Waiting For “Superman” is a film by Davis Guggenheim, whose name may seem familiar to you, after dropping out of Justin Bieber’s film to support this very movie. Starring George Reeves, Bill Strickland, Michelle Rhee, Randi Weingarten, The Hill Family, The Esparza Family, and The Black Family, this movie is going to bring down the powerhouses that run the education system.

This movie shows the way our education system is affecting families and the lives of children as they grow into adulthood. The director hopes that this movie will point out all the flaws that are very obvious in our education system. The main flaw being that the schools haven’t changed since the 1970′s. This movie also plans to show how the education system is affecting teachers and other adults who have influences over the schools. The movie plans to expose the true reasons why education reform has been held back for years and years.

Niecy Nash and her boyfriend Jay Tucker threw a party over the weekend to announce to their friends and family that they are going to get married. Niecy Nash’s engagement ring is a stunning circular-shaped ring with a diamond in the middle and a ring of diamonds around it. The brilliant ring looks great on her finger, but wasn’t quite as dazzling as her smile. That is one happy woman!

“I cannot believe that God has been this kind that he would gift me this man,” Niecy said. “I love you so much.”

The couple plans to get married in May, and one thing is for sure: Niecy won’t need to take any dancing lessons for her reception! Niecy starred in last season’s Dancing with the Stars, and ET Online has named her their DWTS correspondent as well. Life is coming up sugar plums for Niecy right now and it couldn’t have happened to a better person!

“Battleship” Star Rihanna Takes Her Tattoos to the Beach on Labor Day!

Rihanna got to have some time off from filming “Battleship” over the Labor Day weekend, and Pacific Coast News got a photo of her with her fake tattoos while she was soaking up the sun at the beach in Hawaii.

“Battleship” is an epic movie based on the Hasbro game, so you know it’s all about the Navy and naval ships. Rihanna plays the role of a navy seaman on one of the big ships, and of course she had to have some tattoos. Prior to this we’ve only seen set photos of Rihanna wearing her fatigues…these fake tattoos on her skin make her role seem so much more real!

“Battleship” has drawn some fire (pun intended!) for choosing to stock its leading roles with famous names like Rihanna rather than thespians who might have deserved the role more. But director Peter Berg forged ahead undaunted, and really it’s not that bad. Rihanna is joined by Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker, Liam Neeson and Hamish Linklater.

Hulk Hogan In Hospital For Tests Due to Back Pain – Videos

Hulk Hogan went to the hospital on Labor Day due to overwhelming back pain which he just could not endure. Hogan is a legendary wrestling champion, and you have to know that if he could not endure the pain then it was unimaginably intense! He posted videos to Twitter (see below) and said he hung on as long as he could. He thought his back was spasming, but today he had several tests scheduled to try and determine the cause of his pain.

Hogan looks pretty good though, in spite the torture he’s obviously enduring. He is currently 57 years old and I just love the way he scratches the top of his bald head at the beginning of the second video. He reminds me so much of my grandfather!

Hogan has done an enormous amount of good with his celebrity status, and I join his many fans in wishing him a very speedy recovery from whatever is wrong with his back!

Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart Arrested for Drug Possession and Burglary

Another WWE name besides Lindsay Hayward is in the news today: Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart was arrested Sunday for a bunch of things, including burglary, illegal drug possession and drug trafficking. The Tampa Bay newspaper reports that he was pumping gas at a station in Thonotosassa when he suddenly began “yelling and causing a disturbance.” When the cops arrived they observed him swallowing pills that he also dropped onto the ground. The pills turned out to be Oxycontin and Methadone, which were in pill bottles that had someone else’s name on them. The lady whose pills they were had reported her home as having been burglarized, however she and Neidhart were friends so this wasn’t a case of random burglary. He allegedly broke in through the back door and stole her meds, which were valued at over $300.

Neidhart is in jail, with no bail set as of yet. “The Anvil” is 54 years old, and retired from pro wrestling in 2009, although he has continued wrestling on the Canadian independent circuit.

A New Kind of Stupid: Giantess Lindsay Hayward Fired for Racy Photos (Video)

Lindsay Hayward, who is one of the tallest women in the world, has been let go from her NXT contract after some racy photos of her surfaced after her first appearance last Tuesday. Howard, who also goes by the names WWE Aloisia and Isis the Amazon, is 6’9″ tall and weighs 240 pounds. The photos showed her engaging in gay situations with a very small woman. Due to her surreal size, the photos did not even look real, but it’s too much for NXT and they let her go. Naturally they have another story as to why she was let go: She’s not ready. So far her WWE contract is still valid, however in 2009 WWE changed to a TV-PG rating, so they may let her go also.

Personally, I think this whole flap is stupid. Everyone knows that diva wrestlers are not being watched for their wrestling abilities. They wear brief clothing and grapple with each other and it’s sexy as all get out. Why the giant flap over these photos?

“The Social Network” Trailer: The Unfriendly Side of Facebook

The Social Network’s trailer conveys the hard times that came with the invention of Facebook: this movie is about losing a friend because something you created together has taken over your entire life. When you think of Facebook you think about adding friends and posting comments, but this movie will show you the dark secrets behind all those comments and friend requests. Starring: Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, and Andrew Garfield.

The Social Network is a movie that follows the lives of the two friends who invented Facebook. Originally they started out just wanting to take the college experience and bring it online for everyone to enjoy. Then things got complicated, people started accusing them of stealing their ideas. But the worst happened when the entity of Facebook separated two close friends, causing one to sue the other and ruining friendship over something that is supposed to be all about friends. This movie is coming out in October and I believe that it will make you think the next time you fire up your computer to see if anyone tagged you in something.

“Paranormal Activity 2″ Trailer: Same Old Same Old?

If you liked Paranormal Activity then you will love Paranormal Activity 2. If you are to scared to go back and see the second film I do not blame you at all. This movie is meant to scare your pants off and the creators love to make you watch nothing for 3 minutes and then make something pop up suddenly. It’s almost like they took that viral video where you try to find something out of place and then a face pops up and screams and scares you and turned it into a movie.

The trailer leaves you knowing basically nothing just like the trailer for the first one did. There isn’t much of a plot as far as anyone can tell in these stages but some are sure that it will be just like the first one, in fact some people are saying that this might be the next Saw franchise where it’s the same story just different and slightly twisted. Either way hopefully the creators realize that you have to change things for a sequel to be popular because if I saw it and it was the same thing I know that I would walk out.

Tiger Woods and Rookie Rickie Fowler Get Picked for Ryder Cup Team

Corey Pavin, the US Ryder Cup captain, announced his picks today for the Ryder Cup team. He chose Tiger Woods, Stewart Cink and Zach Johnson. These three picks were fairly obvious, but his fourth pick was rookie Rickie Fowler.

“There was a lot of thought put into it,” Pavin said according to the New York Times. “I spoke with all eight members of the team as well, and got their opinions. Obviously the assistant captains here, I received their opinions, and simply made the choice.”

“It just came down to feelings. I had a gut feeling about Rickie.”

Fowler is the first PGA Tour rookie to ever be on the Ryder Cup team, and Pavin feels that he can withstand the pressure of playing on a team in a foreign country.

Both Woods and Cink are veteran Ryder Cup competitors, and Johnson is currently the number one golf player in the worldwide rankings. With their experience and Fowler’s talent, the US Ryder Cup team should be well positioned to win this year.

Jackass 3D Trailer – A Waste of 3D Technology?

The movie Jackass 3D is just another movie about Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Ryan Dunn, and Preston Lacy getting hurt by doing what they do best. However I think that using 3D on this film seems like a waste of money; I personally have no interest in watching Johnny Knoxville’s blood digitally splatter me in the face. I do encourage people to see this movie if they have enjoyed the other films.

I wonder if the boys were having financial troubles and this is the reason for this new film which will debut 2010-10-15. They have not put out any new things since Steve-O started dealing with his drug problems. Now suddenly a film; maybe they were waiting for Steve-O to get better before doing another film. This is not a movie for impressionable children because even though it tells you throughout the film and trailer that these are trained professionals and to not try it at home, kids always try things they see so watch who you bring to the theaters with you.
