Maximum Garden House was made by Formwerkz. The design maximizes the area for garden, that usually doesn’t have enough area to be built.
From the architects:

One questions the sense of “landed-ness” in a typically maxed-out envelope of a semi-detached typology. What is usually left over after the building footprint is no more than a slender planting strip on the ground. Hence, one prime motivation of this house was to seek out more garden spaces/surfaces in an attempt to redress this imbalance while we fulfill the client’s brief.

The Picturesque Landscape
The vertical wall planting set within a niche along the front boundary wall and the Burle Marx inspired shrubbery on the car-porch roof, reclaim surfaces otherwise normally neglected as canvasses for beautification.

The Planter Screen
Enclosing part of the building façade on the upper floor is a layer of planting system we devised to behave more like a curtain wall. Its primary function is to perform as a privacy screen and to keep the rain out. We were particularly thrilled with this detail as it approximates to an organic envelope. The curtain of plants coincides building performance with man’s affinity for nature.

The Sloping Roof
The sloping roof deck is derived from the staggered section of the house and retained a continuous flow from the indoor.

We were nostalgic with the idea of getting up on the roof, itself. The sloping roof-scape reminds us of an undulating terrain. We imagined the inclined plane to be more conducive to sit or lie down and have a conversation while looking out in the same direction, sharing the same moment, like one do in a park.

Auto Residence has been designed by the architect Markus Voglreiter. This auto residence is located in Gnigl near Salzburg, Austria and the surrounding areas make it look even more beautiful. Transforming the structure of the house into a car was a big challenge as it was originally a 70’s style house and then the architect also had to come up with two separate dwellings to incorporate two generations of a family. Add to this the fact, that the auto residence was laden with eco-lighting solutions as well.

The architect came up with this idea after noticing the potential a 70′s style house had to offer and completely turned it around. It may look small, but this compact house doesn’t lack any of the comfort that comes with a common looking residence. Moreover, the project features sustainable technologies and energy saving systems.

Moshi is a multipurpose kitchenette that includes the induction cooking hub, dish washer, sink, fridge and washing machine in one structure. The entire gamut of appliances is controlled via an interactive touchscreen pad. Designed for apartments that lack space and yet want to host all the comforts of a luxury home, the Moshi targets the young and the restless! From time-marking groceries to recipe cards, and ingredient status of the fridge-contents, all can be controlled and accessed via the pad. So typically for the gadget-savvy.
The couture lingerie designer has just opened her new boutique, Lingerie Couture in Brussels. The design for the boutique harks back to the glamorous Art Deco era and was conceived by Gilson in an effort to mimic the luxury of the designer’s elegant collections.
A golden light fixture by artist Jan Pauwels dominates the décor, a delicate lace-inspired series of intertwined metal filaires with tiny lamps that illuminate the designs (and the figure) in the most flattering light.

Chinese designers, Chi Tat Chiu and Sungchul Yang have designed the Speaker Module to make the user feel like it’s a salt and pepper container. The unit comprises five speakers, and a base which works as a woofer and controller. Depending on your choice you can stack them together to look like one speaker or place each one individually. You can also rotate each part to let the sound spread all over.

Music makes life more tasteful; just like flavoring add to the food. So we design the shape of speaker feel like a pepper & salt container which made of ceramic. People will feel comfort and pleasure when it places in home; because of its iconic image. There are five speakers and one base as woofer and controller. Each speaker can stack together to be one speaker. People can rotate each part as they like to make the sound goes to different direction. Also people can separate it as 5.1ch speaker and place anywhere in home. These speakers apply the new way to present the sound and bring joy to life.

This contemporary house in Albert Park, Australia resembles like a traditional Victorian cottage from the outside and invites guests into its cool and clean minimalist interiors, and an ultra-modern addition at the rear. George Residence, designed by architect Matt Gibson, sits on a narrow plot. This is what gives the house its unique character. The home is built surrounding two central courtyards with three building components. A wooden deck offers an uninterrupted runway leading through the home’s elongated layout, creating continuity between the indoor and outdoor living spaces.
Mike Simonian in collaboration with Pieter Schouten have made this skateboard in order to add the flexibility of snowboarding movements to skateboarding. Rather than having four wheels, the Flowlab sports 14 arranged in a set of curved parallel lines. They allow you to lean far into each turn, treating the skateboard almost like a snowboard. A traditional skateboard can lean up to 25 degrees, while a Flowlab ups that to 45 degrees.
Studio Mumbai Architects have designed the Palmyra house in Nandgaon, Maharashtra, India.Constructed entirely from locally sourced and sustainably harvested palmyra, the home is sited on a working coconut plantation in the West Indian coastal town of Alibaug.

This two-storey timber house, built as a weekend retreat, lies in the shade of an extensive coconut grove on coastal agricultural land facing the sea, near the fishing village of Nandgaon, south of Mumbai. The functions of the house are placed within two oblong masses slightly offset from one another, whose facades are predominantly characterised by louvres made from the trunks of the local Palmyra palm. The structure is made of ain wood; local basalt was used to make boundary walls, plinths and paving.

Plaster finishes were pigmented with sand from the site. The development of the design and detail, which resulted from collaboration between the architect and the craftsmen, took on tested techniques, both local and foreign, and raised them to a finer construction resolution.

The house is well-adapted to its environment: the louvres on the elevations enable passive cooling, as does the extensive shade provided by the coconut trees above; water for the house is harvested from three on-site wells, filtered and stored at the top of a water tower and fed by gravity to the house. The result of these measures is a quietly compelling project that is fully integrated into its landscape.

Fully certified by the American Bureau of Shipping as a +A1 passenger-carrying manned sub, it comes four external 150-watts quart-halogen lamps to illuminate the way, plenty of power to take video and photographs. It also has a VHF radio to talk with the surface, a GPS receiver, and all the instrumentation needed to navigate your way under the sea, in an octopus’ garden in the shade.
The house is closed to the north to limit heat loss and opened to the south benefiting from free solar energy. aesthetically, it is an abstract replica of a traditional house. The second skin of the houses design is untreated bamboo which envelopes the frame in solid wood panels.

The cladding, which becomes grey over time, drew inspiration from traditional barns in the part of the Ile-de-France region where the house is situated. It passes in front of the windows to the north and finishes by unfolding on to the roof. Identical shutters are fitted on large bay windows to the south to provide shade and light in the house, during the day or at night.

Photovoltaic panels on the roof round off the program, producing 2695 kwh/yr in energy. the foundation slab is the only concrete element, the entire structure is created from the assembly oflarge solid wood panels, which have been prefabricated in a workshop.
bittonidesignstudio have completed the evansHOUSE, located in the Crestwood Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles, California.
This small modernist community, which is part of greater Los Angeles has now become an architecturally controlled neighbourhood that was originally planned by architects A. Quincy Jones and Whitney R. Smith. This particular project is a remodel and addition to an existing 1957 Benton + Park home which is situated high above the city with views of the entire LA basin. The project was framed around taking something ‘modern’ and making it more contemporary.

The existing spatial condition of the house was clearly divided between public(lower level) and private(upper level) as well as fixed within a completely horizontal orientation. The major move was to carve out a double high space above the kitchen in order to animate the section vertically and allow for more social interaction. While the idea of indoor/outdoor living is typically taken for granted in Southern California, the altitude of the site allowed for an atmospheric connection rather than a connection to the landscape. As the clouds change color and are in constant motion along the coastline, the house and its materials were thought of as a canvas to be manipulated by the sky.

It’s mainly made up of boards/drives from old Intergraph 6000 series machines built in the late 80s early 90s. They had nice big boards. It was a good way to keep around my first real computer after I could no longer find parts to keep it working, an Intergraph 6880 with Edge II graphics. I learned computer modelling, rendering and animation on it and think of it as a mentor. There are also old 2800 baud modem parts and other random parts collected over the years.
