Saving is starting to become something many more of us think about. To make sure you are financially secure for your future, there are many wealth creation strategies you can use.

Ideally, combining several wealth creation strategies will offer you the best opportunity to putting your money to work for you. If you combine several strategies you can maximize your return while minimizing your risk.

Here is a list of some of the most commonly used methods to save for retirement and for overall wealth building:

1. IRA’s and 401k’s are two very common ways to put money away for retirement. When you put money into these two vehicles it is put away pre -tax. You don’t have to include the money you put into these accounts when figuring out your taxable income.

The money you place in these funds will then be invested in stocks and mutual fund. Hopefully, by investing in these underlying investments your retirement account will continue to grow tax free.

2. Investing directly in stocks and mutual funds. This is one of the most common ways of getting more savings for your retirement. Many people think that investing in the stock market is like gambling and that it is very risky.

3. Real estate. Again, many people will think investing in real estate is risky, but if you know what you are doing you will greatly reduce the risk.

There are a few ways to invest in real estate one of the most common is to buy rental properties and rent them out. This provides you with an ongoing cash flow. That cash flow than can be invested in still other ways to ensure it’s continual growth.

I personally feel it is a mistake to just turn your money over to some “professional” and hope for the best. I think it makes more sense to learn a few basic skills so you can be a partner in all wealth creation strategies. This is the best way to ensure your money grows the way you want it to.

4. Customer service. How accessible are the employees of the online bank if you should ever have a question or problem? Do they have help online or on the phone 24/7?

These are just a few of the things to consider before you choose the best online saving account for you. It might take a little time and effort on your part, but your money is worth the time.

If you get “greedy” and only look at the higher rate rather than the longer term and you find yourself in a situation where you need that money, and you will lose your higher interest anyway.

You have many choices not only in the amount you invest in your cd, the term but also what financial institution you get your cd from. You can check the rates and conditions at your local bank and credit union.

Money Market Savings Account

Today it seems that more and more people are taking more responsibility with their finances. One of the big changes we see is that many people are getting clear of debt and are trying to save more. One way they are saving more is to open a money market savings account.

But what is a money market savings account and how does it differ from a regular savings account or certificates of deposit?

Well, for one thing, a money market account is a form of savings that is not nearly as safe and secure as a traditional savings account.

With a traditional savings account your money is insured by the federal government up to a certain limit. You know it is safe. But it won’t earn you much in the way of interest.

A money market is when the bank takes the money you have deposited and invests it in the stock market. As you can imagine, there is the possibility that you can earn a lot more than you would with a traditional savings account, but there is also the very real risk that you can lose your money if the stocks that your money is invested in takes a dive.

Another big different between a traditional savings account and a money market account is the amount you will need for your opening balance.

Most savings account can be opened for around $100, but a money market will need between $1,000 and sometimes more in order to open the account. This might be yet another possible reason why a money market account is not right for you at this point in time.

A money market can be pretty liquid. Most banks will allow you around 5 or 6 withdrawals per month. Compared to a cd, for example, that is liquid. Of course the number of withdrawals you are allowed monthly will vary from one financial institution to another.

That is yet one more thing you will need to compare from one bank or credit union to another. With a money market account you are also allowed to write checks on the account. Though the number of checks you can write monthly is pretty limited, usually only 3 per month.

You will also be likely to get an ATM card with your money market. This makes it easier to get your money when you need it. Check with your bank to be sure, but generally any ATM transactions will be counted in your total number of allowed withdrawals.

Money markets will also require you to maintain a minimum balance. If your account ever gets below that amount you will be assessed a fee. Make sure you inquire as to what the minimum balance needs to be as well as what the fee will be if you fall below that point.

A money market savings account does have a lot of advantages but it comes with risks too. Make sure you ask questions so that you fully understand this type of savings vehicle.

Money Making Message Boards How To Make Money By Posting Online

Did you know you can make thousands of dollars every month just by posting in message boards? Message boards are an amazing source of traffic for just about any website, including your own. Read on to learn how to setup an affiliate website, choose a program and promote it using money making message boards.

Step #1  Choose an Affiliate Program

An affiliate program is a program that’ll pay you a certain percentage commission if they make a sale.

For example, if you find an online downloadable product, the commission might be 50%. If you send them a buyer, you’ll get 50% of the income.

The first step in this process is to choose an affiliate program. Find one that pays well and has a good, solid salesletter that you believe will sell.

Step 2  Create a Domain Level Redirect

That sounds complicated, but it’s actually not.

When you get your affiliate link, it’ll often look something like this:

As you can tell, it looks quite unprofessional and is obviously an affiliate link. Instead, you can buy a domain name and make that domain automatically redirect. For example, you can make it so that whenever someone goes to www.marketingtips.com, they automatically go to your affiliate link.

To do that, first buy a domain name. Then in the control panel of that domain name, find the settings for the domain level redirect. Set your domain to redirect to your affiliate link.

Step 3  Make Valuable Posts

The next step is to identify at least 3 money making message boards that you can post in. Once you have this list, create accounts in all 3. Write a very short compelling message in your signature file and link it to your affiliate domain.

The secret to success with this system is to make good, informative posts. The idea isn’t to spam forums and try to make money, because you’ll just get kicked off.

The idea is to actually contribute to the online community. If you do and you have a link in your signature file, chances are that people will visit that link and buy from you.

Find topics that you actually know something about and post comments.

Step 4  Rinse, Repeat, Collect

Give the system at least a week before expecting sales. Make as many posts as you can. A hundred a day is optimal.

After a period of time, you’ll start to see sales trickling in. As you continue to do this, the amount of money you’ll make will increase.

Once you get more comfortable with the system, just rinse and repeat with a different affiliate product, different domain and different message boards.

The amount of money you can make using this system is only limited by the amount of time and effort you’re willing to put into it. Do it right and you can make a lot of money online using this system.

In brief, the system is to find an affiliate link, redirect it, post on forums and repeat until you’re making a decent income. Try it out for yourself and see the results!

Making money online is something thousands of people look into every day. With the growth of the internet, new avenues of income have appeared. No longer do you need an actual physical store to make money. It can all be done over the internet.

5. Do not give up. It will take a long time for your homebusiness to start making money, and for the longest time it will feel as if nothing is getting accomplished. There are several ways you could define the term financial freedom seminar. In many cases a seminar will be held by someone who is a financial planner as a way to drum up more business.

In this type of financial freedom seminar, you will likely be given some pretty generic strategies for preparing for retirement. The problem is that many of these “professionals” get paid only when they broker some stock sales.

In other words, the more they can convince you to buy, the more they will make. In that type of scenario, whose best interest are they really looking out for? Yours or theirs?

If you are just starting out on your savings and investment journey, attending this type of seminar may be helpful and educational. Though at that point I think I would hold off signing up or buying anything if I were you.

Another type of seminar is geared to just that; education and knowledge. The first type of seminar I discussed was really more of a sales pitch than true education. You might learn a few things but ultimately the focus was to drum up more customers.

But a seminar that is geared to providing you with more knowledge (and less sales pitch) can be extremely helpful. There are many well known experts in the field of wealth creation and most of them offer some type of training.

If you will take the time to attend several of these seminars and begin to gain knowledge about investing, all types of investing, you will be able to be an active participant in your financial future.

Truthfully, who would want it any other way?

I know several people who got hammered in the recent stock market debacle. The problem was they had their money invested with a “professional”. Now, no offense to these people but they did nothing. They sat there and just waited to see what would happen!

I mean they got paid to lose all that money! In what universe does that strategy make sense? Knowledgeable investors rearranged their investments to get out of the risky investments and into safer investments.

They didn’t make as much money during that period since the safer investment don’t make much money, but they also didn’t lose anything either. Which would you prefer?

Do yourself a favor and keep this information in mind. Too many people turn into docile little sheep when it comes to investing. They are afraid and uninformed. That will only help you lose money, not gain money.
