It is hard to find space created for those who struggle with mental illness in today’s society. The stigma surrounding mental illness needs to be deconstructed to allow everyone to take up space in this world, and that starts with having conversations about it.

Let me tell you about my trauma! And I want to hear about yours. Yes, it can be uncomfortable. And it can be hard. But there are things we all can do to create a more accepting space for people who struggle with mental illness that will ultimately bring us all together.
