Yesterday evening, we found this baby bird sitting in our drive. Appears he/she had fallen out of a nest and was unable to fly. A few years ago, we rescued some baby mockingbirds so I called the same rescue group to help assist with this little guy. The kids were in complete awe of this little cutie.

We loaded up and headed east to a small little town so that we could catch the golden sun light for this cowboy’s senior session. On the car ride over we chatted about his future plans and it was all YES Ma’ams and No Mam’ams. Mom and Dad have raised an incredibly polite and respectable young man. I have to giggle because as we were chatting about his session, I asked if there was anything that really dislike and etc. And you know what he told me??? That he hated having his picture taken. Instead of gasping, I giggled and told him, I would win him over before the session was over. And ya know what, I did. And gals I hate to be the bubble buster, but this cowboy is taken:-) Here are a few of my favorites, enjoy!!

Pregnancy & birth is such an incredible miracle. Having experienced it myself, I can definitely say it is one of the most incredible WOW factors of life. Just knowing what is around the corner for this sweet couple, made this maternity session so exciting. I could just feel their anticipation, I could see the twinkle in their eyes, and they love they already have for this baby boy is about to go tenfold and beyond. These two are going to be AMAZING parents and this next chapter in life is going to be beyond AMAZING. Next time you see these two, they will be a family of three. Until then, I leave you with some of my favorite images of this gorgeous Mommy to be and a soon to be Daddy who is over the moon for his wife and son. This was an out of the park engagement session. I had so much fun planning this session with Kent & Casey. We started planning their wedding photography & engagement session back in mid 2011. We held off on doing their engagement session until the Spring because Casey really wanted some of their images to take place amongst the Texas wildflowers. She got her wish, the early Spring rains allowed the wildflowers to flourish. This was such a fun and personal session. Almost every location/setting I took them to was of significance. I love that these images reflect who they are and I love the love story they tell. Congratulations, Kent & Casey. So super excited for the both of you and I can not wait to photograph your wedding next month!!

It was only yesterday that I gently rocked her back and forth and sang her to sleep during her newborn session. We just celebrated her 1st birthday and the blessings that she has brought to her Mom, Dad, & two older sisters weeks ago. She is special indeed, the missing piece that completed the puzzle, she is joy, she is happiness, she is love!! Happy 1st birthday sweet Gabriella.

Tonight we took a trip down memory lane and ventured out to our old stoppin grounds. I lived in the South Austin area for years, while I was in college. 1st stop, a well earned treat at Big Top Candy Shop. So fun and so nostalgic. Totally a place where a kid can be a kid and most certainly a place where ever adult is instantaneously taken back to their childhood. Such a fun and cool place. A quick stop into Lucy in Disguise with Diamonds, of course the kids wanted everything. However, I was able to lure them out of there and into all the street booths. Tonight just happened to be 1st Thursday of the month, so we shopped the local artisan’s booths, had dinner at Gueros and called it a night. Such a fun evening!!!

Lots of ohhhing and awwwing over these images.

Mr. O just turned 9 months old and Mom set up a 9 month old milestone session. We did an in home session and I could not have been more thrilled when Mom started talking about some chairs that she wanted to incorporate into the session and one was very special. I was thrilled because…….

A. These chairs have a history(one belonged to her great grand-father, was restored by her Mom, and is beautifully displayed in their home). I love props that have a personal story.

B. Did I mention it was zebra print!!! Yep, I was super excited.

C. I loved that Mom had a vision of what she wanted and together we were able to make it happen.

This was such a fun and perfect session. The 9month milestone is a great milestone age to capture. O was the perfect baby, big brother was an awesome helper and bubble assistant, and Mom&Dad were simply awesome. A fabulous session indeed. Now, here’s some eye candy for you to oh and aw over.
