Remember the earliest days of cable? It was certainly a revolutionary feeling, to toss aside the rabbit-ear antennas for good and watch everything in stunning clarity.

Then the high definition era came along, and poor cable has seemed like a dinosaur ever since. The HD difference was applied with great success to all sporting events, but movies may have come out on top right beside the big games and title fights. Who knew that movies could look like that on television?

February is a slow month in a number of ways. The Super Bowl has its day and football season ends; lovers celebrate their relationships on Valentine’s Day; and winter grinds out its final months. It’s certainly a good time to check on what else is included in your DIRECTV subscription.

What I don’t like is dealing with small movies recorded years ago on those old video cameras :D. But now there is a solution for cleaning/fixing your movies.

Here is how they explain the need of video restoration:

The average video tape is 15 years old and has a resolution of 240 horizontal lines. Today, the average Standard Definition (SD) TV has over 500 lines of resolution while a High Definition (HD) TVs have 1080 lines of resolution. 

If you have a high resolution SD or HD TV and have tried to play a 15 year old video tape then you are already aware of the issue with transferring you video tape to DVD without any improvement. The TV has to "blow up" the 240 line resolution image from the video tape without any quality improvement. This is like taking a 4×6 photo and blowing it up to a poster size of 16×24. It will look very grainy (see below). Simply transferring video tapes without improvement is unacceptable. You wont be happy at all when you play your DVD on your SD or HD TV.

Their video restoration techniques include the following: Scratch/Noise Elimination, Exposure Correction, Color Correction.

Asadar, concluzionand, nu o sa mai dau pe aici. Ma mut. Ma duc in alta parte. Intr-un loc unde totul va fi altfel [cred].
