Sheikh Jassim withdrew his offer to buy Man Utd

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Sat, 14 Oct 2023 18:15:00 +0000

Sheikh Jassim has held further discussions with the Glazer family to acquire 100% of Manchester United.

Sheikh Jassim's proposal was again rejected by the Glazer family.

As a result, Sheikh Jassim informed the Glazers that he was prepared to withdraw from the process.

If the Glazers can reject almost 7 BILLION dollars from Sheikh Jassim, then it's likely they'll only accept a minority stake from Sir Jim Ratcliffe, which means the greedy Glazers get to stay.

Police arrested dozens of 'Free Palestine' protesters who gathered in New York, causing traffic jams

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Sat, 14 Oct 2023 12:12:00 +0000

On Friday, chants of "Free Palestine" rang out in New York as thousands of protesters took to the streets to denounce Israeli bombing in the Gaza Strip.

Demonstrators demanded an end to the "Israeli occupation" and the "liberation" of the Palestinian territories, occupying several blocks in the city, which is a crossroads for religions and nationalities from around the world.

The youth-led protests included demonstrators from all backgrounds, some carrying Palestinian flags and keffiyeh, and accused Israel of "genocide". and called on the United States to withdraw aid to allies in the Middle East.

Hamas militants in Gaza broke through a heavily militarized border into Israel on Saturday, killing more than 1,300 people, mostly civilians, in an attack that compares to 9/11 in the United States.

Israel responded with heavy rocket attacks on populated areas, killing at least 1,900 Gazans. Again, the majority were civilians, including more than 600 children. Thousands of people are seeking refuge in the southern Gaza Strip after Israel warned it expected a ground attack.

Professor Riz Zachariah, who attended the march, said: "I'm very concerned that this has to stop."

Zakaria, whose father is from Jerusalem, said "Israel's settler-colonial program must end immediately," adding that it is increasing the "cycle of violence" and "oppression of Palestinians." He added that there is.

Demonstrators chanted "Palestine will be free from the river to the sea," a slogan some Jewish groups say calls for the destruction of Israel and is anti-Semitic.

Supporters of the slogan say it calls for equal rights for Palestinians and Israelis.

Dozens of protesters were arrested Friday night in Brooklyn after holding a sit-in that blocked traffic after demonstrating in front of the home of Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who is scheduled to visit Israel with a congressional delegation. It was done. The protests, called by the Jewish Voice for Peace organization, called on elected officials to "stop the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza" and were held in large numbers in front of a heavy police presence. demonstrators gathered.

Those arrested included two elected officials, a rabbi, and a descendant of Holocaust survivors.

About 200 pro-Palestinian demonstrators also gathered in the South American city of Miami.

There was heavy police presence at the protest, maintaining distance from the dozens of pro-Israel demonstrators across the street.

Anas Amir, a 51-year-old businessman and son of Palestinian immigrants, said it was a criminal war and wrong to respond to the killing of innocent people in Israel with "a new massacre in the Gaza Strip." .

``I believe it is my duty, not only as a Muslim, but as a human being, to ensure that everyone comes forward about the crimes that the Israeli occupation has committed against the Palestinian people,'' said 21-year-old Laiba Faias. "I'm working on it," he said. . A 1-year-old New York protester. "No one realizes the extent of the destruction they have caused to innocent people," she added.

New York, which has the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, has been the site of numerous demonstrations in support of the Palestinian cause, as well as vigils and demonstrations in solidarity with Israeli victims of Hamas attacks.

Israeli ground forces enter Gaza after days of airstrikes

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Sat, 14 Oct 2023 11:58:00 +0000

The Israeli military on Friday announced its first ground invasion of the Gaza Strip since airstrikes on Palestinian cities began.

The military said in a statement Friday that troops had entered the Gaza Strip to fight insurgents, destroy weapons and search for evidence of missing Hamas hostages.

This announcement appears not to have been the start of a ground invasion of Gaza, as had been expected. Israel has kept troops on its border with the Gaza Strip since last Saturday's deadly invasion by Hamas militants.

SaharaReporters previously reported that thousands of Palestinians have begun fleeing from the northern Gaza Strip to the southern Gaza Strip seeking refuge after Israel warned of expected ground attacks against Hamas in the ongoing displacement war. Ta. It was also reported that the Israeli military has warned 1.1 million residents of the northern Gaza Strip to evacuate their homes, as Israel will step up retaliatory attacks against Hamas following last Saturday's sudden terrorist attack.

Gaza is already one of the most densely populated areas in the world. More than 2 million people live in an area of 140 square miles.

Israel's evacuation warning came after armed Hamas militants breached the heavily militarized border around the Gaza Strip and killed more than 1,300 people, most of them civilians, in nearby Israeli settlements.

If the records are made public, serious and irreparable harm will occur to Mr. Bola Tinubu

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Sat, 23 Sep 2023 05:49:00 +0000

President Bola Tinubu has implored a US judge to protect himself from serious and irreversible harm by suspending his recent order requiring the release of university records in an emergency.

Mr Tinubu said he could not mitigate the damage he would incur unless the September 6 order ordering the publication of academic papers against former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was postponed to allow for possible leave. .

"If the records are made public, serious and irreparable harm will occur to Mr. Bola Tinubu," Tinubu's lawyers wrote in an emergency appeal before Judge Nancy Maldonado of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago. he claimed.

Mr Tinubu's lawyer added during the court hearing that began at 3pm that damage would be done if the records were made public and cannot be put back in the bottle. Through a conference call. Chicago State University was ordered today to release documents to Mr. Abubakar.

The ongoing hearing aims to suspend the order before it takes effect in about an hour. At issue was a subpoena request submitted by Mr. Abubakar to obtain Mr. Tinubu's papers at Chicago State University after major discrepancies with the Nigerian president's academic record, which had already been made public.

Mr. Abubakar's application was granted on Tuesday by Mr. Gilbert's judgment, which ordered the production of documents and statements from school administrators.

Abubakar intends to use the record to prove Tinubu's ineligibility to run for president, citing a constitutional provision that disqualifies candidates who submit false certificates to polling agency INEC.

CSU officials claimed that Tinubu attended the school, but they also said they could not authenticate the certificate under oath because they could not say where he found it.

Mr. Tinubu initially argued that the documents should not be released to Mr. Abubakar because they would not hold up in Nigeria's highest court, and Mr. Abubakar has now released them as part of his appeal against the court's ruling that upheld Mr. Tinubu's election.Abubakar appealed to the Supreme Court on September 19, the same day Justice Gilbert ordered the CSU to release Tinubu's documents within two days.

However, when the 48-hour deadline expired on Thursday afternoon, Mr. Tinubu suddenly turned to Mr. Maldonado and requested an adjournment, stating that the desperate nature of the matter suddenly threatened to endanger Mr. Tinubu's life. The problem escalated.

Judge Maldonado then granted the request for a delay in document release and ordered all parties to submit their full briefs by September 25th.

This man invested $22 in Bitcoin when it launched and completely forgot about it

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Wed, 20 Sep 2023 14:26:00 +0000

Meet the man who invested $22 in Bitcoin when it launched and completely forgot about it.

Norwegian Kristoffer Koch was only 25 years old when Bitcoin was a completely new currency that no one really knew or understood.

Despite the risks and after being teased by his girlfriend for this frivolous purchase, Koch bought 5,000 Bitcoin for $22.

Years passed, Koch forgot about this investment and moved on with his life.

Behind the scenes, Bitcoin's value is increasing. When he recalls his $22 investment, four years have passed.

When he logged back in to check, the 29-year-old man's cryptocurrency wallet contained a lot of money.

In his cryptocurrency wallet, Koch now has a life-changing sum of $850,000.

Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that they would fly away like this,” he told local media in Norway.

“Strangely enough, these psychological reflexes cause us to attach a value to something that itself has no value.”

After discovering his small fortune, Koch used about a fifth of it to pay taxes and buy an apartment in Oslo. The rest he left reasonably untouched and is now even more valuable. While it may sound like a dream, it almost turned into a nightmare for the Norwegian when he couldn't remember the password to his cryptocurrency wallet.

Fortunately, after many failures, he finally succeeded.

But not everyone is equally lucky.

Stefan Thomas also fell into a similar situation. Thomas locked a staggering $240 million worth of Bitcoin in his cryptocurrency wallet, but unlike Koch, he had no chance of remembering his password.

The German-born programmer stored his Bitcoin on a hard drive, he had to try 10 times to find the password before it encrypted and locked him out forever.

As of today, he only has two more attempts to find his decades-old password before he loses his fortune.

Danny Masterson Wife Bijou Phillips files for divorce

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Wed, 20 Sep 2023 07:49:00 +0000

Bijou Phillips listed the estranged couple's separation date as "undetermined" in their legal documents and said it was "irreconcilable differences" that led to the end of their marriage. She is seeking spousal support, attorney's fees and her legal name changed back to Bijou Phillips. Bijou wants legal and physical custody of her 9-year-old daughter, and she intends to allow Danny visitation. Bijou Phillips has decided to end her marriage to Danny Masterson less than two weeks after he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for rape.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Bijou filed a motion in California state court on Monday to end the matter. Her attorney Peter A. Lauzon told TMZ, "Ms. Phillips has decided to file for divorce from her husband at this unfortunate time. Her priority remains her daughter."

He goes on to say: "This has been an unimaginably difficult time for our marriage and family. Mr. Masterson has always been there for Ms. Phillips during some of the most difficult times in her life. Ms. Phillips admits that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to his "daughter."

Bijou stood by Masterson throughout the rape trial and retrial... He was also present during the sentencing.

Danny was found guilty of two counts of rape in May, but her jury hung on the third count. He was first charged in 2020, and the three women said the incidents happened between 2001 and 2003.

Bijou and Danny have a daughter together, born in 2014...and Bijou was reportedly devastated by his conviction. In a letter referenced at the hearing, Bijou called Danny "a partner who saved my life."

As we reported, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis received a lot of heat for writing letters of support for Masterson, commenting on his personality and friendship with the actor. Following backlash, both parties apologized and Ashton resigned from his position at the child sex abuse organization he co-founded.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un donated body armor and a drone when leaving Russia

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Sun, 17 Sep 2023 20:05:00 +0000

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un received a bulletproof vest and a drone as a farewell gift after completing a visit to Russia, a move that alarmed Western countries.

The send-off capped an unusual six-day visit to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and raise the possibility that North Korea would provide weapons to Russia to support its invasion of Ukraine.

Kim rarely traveled abroad, received a generous welcome, and spent much of his travels touring military facilities. North Korea is under severe sanctions and needs everything from energy to food to military technology.

When he left, the governor of Primorsky Krai in Russia's far east gave him a bulletproof vest and a set of drones, Russian state media TASS reported. "This is a bulletproof vest with zones that protect the chest, shoulders, neck and groin and is much lighter than the known ones," the state news agency added.

TASS added that Kim was also presented with five suicide attack drones and 25 Geranium reconnaissance drones manufactured in the same region. An additional gift was a special set of clothing that was invisible to thermal imaging cameras. A video released by Russian state news agency RIA Novosti shows Kim boarding a private armored train and leaving Artyom station as Russian officials waved after a farewell ceremony with a red carpet and honor guard. It was being shown.

The train is expected to travel more than 200 kilometers (124 miles) from Artyom to the border town of Hasan, RIA said.

Marcus Rashford, curse or blessing

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Sun, 17 Sep 2023 10:03:00 +0000

Rashford is certainly one of the most prolific wingers in the Premier League, scoring 139 goals for club and country, but recently he has tended to lose form due to his selfish style of play.

He has played with Cristiano Ronaldo, Cavani, Ibrahimovic, Rooney and Kane and he still doesn't know that the role of a winger is to support his striker. Manchester City were the better team because their wingers created opportunities for attacking players and did not play selfishly like Marcus did.

Rasmus was in a good position to score, but instead of the Manchester United winger passing the ball to his striker, he became selfish and what was worse was his weak leg. Seriously, what is the job of a wingman.

Selfish Marcus failing to pass to Rasmus

I don't see Manchester United fighting for the Premier League title with this style of play and these selfish players.

Erik Ten Hagg should really change his tactics and stop picking fights with his players.

Cocaine is expected to overtake crude oil as Colombia's biggest export in 2022, with sales of $18.2 billion

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Fri, 15 Sep 2023 06:18:00 +0000

According to estimates from Bloomberg Economics, cocaine is poised to become Colombia's top export, ahead of oil, as drug output continues to rise and the government adopts a more lenient drug policy.

According to Bloomberg economist Felipe Hernandez, oil exports dropped 30% in the first half of the year and cocaine trade is on a steady upward trend, meaning cocaine could become Colombia's top export as soon as possible. this year.

“We estimate revenues from cocaine exports to increase to $18.2 billion in 2022, just behind oil exports of $19.1 billion last year,” Hernandez said in a note.

“The government is destroying the laboratories where coca leaves are turned into cocaine, but this does not prevent the expansion of production.”

Colombia's cocaine output hit a record 1,738 tons last year, while the area of land planted with coca, the raw material used to make the drug, increased 13% to a record 230,000 hectares (570,000 acres) in 2022 from with previous. year. according to a report from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime released this week.

Hernández said the increase in cocaine production had a short-term impact on activity, domestic demand and external accounts, but did not appear to be correlated with the performance of the Colombian peso. President Gustavo Petro, Colombia's first leftist leader, has changed the country's approach to drug trafficking, seeking to go after drug lords who profit more from selling drugs abroad. instead targeting coca leaf producers, who constitute the weakest link in production. chain. Petro seeks to negotiate with the country's major drug trafficking groups, hoping to end six decades of civil conflict through peace agreements.

The new drug policy approach is helping illegal groups increase cocaine production, Hernandez said.

Bloomberg Economics calculates export volumes as the difference between production and seizures, meaning the figure is likely lower as this calculation does not take into account domestic consumption and seizures in transit countries and destination, and estimate export prices by adjusting the methodology's average wholesale price. 2015-2018 prices and export prices with costs, insurance, and freight calculated by Andres Arias ((2019).

President Joe Biden's son Hunter was criminally charged with three counts of lying about firearm purchases after attempts to reach an agreement failed.

The charges mark the first time a child of a sitting president has been indicted, the BBC reported.

An agreement planned to resolve the gun and tax charges he faced suddenly fell apart in July.

All three charges relate to allegations that Biden lied on paperwork to purchase a firearm while under the influence of drugs.

He had previously admitted to the charges during negotiations over a failed plea deal. The younger Biden's legal issues have become an increasingly contentious topic in U.S. politics.

Bill Gates pushes for regulation of AI's 'endless' potential

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Thu, 14 Sep 2023 15:13:00 +0000

The co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, has encouraged governments and the private sector to work on regulating the use of Artificial Intelligence in order to achieve its full potential.

Gates spoke after attending a United States Senate ‘AI Insight Forum,’ held on Wednesday in the Capitol Hill, Washington DC, US.

He labelled AI as a ‘limitless’ technology, adding that, to reach its full potential, regulation is imperative to maximise its benefits and reduce its risks.

He said, “The potential of AI is limitless — but we will only realise that potential if government, the private sector and civil society work together to maximise the technology’s benefits and minimise its risks.”

The co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation stated that technological innovations are controlled whenever they pose threats.

“This is not the first time a major innovation has introduced new threats that had to be controlled. We’ve done it before.

“Whether it was the introduction of cars or the rise of personal computers and the Internet, people have managed through other transformative moments and, despite a lot of turbulence, come out better off in the end.

“Soon after the first automobiles were on the road, there was the first car crash. But we didn’t ban cars—we adopted speed limits, safety standards, licensing requirements, drunk-driving laws, and other rules of the road.”

He also urged private-sector AI companies to pursue their work safely and responsibly.

Some of the regulations suggested by Gates include “protecting people’s privacy, making sure their AI models reflect basic human values, minimising bias, spreading the benefits to as many people as possible, and preventing the technology from being used by criminals or terrorists.”

The Chairman of the United Kingdom’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency,Matt Clifford said, “There’s an enormous upside from this technology, but it’s essential that the world invests heavily and urgently in AI safety and control,” BBC reports.

Some of the attendees at the forum are Elon Musk, owner of X (formerly Twitter), Google’s Sundar Pichai, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, and Sam Altman from OpenAI.

Mexican Congress holds hearing on UFOs whose bodies are believed to be 'aliens'

noreply@blogger.com (damy) — Thu, 14 Sep 2023 08:40:00 +0000

Mexican lawmakers heard testimony that ``we are not alone'' in space and witnessed what was described as inhuman remains at the Latin American country's first extraordinary parliamentary hearing on UFOs. .

At Tuesday's public hearing on FANI (the Spanish acronym for what is now commonly referred to as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)), Mexican journalist and longtime UFO enthusiast Jaime Morsan said it was about an alien corpse. The two claimed artifacts were shown to politicians.

The specimen has no connection to life on Earth, Morsan said.

His two small "bodies" on display in a case have his three fingers on each hand and an elongated head. Mossan said they were recovered in 2017 near the old Nazca Lines in Peru. He said they are about 1,000 years old and were analyzed through a carbon dating process by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Similar discoveries have been made in the past, including the remains of mummified children.

Mr Morsan said it was the first time such evidence had been presented.

"I think there is clear evidence that we are dealing with non-human specimens that are unrelated to other species in our world. And I think all scientific institutions have this There is every opportunity to study this," Morthan said.

"We are not alone," he added. Jose de Jesús Zalce Benítez, director of Mexico's Naval Institute of Sciences and Health, said the remains had been subjected to X-rays, 3D reconstruction and DNA analysis. "We can confirm that these bodies have nothing to do with humans," he said.

UNAM on Thursday reissued a statement first issued in 2017 saying that the National Laboratory for Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (LEMA) research was only aimed at determining the age of the samples.

"In no case do we draw any conclusions about the origin of these samples," the statement said.

Lawmakers also heard from former U.S. Navy pilot Ryan Graves, who participated in the Congressional hearing, about his personal experience with UAPs and the stigma that comes with reporting such sightings. Rep. Sergio Gutierrez of President Andres Manuel López Obrador's ruling Morena party said he hoped the hearing would be the first of similar events in Mexico.

"We have considerations, concerns and ways to continue to talk about it," Gutierrez said.

In recent years, the U.S. government has pivoted to releasing public information about UAPs after decades of silence and distraction. The Pentagon has actively investigated reports of sightings by military aviators in recent years, but this is the first time the space agency has investigated UFOs by an independent NASA panel.

NASA plans to discuss the study results on Thursday. Mohsan faced intense backlash and criticism on Wednesday from skeptics who questioned the authenticity of his presentation.

"This could seriously damage efforts to take this issue seriously," said a user on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). "Why didn't you wait to publish until the scientific paper was complete?"

I Got It Lyrics by Pastor Mike, Jr.

[Intro]
Ayy I’m J!

I got it, I got it
We got it, we got it
Yeah, yeah

[Verse]
Jehovah Jireh
You been my provider
And You’re my rider
You’ve been with me through the fire
No worries ’cause You got me
Given’ up, not likely
No, the Devil can’t stop me
‘Cause I’m walking’ in my victory
Stay winning’ long as You’re with me

[Pre-Chorus]
Yeah, say this
You made a way (You made a way)
Out of no way (Out of no way)
You keep on blessing me (You keep on blessing me)
Every day (Every day)
Fight all my battles (Fight all my battles)
You save the day (You save the day)
That’s why we give You all the glory
Yeah
Let’s go

[Chorus]
Can’t nobody do me like You, Jesus (Can’t nobody do me like You, Jesus)
Can’t nobody do me like You, Lord (Can’t nobody do me like You, Jesus)
I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah
I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah (I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah)
I give You glory, I give You glory (I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah)
I give You glory, I give You glory (I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah)
It’s already mine (It’s already mine)

[Bridge]
Never alone, I can go to the throne
He’s right beside me
Hold my hand in the valley
Lost, but now you found me
Don’t know where I would be
Don’t know who I would be, yeah, yeah
Came through when I need Him
He’s a rider
All my haters, you know He be fightin’, yeah
I never had no one to stick beside me, yeah
And when it’s cold, I know He got that fire

[Pre-Chorus]
You made a way (You made a way)
Out of no way (Out of no way)
You keep on blessing me (You keep on blessing me)
Every day (Every day)
Fight all my battles (Fight all my battles)
You save the day (You save the day)
That’s why we give You all the glory
Yeah
Let’s go

[Post-Chorus]
I got it, I got it
You got it, you got it
We got it, we got it
It’s already mine (Already mine)

I got it, I got it
You got it, you got it
We got it, we got it
It’s already mine (Already mine)

[Outro]
Can’t nobody do me like You, Jesus (Can’t nobody do me like You, Jesus)
Can’t nobody do me like You, the Lord (Can’t nobody do me like You, Jesus)
I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah
I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah (I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah)
I give You glory, I give You glory (I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah)
I give You glory, I give You glory (I give You glory, I give You glory, yeah)
It’s already mine (It’s already mine)
It’s coming
It’s already mine (It’s already mine)
