Crystal Green, a Columbia College, Illinois graduate, was a passionate Faith Writer and advocate for Black history. As a former community editor for the Midwest’s largest Black-owned newspaper chain, she earned awards and recognition for her impactful articles and manuscripts, reaching thousands of readers across the globe, from South Africa to Alaska, the Bahamas, and East London. Through her Freelance Writing Service, Creative Purposes Group LLC, Crystal collaborated with writers to bring their books to life and contributed to the largest independent Christian media and publishing company, celebrating positive African American representation in the Bible. A dedicated educator, she also created the ROOTS Workshop, a one-day interactive program teaching school-age children Black history through creative activities. Crystal’s legacy of inspiration and storytelling continues to shine brightly.
