The French newspaper Le Parisien reports

Maud, Bastien’s five-year-old sister, told Fidelio, the husband of a neighbor, that it wasn’t the first time that her father put the little boy in the machine. Sometimes, he locked his son inside for two hours to punish him.

The boys grandmother called Bastien an “unwanted child.” She reported that on the day of Bastien’s birth, the boy’s father, Christophe, was drinking with his friends and told her he didn’t want the child.

The toddler died of head injuries. Police charged Christophe Champenois, Bastien’s father with murder of a minor in Meaux, France. The man’s wife has also been arrested for non-assistance of a person in danger.

Disturbing photos, allegedly of Mayor Eric Brewer, are being circulated around the world via the internet, days before a primary election decides the outcome of the mayor’s race in East Cleveland. The photos show the man in very seductive poses wearing lingerie, a wig and lipstick. In one photo his man-boobs are exposed. In the photos the man is bending all over furniture with his butt all in the air, taking snap portraits, and some photos are very x-rated.

“While I am not and will not authenticate any of the pictures, since it appears as if they and the e-mails my opponent has caused to distributed are personal in nature, the fact is they are embarrassing to our city,” Brewer said.

If anyone read the previous blog posting, the details of the crime were horrendous. It was very difficult as a mother to write such details. I thought and still think about my children and the importance we share as parents to hold our children close. We have the responsibility to ensure that monsters such as George, David, and Peggy Edenfield don’t walk around on our streets with our children.

The jury found Edenfield guilty on all counts: Kidnapping, Murder, Enticing a child for indecent purposes, False imprisonment, Cruelty to children, Aggravated child molestation, Child molestation, Concealing the death of another person, and tampering with evidence. The sentencing phase of the trial is now under way

COLLINS: “The New York Times” has revealed the woman at the center of the Eliot Spitzer sex scandal. CNN has not independently confirmed her identity, but our Veronica de la Cruz surfing the Web to learn more about Ashley Alexandra Dupre, AKA “Kristen.”
Veronica, good morning to you.

VERONICA DE LA CRUZ, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning to you, Heidi.
You know, we’ve been looking at Dupre, who “The New York Times” is saying is “Kristen.” And here’s what we found on her MySpace page. She calls herself a pop, R&B and soul singer. At top of her page she’s posted some of her music, a song called “What We Want.” Take a listen.

DE LA CRUZ: Now flipping through her pictures, Heidi, we see her, as she says she is, quote, “passed out in Las Vegas,” also vacationing in Saint-Tropez. She is currently living in Manhattan, but by reading her profile she says she’s lived all over. New York by way of New Jersey, North Carolina, Miami, Virginia and Austin, Texas. On her MySpace page she says, “I live in New York and am on top of the world. Been here since 2004 and love this city. I love my life here, but my path has not been easy. When I was 17, I left home. It was my decision, and I’ve never looked back.” She goes on to say how she’s dealt with drugs, abuse and has found herself at times homeless.

COLLINS: Well, I imagine the site is getting a whole lot of attention and traffic now this morning, right?

DE LA CRUZ: Yes, you know, when I logged on this morning I would say there were probably a little less than two million hits. Now about 4.1 million.
COLLINS: Wow.

DE LA CRUZ: I would say it’s averaging about 5,000 hit as minute, Heidi.

COLLINS: Holy cow.

DE LA CRUZ: Right now looking at her page, she has about 1,800 friends, including Madonna, Whitney Houston, and then she says when it comes to her musical influences, she’s listed her brother, singer Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Patsy Cline.
And, Heidi, not only is Web traffic growing on her MySpace page, friends have been logging on, posting notes.

COLLINS: Yes. Well, because she’s “famouser.”

HARRIS: Does she have a reality show yet?

COLLINS: Well, not yet.

According to police officials the victim had “visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.”

According to TMZ Brown is currently being questioned by detectives. There are rumours that Rihanna is at Cedars seeking treatment for various injuries. If the police are investigating Chris Brown for FELONY domestic violence, I am assuming (sometimes not a good thing) that she must have incurred some pretty serious injuries or the police were really pissed off when they found out that Chris Brown would hit such a beautiful woman as her.
