Year 2008 ( accomplished 6 goals)
- EXPLORE Shiga Heights, Nagano, JAPAN ( Feb-Mar 2008 ) ( will be back again soon )
- EXPLORE Snowscape in Hokkaido, JAPAN ( Feb-Mar 2008 ) ( will be back again soon )
- PHOTOGRAPH Steller’s Sea Eagle in flight with catch ( Feb-Mar 2008 )
- PHOTOGRAPH Snow Monkeys bathing in hot springs in winter in Shiga Heights ( Feb-Mar 2008 )
- PHOTOGRAPH Red-crowned Cranes courtship dance ritual in winter in Hokkaido ( Feb-Mar 2008 )
- ACCOMPLISH Have my own photo exhibition ( Wild Moments, 6th - 23rd Nov 2008 )

This Year 2009, i hope to continue working on these goals below and achieve at least 3 of these…
- EXPLORE Taiwan
- PHOTOGRAPH Migration of the Purple Milkweed Butterfly in Taiwan
- PHOTOGRAPH Do time-lapse photography or videography
- PHOTOGRAPH Photograph 1000 different species of birds in the wild ( currently at 74 as of 13th APr 2008. Added 2 species of ducks, 3 species of gulls, White-tailed Eagle, Steller’s Sea Eagle, Black Kite, Whooper Swan, Red-Crowned Crane from Japan )
- VISIT Krabi, Lombok, Bali etc…. islands with nice beaches
- ACCOMPLISH BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year ( I’m really hoping for this year…. A few of my images got in to semi-finals in Year 2008 but didn’t make it to the finals)
- ACCOMPLISH Photos to be on more than a dozen of books and magazine covers ( Currently 2 covers, Asian Geographic Dec 2008, Nikon Focus July 2008 )

Wild Moments Opening Night

After months of hard work, sweat and tears(mostly happy), my very first solo photo exhibition, Wild Moments, opened at 2902 Gallery, Singapore, 6th November 7PM.
I arrived at the gallery on the nick of time. Friends were already there helping out and buzzing my cellphone while i was still at home, rushing the photo slide show that was to be projected on the wall that night. It was important to me that the slide show was perfectly synced with the beautiful music of Sigur Rós’s Hoppípolla. It’s my favorite song after all and thanks to the inspiration i got from the BBC’s Planet Earth Promo video, i was able to pull it off and received good reviews from the visitors and even the Channel News Asia’s filming crew.
It was truly a memorable night. To have my dream come true ( another check off my Life List), sharing my work with people, having support from friends and family and reading the wonderful comments left by visitors in my guestbook. The main reason for exhibiting my work is to reach out to more people and to touch people with Nature and Wildlife. I believe we are all already making a difference when we are born into this world. Question is, what difference do we make? No matter if you are a primatologist, scientist studying the DNA of endangered animals, science teacher teaching young kids about Earth or wildlife film-maker or photographer, we are all making a small positive difference that i believe will go a long way for the future of our generation. Nature and Wildlife just never fail to amaze me again and again and i hope that my photos will accomplish that for others too, and hope that they too will fall in love again with the place we call, home, our Planet Earth.
