day, we had the windows open in our house. We closed it during the night, but when I was on the computer that night, we had a small moth infestation. By “small”, I mean a single brave moth came into the house. Scared the living hell out of me, especially since it was dark. But I didn’t see it again after that. So I thought it was over.

My fiance was at his computer and the moth came back and scared the crap out of him too. But he eventually met his fate, possibly with a foot. I saw his carcass near the kitchen and cleaned him up.

Moral of the story? Don’t scare my family, it’ll kill you.
