Australia will like to win this match as well and make them comfortable for the final of tri-series. India would love win this match and bring cheer to the fans. India has gained some pride in the Australia's tour after winning the 2nd T20. After the disastrous 4 test and 1 T20 loss, India want to make a new start marking the T20 as the beginning. India has a solid young team for the ODI format and wants them to perform and prove that the world cup win was not because of home advantage. Australia have now retained their no.1 ranking in ODI cricket after a forgetful World cup.

Australia have dropped Shaun Marsh after his poor run in the test series. Matthew Wade is most likely to get the role of opener and a wicket-keeper.

Australia have already won the 4-match test series against India and are willing for a 4-0 whitewash. Indian cricket team which ruled at home failed yet another time in the foreign soil. The 4th test at Adelaide Oval is going to be the last chance to retain some pride. Though the venue has been relatively favorable for India, the 1-match ban for Dhoni is a big setback. Virender Sehwag will lead the team in the match.

After Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag has become the second player in ODI cricket to get a double hundred. However, Sehwag has become the highest scorer in an inning of ODI. He achieved this feat on the 4th ODI against West Indies at Indore on 8th December, 2011.

Sehwag took 140 balls to make his double hundred smashing 6 sixes and 22 fours. The match is still on with Sehwag not out on 201 runs . There is a great chance of Sehwag becoming the first player to score more than 250 runs in an ODI inning.

India have already announced the test squad for their upcoming Australia tour. The team will be touring Australia for our tests which will be followed by tri-series between Australia, India and Sri Lanka. You can check-out the fixtures here. After the two practice matches, first test will be on Boxing day (26 Dec) at MCG.

MS Dhoni (capt & wk), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Virat Kohli, R Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron, Rohit Sharma, Pragyan Ojha, Praveen Kumar, Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Zaheer Khan (subject to fitness)

Indian captain MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar will join the team after their res from ODI series against West Indies. Sill no Yuvraj and Harbhajan in the side whereas Zaheer Khan is under the probable. Khan's fitness will be checked in Ranji Trophy matches.

R Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha got their place in the team after their heroic performance in the home against West Indies. As only two-spinners could travel to play in Aussie pitch, Harbhajan couldn't make his place. Wriddhiman Saha is taken as the reserve Wicket-Keeper in the series. Suresh Raina couldn't manage his place on the side whereas leg-spinner Rahul Sharma also axed from the side. Sharma was called for WI series but didn't got chance in any matches.

India defeated West Indies by one wicket with 7 balls remaining. Thanks to Rohit Sharma who made the team win the match scoring 72 runs of 99 balls. Chasing a target of 112, the last wicket for India - Aaron and Umesh Yadav made a nervous partnership of 11 runs.

WI : 211/9 in 50.0 overs
India : 213/9 in 49.5 overs
India won by 1 wicket.

West Indies earlier managed 211 runs thanks to 60 runs by man in form - Darren Bravo. Indian spinners especially R Ashwin bowled really well. In reply India had a poor start. One stage India were 59/5 loosing most of their experienced batsmen. It was the partnership of Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja which then took to team to 142/6. Finally it was a nervous show but India managed a win a last making the 5-match ODI series 1-0.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar are called for rest in the ODI series against the West Indies at home. The duo are rested before the Australia series, which means Virender Sehwag will lead the team against WI.

On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh is still out of the team. Leg-spinner Rahul Sharma was included in the team with R Ashwin and Jadeja. With the good performances in the test, Pragyan Ojha still could not manage he place in the side. Yuvraj Singh has himself called off the squad due to his fitness.
