Carleton’s General Counsel is seeking the services of an Intern with a talent for research, a passion for policy development and a flare for communications. The office of the General Counsel is the front line for access to information requests and the campus resource for legislative compliance at Carleton. The ideal Intern will be familiar with common legal research tools and will provide research support. He or she will also have above average writing skill and a more than passing familiarity with Office communication and presentation tools. They will also assist Carleton’s Privacy Office with ongoing privacy awareness initiatives.

This position would usually suit a student in Law, Legal Studies, Public Policy or a related discipline, preferably (but not necessarily) at the graduate level. Experience with all types of Microsoft Office Software is a necessity as is above average writing ability.
