England won the toss and chose to field first. The decision was perfect as in the beginning of the inning, England took 3 wickets in just 8 runs. Australia was clearly under pressure when lost 3 wickets in just 8 runs. The only hope for Australia was Clarke, White and Hussey. David Hussey played really well and put Australia in manageable condition. At the end Australia finish with 147 runs on board. From England Sidebottom took 2 wickets. Swann bowled really well just giving 17 runs in 4 overs.

Australia was as always started with fight back attitude and took first England wicket at just 7 runs. Match was getting exciting as they got first wicket early. But all hopes went down by outstanding second wicket partnership of 111 runs from Kieswetter (63) and Pietersen (47). Finally collingwood played a winning stroke and put England in the victorious position with 3 overs left.

England won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20. Kieswetter won the man of the match award and Pietersen was awarded with man of the series award for his outstanding performance with bat in the tournament.

Day started with Australia winning the toss and elected to field first. Pakistan, the current world champions, played really well and made Australia thinking about their decision of taking the fielding first. Akmal Bothers, Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal, played amazing innings of 50 of 34 and 56 of 35 respectively and led Pakistan towards strong score of 191 for 6. Australian bowling was not at all good as they give 20 extra runs and no bowler was so impressive.

In the second innings it was turn of Australia. The start was not so impressive as they lose 2 wickets in just 26 runs. Also the top order failed to make a big partnership and Australia lost their 5 wickets in just 105 runs. At time it was clearly assumed by viewers that Pakistan was on the winning path. But suddenly White and Mike Hussey changed the way of the match and knocked very quick 43(31) and 60(24) respectively to lead Australia to final.

But it was the day of Mike Hussey. In last over Australia needed 18 runs to win, the atmosphere was tense on Australian side. On first ball Johnson got single and Mike Hussey was on strike now. Then the miracle happened and the bomb called “Mike Hussey” blasted on Pakistan team. Hussey made 22 runs in just 4 balls and Australia won the high drama match. Later Mike Hussey declared the man of the match for his outstanding performance.

Now on Sunday it is Australia v England in ICC World T20 2010 final. As per today’s performance no doubt Australia favorites for winning the final but you can never say as this is Cricket!

Australia is till now the best team in the tournament as it has never lose a single match. It has strong batting line up as well as strong bowling attack. Also they have die hard attitude of winning. In compare to South Africa, Australia always gets more concentrated and sharp when it comes to important matches like semi-final or final. Also it has won all the matches in tournament so they have really a great edge over Pakistan.

Pakistan, current t20 world champions, has not done anything impressive in this tournament except entering to semi-final by luck. It has only won 2 matches out of 5 that clearly show the effort level it has given to enter into semi-finals. Though it has one of the best players in the cricketing history, Shahid Afridi, his performance in this tournament is not up to mark.

This match will be very much interesting and whoever wins will enter the final and play against England for the championship trophy.

Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first but unfortunately England’s bowlers smashed on to Sri Lankan team and grabbed 4 wickets for just 47 runs. AD Mathews, who came to help Sri Lanka with his superb knock, made 58 runs in 45 balls. All England bowlers where tough to play and almost every bowler took a wicket except MH Yardy.

With the target of 129 runs, England got a very slow start and made only 6 runs from first 2 overs. Finally Kieswetter and Lumb started to knock Sri Lankan bowlers and made 39 from 29 balls and 33 from 26 balls respectively. They give 68 runs first wicket partnership to England which was a pillar for England innings. Collingwood was not able to show his magic today. The real magician was Pietersen who made 42 runs in just 26 balls and England had very easy victory in just 16 overs. Broad from England got Man of the match award for his outstanding bowling performance 2 for 21.

So finally England enters into the final and let’s wait for today who wins the battle between Australia and Pakistan. Whoever wins the final will be more interesting as it would be the clash of titans.

Semi-finals will be played among England, Sri Lanka, Australia and Pakistan. Today there is first semi-final taking place between England and Sri Lanka. So far both the teams have played really nice in the tournament, but England takes more credit than Sri Lanka based on the performance.

England has entered semi-final with easy wins in super 8 matches. It has never entered a global ICC tournament final since 2004, so this time it will try to win this semi-final by keeping Sri Lanka aside. Till now it has been a superb opening pair, which has done really well in till date matches. Also Kevin Pietersen and Eoin Morgan have played really well at the middle order throughout the tournament.

On the other side Sri Lanka has struggled really hard to get into semi-final. Last match with India was so much tensed for them as they won on the last ball of the match. Of course Indian team was not at all to their capabilities. Mahela Jayewardene and Kumar Sangakkara both have showed their capabilities of playing really well throughout the tournament. Also Sri Lankan team has proved to win without them performing by the win over India.

So we can say the match will be much of excitements and lots of fun.

Yuvraj singh out of 1st ODI between India and Sri Lanka

One of the team source said that team management will give full opportunity to Yuvraj to play the 1st ODI. Also he said if the injury is much than it may take upto 3 weeks to recover that means Yuvraj may miss the whole one day series against Sri Lanka.

Earlier on saturday Yuvraj took 3 for 23 in 2nd Twenty20 against Sri Lanka. He also batted really well scoring 60 off 25 balls which includes five sixes, which led India to easy win by chasing 207 whith five balls to spare.
