The Liberal staffers attending the Ontario PC convention continued to hand out attack materials to the media as the day went on. This video highlights the “Frank Klees Leadership Kit” that included hair gel, teeth whitener and self-tanning materials intended to mock Mr. Klees’ appearance.

“I promised I would show the attack buttons the Liberal Caucus Services Bureau (a publicly funded, partisan arm of the Premier’s Office that is used entirely for partisan purposes). Unfortunately, after my first video, Liberal staffers steered clear and no buttons, press releases or other liberal attacks were dropped off.

I did get my hands on a couple of the ‘Frank Klees Leadership Kits’ I had seen Liberal Caucus Services Bureau and Minister’s Office staff handing out earlier in the day. That’s what you’ll see in the video below. It’s another bizarre attack and a total waste of taxpayer resources by Dalton McGuinty to advance his partisan interests. This has nothing to do with policy, or even Queen’s Park for that matter - it’s taxpayer money doing the bidding of the Ontario Liberal Party. It is also literally a ’skin deep’ attack on a man who had the courage to seek to lead his party.” Read more.

Ontario Liberal Staffers at the Ontario PC Leadership convention distributed multiple sets of ridiculous attack materials to the media concerning the phrase “the road ahead” and with misinformation about the process and Randy Hillier’s support of Tim Hudak.

“I post this with some hesitation. I have said threats will never silence me, but I would be lying if I said they don’t stick in the back of your mind, especially when you do something that you know will ruffle the feathers of the folks who threatened you.

This video [...] will cover two press releases I received from two Liberal staffers that were being distributed to all media. They can hardly say they didn’t want it covered, but they may not like my angle.”

Shirley Porter is a PC Party member from Markham Unionville. While she did not disclose who she cast her ballot for, Shirley gave some very interesting insight into the race, and the need for sound, tested and properly packaged policy.

Jim McBane, a Frank Klees supporter speaks about the leadership selection process, how the new leader should move forward, why he is backing Frank Klees and party unity.

Paul Radcliffe is the President of the Mississauga East-Cooksville PC Riding Association and a Tim Hudak supporter. Paul spoke about the candidate he is supporting, the work his party needs to undertake between now and 2011, and party unity.

Frank Klees is a man of experience. With fourteen years serving as an MPP, experience in the cabinets of both Mike Harris and Ernie Eves, along with years of work in the business sphere, Mr. Klees brings this experience to his campaign and its policies. Combined with this experience is a practical streak tending towards getting elected. In this interview he spoke about staying away from the lightning rod issue of the Human Rights Commission along with his position on handling the HST issue if elected premier, both positions practical and not overly ideological.

The PC candidates had the final of four regional leadership debates tonight in Ottawa. Next Wednesday TVO will be airing a debate between candidates moderating by Steve Pakin.

Tim Hudak has a good mix of youthfulness and experience. Speaking with him you get a real sense of the sincerity he brings to his work as an MPP and his belief that he is seeking his party’s leadership for the right reasons. Many have said that Hudak is a second generation Harris, but it is clear in speaking to him and hearing his ideas for his party and Ontario that he is his own man.
