WELCOME HOME SERIES

There are some key practices that are characteristic to Christianity such as prayer, generosity, and corporate worship. One practice that’s often overlooked however, is the practice of hospitality. Hospitality is essential to what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Why? Because our God is a welcoming God. Our desire as a church has always been to be outward faced and inclusive of all. Especially to those who are in the margins of our lives. During the month of September we will journey together through different passages of Scripture desiring to learn what it means to be a welcoming church family in Miami. Come, all are welcomed.

GOSPEL COMMUNITIES

Sunday, September 21st @9am & 11am

One of the main ways God identifies with us in the Bible is as our Father. We are His children. This means that we are a family. It is in Gospel Communities that we become this family. These are smaller groups that meet in peoples homes throughout the week. We eat together, pray together, study the Bible, and get to know each other.  We care for each others needs and the needs we see in our city. We learn what it means to be on mission. It’s here that we get to really be the church. It’s here where we learn how to be disciples who make disciples. If you want to experience joy and grow deeper in your faith it happens in community that is founded on the Gospel.

On September 21st we will be starting a 4 week long class that will set up how we do community and why. They will be held during the 2 services on Sunday mornings. If you go to the 1st service you can attend the class during the 2nd and vice versa. For more information and to sign up click here:

CROSSBRIDGE SIX YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Crossbridge Church, you’re getting older, our Pinecrest campus is turning six! Please make a point to celebrate and party with us Sunday, September 14th, at either one of our PINECREST worship services (9am & 11am). It’ll bee EPIC! Our story has been nothing shy of exciting and we want to share with you and your family all of the many God-stories that have shaped us into the community we are today. Plan to celebrate with us either respective worship service. Plenty of food, fun, activities for the whole family. It’ll be one huge party!

WHY? A series on Job

One thing that we can all be certain in this life is that we will suffer. It is natural that when we suffer that we ask the question… Why? “Why me? Why them? Why this? Why now?” During the month of August, we will take a close look at the book of Job. The book of Job is an ancient piece of literature that possesses a rich narrative and plot that can help us cope well with the “why” question. If you desire to learn how to grow in wisdom, joy, and hope in the face of pain or help others while in pain, join us in one of our three locations as we journey together through Job.

Grace does not excuse godliness. Much to the contrary, grace fuels godliness and good works. The letter written by Paul to a young leader by the name of Titus is an example of this truth. Paul is calling Titus to lead well within the parameters of grace so that godliness is produced in the lives of the Cretan believers. Even though this letter was originally written to a pastor, it’s applicable to all since we are all called to exercise godly influence in the lives of others. During the month of July we will be journeying through this short epistle, so join us and don’t forget to bring someone along with you to one of our 3 Miami locations.

A blessed year so far

The first half of 2014 has been a true blessing for all of those who call Crossbridge Church their family. The successful launch of our Miami Springs location, and Easter Sunday that gathered nearly 900 people across our 3 locations, and the many baptisms that have taken place this semester are tangible evidences that God continues to work through our church community. Please know that in whatever capacity you are involved, you play an important role in all that’s taking place.

Our hope is that, as you remain faithful to the covenant of living on mission together with us, God would continue to do infinitely greater things this Fall. At Crossbridge we believe that the best is always yet to come.

We ask that as you take the summer to travel, rest and decompress alone or with family, you would not forget our budgetary needs at Crossbridge. If you happen to be gone a weekend, please know that you can always give online by going to the Giving page on our website. When you do, please don’t forget to select the church location where you are plugged in.

Saturday, July 19th from 10-12pm, Crossbridge Miami Springs is providing a training for awareness of sex trafficking and abuse of minors. We’re inviting two local non-profit organizations, Kristi House &  Sharing One Love, to bring awareness of how this injustice is happening in our own city and what we can do as individuals and as a community to put an end to it.
