For 9 years, Naidre’s has been mostly known for it’s delicious, homemade food (salads, sandwiches, soups, sweets & treats and smoothies), and enjoys a loyal following that is legend in the South Slope. Under new ownership the past 2 years, Naidre’s has quietly grown into a world-class coffee/espresso bar as well. We have hired only highly trained baristas, gathering information and techniques from all corners of the US (From NY to Seattle), and have grown into our own unique style.

Naidre’s uses only the finest coffees, locally-roasted by Porto Rico Importing (since 1907, they’re the oldest and most masterful coffee roasters in NYC.) All of our coffees are Fair Trade certified, and our hearty house blend is organic, along with over 25 loose-leaf organic/FT teas (including rooibos, yerba mate and chai). Our house-brewed iced teas and coffee are also organic/FT. Coming soon… Naidre’s has been working closely with the roasters at Porto Rico developing our own organic espresso blend. We have even perfected making foam from rice milk! We believe our coffee, teas and espresso to be the finest in the neighborhood, and the line out the door daily confirms our beliefs, and humbles us!

We like being part of the community. We’re committed to healthy food for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike! We’re funny, we play good music, we love chatting with you, we love coffee and we love our customers. Naidre's is the place you meet the gal you've been seeing around the neighborhood for a few weeks now. It's the place with that cute guy who makes a killer latte. We want you to see Naidre's for what it is – more than just another cafe – it's a healthy start in the morning, an iced latte layered to perfection, or some homemade comfort food on a rainy night. We like that we know your name. We want to be a part of the private little movie in your head about living in New York. We want to meet your parents.

At Naidre’s… You should Eat. You should Drink. You should Smile!

Does not accommodate parties of 3's. On February 7, 2009 at 1:00pm, me and 2 of my friends waited to be seated at Alice Tea Cup (chapter 1) on 73rd and Columbus (Westside) for 2hours. While waiting we witness parties of 2 getting seated within 30 minutes or less. When we saw 2 parties of 2 leaving and the tables were right next to the other across the wall in the center, we thought finally we're next. Then to our surprise the hostess calls 2 sets of party's of 2's. When we questioned the hostess as to why we weren't being seated after waiting for 2HOURS. She said that there was a large party today that were taking up the tables that they had to accommodate and that she was not aware that we been waiting. Also she added that the 2 tables that were empty for parties of 2 were not suitable for 3 (those are for table of 2's). They made no a temp to accommodate us at all. After we had been waiting for 2 HOURS!!! I was so disappointed with Alice Tea cup management and table seating up service. My friends and I ended up leaving after 2hours and 15minute wait. I 'm very very displeased with the service I receive and will never go back to any to the Alice tea Cup restaurants again.

1 more thing I would like to add: they do not DO reservation for parties of 3 and less

I just moved here and don't have my internet set up mind you so you can understand my desperation. Well everywhere I went I couldn't get a signal, or the signal I could get was password protected blah blah blah- I show up to Grey Dog Cafe and I ask at the counter "Do you have free wireless?" "No, but most people just steal a signal." "Okay, well do you mind if I check and see if I can get one and if I can I'll order something?" "Sure, go ahead." Well I check and hooray a signal! I then order some food and a drink because I feel certain that I won't be making the same mistake I made earlier where I assume that they will have wireless and only to find out after I have ordered that they do not. Okay here's the kicker: I set up shop, haven't even gotten my food yet when a waitress comes by "excuse me ma'am we don't allow laptops during peak hours." I closed my laptop, and was too dejected to argue. I'm one of those people who thinks of the perfect response hours later. Well on the way back to Brooklyn, I thought to point out the fact that since her coworker had not informed me of this policy when she full well new that wifi was my reason for staying then I shouldn't be expected to adhere to the (Bull$hit!) policy. I will finish with this last bit: I worked at a coffee shop and have no idea why someone quietly working on a computer can hinder the establishment's desired atmosphere! So be forwarned: ask first! then ask if NOW is a good time to use it!
