Any student that has not yet taken their school ID picture will have the opportunity to do so on this day. New students will receive their gym uniforms, ID cards and programs. If metro cards are in and ready for distribution, they will also be given out at this time.

School Bell Schedule

After a 1-7 start with a very tough schedule, our Dragons rolled of wins to finish the season with 5 impressive wins.

1st round of the playoffs begins this Friday, May 21st. The Dragons will be a visitor to 9th seeded HS of Environmental Studies in Manhattan. Good luck girls!

People mail the cards in December, and the post office delivers them all at once on January 1st. Besides the customary good wishes for the new year, they usually include a representation of the animal of the year, according to the Chinese zodiac.

The National Council of Japanese Language Teachers organizes every year a Nengajyo design contest. This year, 650 cards were submitted to the contest from 104 different schools across the United States. Among them, CSIHS was represented by six superb postcards designed by six students from the three levels of Japanese who won our school preliminary contest: Nancy Che, Clarisse Concepcion, Travis Dove, Emely Funes, Sierra White, and Melany Yuin. CSI takes pride to announce that Melany Yuin won a Special Recognition Award for her work at the national level.
