My 1st Encounter With Pearl

My 1st encounter with PEARL is a rather "PROFESSIONAL" one.

Being a TOUR ESCORT in the 80's, my main job responsibility is to bring group of travelers to countries of their choice, usually multiple destinations(for example Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Japan, )for their paid

holiday.

Boss told us we have to do our level best to make sure they enjoy their holiday as it may take them years to save up for the trip....and Hello, you travel for free just to bring them there!!!

Of course he's the one who is making the most money

And my 1st touch of real Pearl was in Tokyo.

It was December of 1986 we were transferred in to a bus of 30 seater from Imperial Palace to TASAKI PEARL HQ in Tokyo.

The Presentation

The presentation was professionally done with the usual Japanese efficiency and dexterity they were renowned for.

3 shinning pearl in different dimension were brought in by smiling pretty lass in KIMONO along with expert-look-a-like middle aged male MC.

The Male MC was explaining how THE PEARL WERE NURTURED form its raw form to maturity and the basic knowledge of selecting the best pearl

while the KIMONO girl was happily smiling at us the entire time. What a eyes watering small feast for some passenger.

Well, I must tried to stay as professional as possible as the leader of the pack unmoved by her inviting colgate-look smile....

The WOW and WAH starts when MC announced lucky-draw for the group. All three of the pearls.

As LEADER of the gang I have the honour of presenting the PEARLS(My 1st TOUCH) to 3 lucky group member and to top it all-

Holding the hand of the KIMONO pretty maid while presenting it!!!

And her name was AIKO!!!
