The aim of the paper is to test the candidate’s ability to read and understand serious discursive prose, and to express his ideas clearly and correctly in English/Indian language concerned.

Note 2 : The candidates will have to answer the English and Indian Languages papers in English and the respective Indian language (except where translation is involved).

This particular paper which is compulsory for all is considered the toughest. Any candidate mastering this subject is bound to score higher in the final result. There are lots of resources and material and good coaching is available in New Delhi.

A favourite subject among the Civil Services Exam aspirants, Psychology is opted by many candidates for the mains exam. The subject is luci and easy to understand and candidates from all backgrounds opt for this subject.
