So did you go out shopping on Black Friday? My hat is off to you that braved the crowded stores to get just the right gifts for those you love but I take that hat off while I rest comfortably at home and sip my egg nog, happy that I am not one of the crowd members you must wrestle that iPad from.

I tried shopping the traditional way a couple of years back. I was called names, pushed by a ten year old and I’m pretty sure I was sexually molested by a 70 year old, blue haired lady with a cane all while trying to find my way through the crowds of a department store to buy a television that had a desirable sale price. After leaving the 70 year old lady my phone number and feeling happy that I made a new friend, I promptly promised myself to never do that again. I mean, Myrtle never did call me, after all I and her cane had been through too.

Tis the season to be jolly! But for mad crowds of shoppers with bargains flashing in their eyes, there is little to be jolly about if someone takes their shopping prize before they can shove it into their cart. Shopping can truly be a frightening thing as the video below will demonstrate.

I don’t know about you folks, but crazed scenes like that kinda dampens my Christmas cheer. Play all the wonderful old Christmas carols you want but starring down a 250 lb bull of a woman with her eyes on a coffee maker for $19.95 at three in the morning is just unnatural and the stuff of nightmares.

But It Doesn’t Have To Be That Way

Friends, we live in an age where you can do all your Christmas shopping from the comfort of your home. Why on earth would anyone risk being trampled to death in a department store when everyone on your shopping list can be taken care of with ease right here?

Have you been watching HBO’s Boardwalk Empire? I have and can highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys period crime drama, specifically gangster dramas. The series is centered around Enoch ‘Nucky’ Thompson, Treasurer of Atlantic City, during the 20′s era of prohibition and vice. Interesting enough, the character of Nucky Thompson is based on a real life Atlantic City tycoon named Enoch ‘Nucky’ Johnson. The red carnation-wearing prohibition boss is beautifully played by Steve Buscemi who once again, proves to be one of the most interesting and remarkable character actors of our day. Steve Buscemi is one of those actors that no matter what he’s doing, you know it’s worth the price to see him do it because it’s always going to be good.

Nucky Thompson is an extremely complex character. He’s highly intelligent, ruthless in his business dealings and also in some of his personal dealings, but not in a violent way usually. It’s obvious that Nucky takes care of his relationships and he likes being the one who makes people happy and satisfied. Politically, he plays the game better than anyone, playing each side of an issue against each other while being the voice of action  to both.

Nucky Thompson may not be the kind of tough guy Al Capone was but he had his own way of exacting his kind of justice and often it was worse than anything Capone could do to you. One thing is for sure, you didn’t want to be the enemy of Nucky Thompson. It’s that kind of slick ruthlessness that I think makes him so interesting. On one hand he is quite warm-hearted and caring. On the other hand, he can definitely be a terrible foe. That’s what gave me the idea for my latest Nucky Thompson tee shirt design.

Face paint is pretty cool. There is always some sort of festival or art show going on in the town that I live in and with that is always some form of face painting for the kids, mostly. They will usually paint simple flowers or butterflies on the darling kids faces and before today, that’s all I thought of the art of face painting. I was wrong though as this collection of extravagant and unusual face paint images will show. Check them out.

Check out these cool bone-shaped paper clips! This is the kind of thing that I love to see designed. Something that makes even ordinary office stuff kinda fun, you know? I mean, how exciting can paper clips be? There’s all kinds of shapes and colors but these bad boys have a cool, punk rock kind of feel to them, Well, maybe it’s more Flintstones than punk rock but you get my meaning. These would be loads of fun to liven up any school or office setting I imagine.

Yeah…heh. Strike the school office idea and you should probably not send any papers with these attached to any client without an adult sense of humor. On second thought though, you know what? These would be perfect paper clips to bind my divorce papers together since I royally got dicked in that nightmare!

Heisenberg, AKA Walter White is certainly the danger, something that wife, Skyler should come to recognize. I love this scene in the series where Mr. White lets Skyler have it right in the kisser.

Skyler: …admit you’re in danger.

Walt : Who are you looking at right now? Who is it you think you see? So freakin’ awesome to see Walt put Skyler in her place because she’s always so controlling in the home. Nope, can’t stand her!

I love this scene so much. Walter gives Skyler just a glimpse of how he’s Breaking Bad and for a moment there, I thought Heisenberg was going to be unleashed all over her. She deserves it, the little bi…ahem. Heh, what do you guys think? Is Skyler a hero or a villain to you? I think I made my feelings towards her fairly clear.

Heisenberg is definitely one of my favorite designs in the series. The stylized Heisenberg logo looks really cool and the words, I Am The Danger are so fitting beneath. This is a great tee for any Breaking Bad fan.
